The Circuit of Tweedledum and Tweedledee.
Where Glende Fires the Circuit Pastor.
Not Apt To Teach

I had to set up a menu of links for the latest examples of pastoral care in the Anything Goes District of WELS, headed by Deputy Doug Englebrecht, aka Cap'n Huff N Puff.

Some highlights reveal, in the posts below, or linked on the extreme left:
1. WELS Pastor Tim Glende denied plagiarizing Craig Groeschel.
2. Not one Intrepid spoke up at the Northern District convention, but they did -
a. Gerrymander the district to remove the annoying circuit pastor.
b. Re-elect Deputy Doug Englebrecht.
3. Rick is not allowed to transfer to another WELS congregation for doctrinal reasons, because they all agree about doctrine. That part is probably true of Fox Valley. They work with and fund The Salvation Army, for pity's sake.
4. Blogg-watcher Tim Glende has assumed the right to censor the blog of one of his members, not for being wrong, but for being right. Relax Rick, he does the same thing for me, through his anonymous blogs which appear and disappear again, according to whim.
5. The St. Peter council has no problem with plagiarism or the promotion of false doctrine. Neither does the District President.
6. Choosing to believe is a Lutheran doctrine - news to me. Mequon supports it - not news to me.

Let unsaid is the decided doctrinal cowardice of the Synod President, the circuit pastors, the members and pastors.

Rick called me a few names for publishing his 29-page letter. He already published it by sending it to the numbskulls of his district. Somebody passed it along somewhere, because I got it. There is an old saying, "It's secret until you tell another person." It is not a secret when you send a letter to a dozen or more. So, please do not try our patience by claiming a felony when it was not even a misdemeanor.

I was doing everyone a favor. A supreme court justice wrote, "Sunlight is the best disinfectant."

That is why WELS wants everything undercover. They keep the murders, abuse, and embezzlements a secret for two reasons. One is to maintain their holier than thou image (which few believe anyway). The other is to track anyone who leaks. If most are afraid to tell, the search is narrowed to a few.

No one ever asks, "Is this true?" or "What are we doing about this horrible mess?" They ask, "Who told you?" That by itself implies a profound fear that the truth may come out.

That was the big question when a journalist asked SP Gurgle about the pastor promoted to a cush job for being an adulterer. He asked one pastor, "Did you tell?" That pastor asked me, "Did you tell?" I am seldom the ultimate source.

I am more like Walmart or Sears. I do not manufacture the news. I distribute it. There are many sources and they keep changing.

The most significant source is the Internet. These blokes cannot stop bragging about themselves, so they leave the evidence all over the Net. I could track what The SORE was doing from their website, Katie's Tweets, Ski's Tweets, and a few other accounts, like Stetzer's.

Tim Glende's response has been to suggest paying $20 a month for a service that will zap the results of a Google search. Just donate the money to Bethany Lutheran instead, because at 500,000 page reads a year, Ichabod is not being de-rezzed from the Internet searches.

KJV 2 Timothy 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, 25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Ski and Glende are not apt to teach. They are inept. They have admitted that by plagiarizing Groeschel and copying many other Enthusiasts. DP Doug is no better, because he is unable to teach Lutheran doctrine in his snow-shrouded corner of Lutherdom.

Where are the stalwarts of Lutheran doctrine? Not at Mequon. I have seen quivering bowls of Jello with more substance. Not at The Guilt Factory, formerly known as The Love Shack.
