| I was thinking today about the inherent weakness of the abusive cults (WELS-LCMS-ELS-ELDONA-CLC-ELCA) and their failure at success with very large congregations. Since the leaders above always look for sociological reasons, I figure that it is the same old story. Nasty, arrogant, too-good-for-you members and pastors do not attract new people to their churches. The sourpuss members and pastors are content with scrapping, fighting, and pure ugliness. The doctrinal reason is their lack of faith. They worship and adore their organizations, yap about all kinds of trivia, and never fail to mention their buddies and pedigrees...daily. There is little room for the basic points of the Christian Faith, which is easily revealed in their vapid promotion of the NIV, ESV, RSV, NRSV, and the Beck Annuity for CN. The self-appointed leaders hate the best Bible, the King James Version, even though an overwhelming majority favor the KJV over The Evil Four - NIV, ESV, RSV, NRSV. The denominations love statistics, but the statistics show their snip-and-clip Bibles are read at 10% each while the KJV group is at 60%. The members that remain can discern the better Bible. |
