Extreme Disappointment

I have talked with 29A about my home congregation (Augustana, then LCA) never fitting in with the Lutheran congregations of today. We only had liturgical services and Gospel sermons. The pastor wore a cassock and surplice, not clothes for cleaning his garage. Many musical instruments were used at various times, but they were not rock bands. We sang hymns.

I never imagined that Lutherans would abandon the Scriptures and Luther. The Lutherans have become, in 50 years, the least willing to stand up for their own confessions and beliefs, the most likely to attack someone for quoting Luther and adhering to his doctrine.

Pietism has won, and with it, the spirit of indifference, paving the way to apostasy.

Work with a denomination that aborts the babies of its own clergy - on the health plan? No problem. The "conservative" synods denounce ELCA, but follow with their tongues hanging out.

Work with a denomination that ordains homosexuals and excommunicates those who dissent from this novel idea? Once again, the "conservative" Lutherans cluck their tongues and point their fingers, but go along happily. WELS even has its own gay video on YouTube, republished on Facebook. How edgy is that?

Tolerate every possible attack on the Scriptures? The Syn Conference fragments and shards do that with alacrity. In fact, nothing sets them off faster than Luther's justification by faith.

Endorse and promote Fuller's systematic attack on Lutheran doctrine and worship? WELS, Missouri, and the Little Sect have all been doing that since the 1970s, skimming millions of offering and grant dollars to train more apostates who also loathe Lutheran doctrine and worship.

People should be grateful to St. Peter/CORE for exposing the final results of Church and Change, since the parish is entirely a Church and Change operation:
1. Ron Ash is the chairman of the Changers.
2. Ski was on the board of Church and Change.
3. Tim Glende is obviously a willing lackey.
4. DP Englebrecht is the ultimate enabler, using silken words, duck and cover, to embed toxic doctrine.
5. SP Schroeder is the CEO of Church and Change, so all the members pay his salary, so he can ignore everything.
6. Jeske is the Lutheran jester, making fun of closed communion while straddling two denominations, bewitching both to support his New Age empire.

The Changers abuse members in many different ways. Today my classmates were talking about bad dentists who make people fear dentistry the rest of their lives. One woman flew to another city to go to one she could trust. Another one needed someone with her for each procedure, because of her first experience.

Do the WELS pastors and leaders ever suspect that people flee WELS and the ELS for the same reasons?
