Earth Day - 50 Years Ago

From My Education Expert:
Today is the 50th anniversary of the first "Earth Day" 1970.   The  first significant celebration of Earth Day happened in San Jose, CA when San Jose State students  with encouragement from
leftist professors and others, purchased a new car and buried it accompanied by a funeral for the car.   I still have the old original front page news coverage of the old San Jose Mercury News which I copied through the years for my children and grand children to use in school when they opposed the whole thing as political scam.

The newspaper is now a regional paper, no longer San Jose Mercury News, but it seems to me that at least one mention of the San Jose State's kick off of Earth Day 50 years ago would be of significant local interest.....UNLESS.....a new more personally applicable  tool  to contend with after Environmentalism (earth worship) has been rung out and squeezed until not so useful any more.  Perhaps COVID-19 or other more personally invasively trackable "enemy" to be phased in while Earth Warming hysteria is to  take a back seat?
