The complete Bourman paper is now up. It includes the previously missing page 6 with lines 91-122 of text:

The question is, "Who put the young Pastor Bourman up to writting such a paper?" His sermons on Justification look NOTHING like the contents of the universal, objective justification essay!(I inserted the comma as Pastor Bourman did the same) The term 'universal objective justification' is not taught in Bible Class or used in a sermon. Why all the secrecy? If it is "God's Word," why are congregations not being introduced to UOJ? Yes, many pastors use the word "objective" and others only use the word "universal," but that is the gist of it.
Bourman is not a bad pastor, nor does he fall in the evil genius category of the C&C. Somebody made him present that essay. Even John Buccholz's arm was twisted into writting that 2005 convention paper. This is WRONG! I hold those overseer's of young pastors accountable. Now Bucccholz was a "big grown-up" and should have acted like one.(ex-SP Gurgel must have been very convincing)
Speaking of Gurgel, he presented at this same conference. "Ain't it a small world?"

Based on the essay written in by his hand he confesses UOJ in all it's sordid blasphemy. I don't know how you can say that he's not a bad pastor. Even if he was coerced into writting the essay he still had a choice between Christ and obeying man and he apparently chose to serve man.
DP Buchholz and I discussed UOJ prior to the 2005 Convention. He agreed at the end that Justification can only be spoken of in the words that Christ uses and in the way the Christ uses them. He told me when he finished the essay but that I couldn't read it until after the Convention. He made directly contradictory statements within the pro-UOJ essay and would never admit the error. He only said some have been guilty of sloppy writing.
Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
Galations 1:6-9 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
2 Timothy 2:12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
Based on this it's time to stop rubbing the essence of roses on the false teachers who are leading people to Hell with the false security of UOJ by teaching a false gospel and a man made way to righteousness. It doesn't help people to discern the truth when those who promote false doctrine are called 'good'. I can appreciate your anger over their attack on Christ's Church.

For those who are currently studying the doctrine of UOJ consider this.
One of UOJ's most basic teachings is that the whole unbelieving world, dead in sins, has been declared righteous by God's divine verdict. There are a multitude of quotes to provide this proof including the recent WELS South Central essays on UOJ. I will quote a current WELS District President, Pastor Jon Buchholz in his 2005 WELS Convention essay on Justification as it has been used to teach thousands of men, women and children this doctrine:
"Jesus then offered his innocent life as the payment (atonement) for the guilt of sinners. In this great transaction that took place on the cross, God removed the guilt of the world’s sin and replaced it with the righteousness of Christ."
"Here is the legal or juridical nature of justification, revealed at Calvary. The change does not take place in the sinner. The change takes place in the relationship or the status between a sinner and God.2 A verdict has been rendered, which declares man free of sin and guilt, righteous in God’s sight, and worthy of eternal life, for Jesus’ sake."
and, "God has declared the entire world righteous." This statement is true, as we understand it to mean that God has rendered a verdict of "not-guilty" toward the entire world. It is also true—and must be taught—that the righteousness of Christ now stands in place of the world’s sin; this is the whole point of what Jesus did for us at Calvary."
Now compare that confession of UOJ to the Lutheran Confessions here:
Apology of the Augsburg Confession
by Philip Melanchthon
Translated by F. Bente and W. H. T. Dau
Published in: Triglot Concordia: The Symbolical Books of the Ev. Lutheran Church.
(St. Louis: Concordia Publishing House, 1921), pp. 97-451 Part 3
_What Is Justifying Faith?_
"The adversaries feign that faith is only a knowledge of the history, and therefore teach that it can coexist with mortal sin. Hence they say nothing concerning faith, by which Paul so frequently says that men are justified, because those who are accounted righteous before God do not live in mortal sin."
Note that according to the Lutheran Confessions those accounted righteous before God do not live in mortal sin.
UOJ has no response to this as the doctrine of UOJ declares the distribution of Christ's righteousness for the forgiveness of sins prior to faith and that their second Justification (Subjective) through faith only accepts that the first declaration of Justification (Objective) was true and complete.
Just another Scriptural and Confessional point of fact in which UOJ falls apart as a false man made doctrine opposed to Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit.
