How treacherous for the lost and believers alike when the religious leaders practice their own brand of superstition.

You have got to be kidding! I can't imagine any WELS pastor endorsing that stuff.
I was once given a Cho book by a co-worker and an immediately alarm bells went off inside me. I knew this was something other than Christian doctrine and believe me I was not exactly a confessional Lutheran at the time. Very occultic, but then I knew plenty of pentecostal types then.
