Thomas Cole - The Subsiding of the Waters after the Flood

Thomas Cole, The Subsiding of the Waters after the Flood, 1829
Future posts will be less frequent, with a greater emphasis on the Chabod (the peculiar glory of the Means of Grace) and a lesser emphasis on the Ich - (has departed). Or, you might say - the Ick - the stories of apostasy, the cover-ups.

I have several book projects to complete, and blogging uses up time and energy. That is one reason.

Another is the indolence of the clergy. They know what is happening. The evidence is posted. They choose not to know. As one WELS circuit pastor said, "I am stupid...and fat." That closed off all discussion of anything significant. He is now out of a job, so going along does not always work so well, even among the wolves.

A third reason is the cowardice of the clergy and laity, who know better. The worst are the complainers who    can be counted on to back down when threatened by the mini-popes. The temporary complainers are greasing the slide.
