The MLC people in this group don't realize how bad this makes the WELS look that you are in this group.
The students who made this video made a gay copy of a video made by openly gay people. And it couldn't have come at a worse time as President Schroeder is attacking ELCA for its decision to use openly gay pastors.
I am an MLC student (fake name), we go to the WELS college of ministry for Christ. Its unbelievable that people from MLC are trying to refute Mikail's attempts to make us realize how wrong we are here. I am ashamed for every single MLC student in this fan page.... See More... See More
The video was taken down as a healing effort by the WELS to get over this video, which is a black eye to all the WELS. (Believe me, MANY people outside the WELS are attacking the synod because of this video). Even most of the people who have made this video have repented and are ready to move on. So should you.

GJ - Poor Mr. Leyrer is the victim of a sub-standard education. Originally, a lay leader of WELS sent me the information because he was so disgusted with it. The MLC/WLC response was to post dozens of smart-aleck remarks, like you know, they needed a hobby or something. I mean, do they teach English at those school? Seriously. I find them totally amazing.
Another blog found the video posted in Portugal.
A reader found the video posted on Facebook, where MLC's gay video has 500 more fans (mostly WELS) than The CORE's fanpage. The CORE's marketing department probably has some new ideas for Ski's celebrity poses: Tom Cruise, Prince, Adam Lambert, John Travolta, and John Waters.
WELS has been preaching culture-evangelism for years, thanks to Valleskey, Kelm, Olson, and Huebner. Now they have the results - "By their fruits ye shall know them."

Cheryl Lynn Grady Our daughter shared this with us on her first trip home -- and we were VERY dismayed to hear it had been removed. Her Dad and brothers and I all enjoyed this very much. We thought the guys put so much work into this -- what a shame to remove it! Our youngest son said "I think they did a GREAT job! I wanted to see it again!"

Jacko, I don't really get why you post. No one listens to you, and no matter what the WELS did you would never come back. You're not helping yourself and you're not helping the synod. It's like you're an angsty teen who has too many emotions and this is your only outlet. Yes, these four people have direct control over every Lutheran grade school and high school and directly influence the preaching style and Christian guidance of every WELS pastor. I agree with you in that the video should not have been made and definitely not posted on YouTube, but to imply that these four (or even others like Ski and Glende) have influenced every person that likes this video is completely unfounded. It's a popular song, and whether anyone over the age of 40 likes it or not, it's likely going to be a staple song of this generation of youth. I love "Party in the USA" and many other Miley Cyrus songs. I also like The Beatles, Relient K, Elvis, and countless other artists. I have never met the four people you mentioned, and hadn't even heard of them until I attended MLC for a year and a half. What The CORE is doing with the Christmas movies and such is culture evangelism. How Miley Cyrus or any of her songs relate to culture evangelism in the slightest is beyond me. Unless you were making some sort of poor joke at the video being an attempt at culture evangelism. In which case: ha ha ha.
This is the Information Age. Anyone with an Internet connection is open to countless, countless different forms of culture. What are you suggesting? No more Internet, TV, or culture at all for anyone in the WELS or Christianity in general?
Also, it's truly sad that the anonymous sheep that post on this blog have no other insults than calling people they've likely never met "uneducated" or "Satanic." Claiming someone to be of the devil is quite a serious claim, especially if they believe in the Christ as their true and only Savior.
And how do you know Leyrer's education is substandard? For the record, I'm very close friends with one of his grade school classmates. The classmate is a very successful UW Madison student, goes to the downtown Chapel regularly, and is one of the smartest people I know. So, sorry to ruin whichever sheep's "kindergarten education" joke that was.

I guess the Pharisees would point out that since Paul didn't precisely mention posting yourself on Facebook with a floozy in your arms, or romp around in a proto-homosexual manner then show the video to the world, then it's all okey-dokey.
I guess you didn't read my post. Oh well.
The reason I brought it up was to reinforce that it isn't Greg Jackson that is bringing this subject up again and again, but the opposite: the kids who created the group are the ones bringing it up again. And the result is a lack of respect for the office of the "lil fairy" teachers-to-be.

The point is, there's really nothing that can be done about it. Pastor Jackson is absolutely correct. The video cannot be removed from the Internet. Nor can the Facebook fan page? Why? Because no one from the group of the video's creators created the fanpage. Saving a YouTube video is so simple a child can do it. Converting it to a normal video file like .avi or .wmv is almost equally as simple. No "apology" can undo the harm the video has done, so why not just forget about it? What good does complaining about it over and over again do?
It's not an apology Reverend Jackson wants, but contrition.
The "Party in the MLC" men didn't create the group, but many of them belong to it and are happy it exists.
If anyone is arguing it should have been taken down from Youtube, its existence, in HD, on Facebook is worth the same argument.
I agree with you Michael. I wasn't aware that it was reuploaded on Facebook, I haven't really bothered to look for it, or look for who is a member of the group because because I don't really care about the video that much. When I saw it during Homecoming, it was just that: a Homecoming video. I really looked at it no differently than Bugs Bunny dressing up in drag, and the way I took the Facebook comment about the boy's teacher "dressing up like a fairy" was the same way, but perhaps I'm in the wrong.
I just find it strange that nobody has gone up to these men personally and confronted them if it really is as big of a deal as everyone makes it out to be.
It seems like nobody is doing this:
"If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. Instead, everyone seems to be doing this:
Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.
The point of some (not all) of these blog posts seems to be made simply to provoke others, mostly made by the faceless and cowardly anonymous posters. Constructive Christian criticism seems to be nowhere in abundance. At least not in direct relation to the party of men who created the video.
I don't even know why I'm bothering. I'm sure if they weren't members of that fan page and didn't upload the video to Facebook, they would still be lambasted at every possible chance. Looking at the glass half-empty is the best possible Christian attitude, am I right?
