United Lutheran Seminary – Gettysburg + Philadelphia

Latini, the new president of United, is a Presbyterian pastor.
She was once the assistant dean of diversity.
That job is so big in mainline schools that they need
a dean of diversity and an assistant dean.
July 20, 2017 —  A newly configured United Lutheran Seminary staff and faculty is preparing to welcome more than 60 new students for the fall semester in the first professional degree areas, including preparation for pastoral ministry (Master of Divinity degree) and diaconal and other service areas (Master of Arts in Ministerial Leadership).  The semester begins in late August, 2017, with shorter intensive format courses starting earlier in August and student orientation on August 26th.

The entire study body of Bethany Lutheran Seminary
squeezed into a room for their group photograph.

GJ - This is a foreshadowing of the union of the four SynCon seminaries -
  1. Bethany in New Ulm, Minnesota
  2. Mordor in Mequon, Wisconsin
  3. Concordia in St. Louis
  4. Concordia in Ft Wayne
All four schools have cratered, and their denominations are looking more like sinkholes every day.

Money will not get them more students, so the bean counters must wonder why they all spent so much money on buildings and so little on supporting the students they were bankrupting with loans.

Not only that, a newly ordained graduates of their schools have the life expectancy of machines gunner in WWI. They are tossed out -after their loans are maxed out - with nothing to show but useless credits.
