Foundation Grant Allows For Needed Installation

A large but anonymous foundation grant has allowed Mary Lou College to install a radar dish on Old Main. The college president, who did not want to be named, said, "If we would have had this earlier, a lot of stress could have been avoided concerning that video." He asked not to be named, adding, "They know which video."

You can tell the men from the boys by the price of their toys.

I think that dish is actually the shield generator that protects the Eternal Death Star and its UOJ Stormtroopers.

NPH provided another "in" for contemporary church. Back in 1997 they had a Christmas program where the students sit around on ottomans in front of the church casually talking about the Christmas story instead of the normal oratory and recitation. All that's needed is some larger speakers, larger overhead screen, and popcorn, and you've recreated CORE at any WELS church.

These Xmas programs are being reused whenever a group doesn't like the current NPH offering--like this year the NPH offering has 7 hymns out of the sampler that no one knew. There's no way to our young group to learn that much new material. So guess what?! It's bring out the ottomans time and redo the 1997 NPH offering.

You may have gone too far with this post, Pastor.

Andover Seminary near Boston and Colgate seminary combining due to decreased enrollment and their endowment fund down to a paltry $40 million between the two schools. Ironically, they use the same euphemism that Seabury Seminary did last year when they downsized--that they are merely finding a "new model" viable for delivering seminary education in today's world. In other words they are flat broke and would go bust within a year if they didn't do something drastic.

"...this joint venture may usher in a new model for graduate theological education."

"If a partnership is established, the schools would have a combined endowment of approximately $40 million and an enrollment of 450 students. Andover Newton and CRCDS are both accredited by the Association of Theological Schools."

MLC students do not have or need gaydar. They are trained to know all manner of things that no mortal man can know. They KNOW!

In what way does this post "go too far"?

Hopefully no one uses the reason that MLC cares about gay and lesbian people. If they had even a shred of concern over the affect their homosexual affirming video had on the 86,000+ individuals who viewed it they would publish (using a medium and method at least equal to YouTube which it was first distributed) a retraction and clarification of doctrine statement or video.

Lack of such a retraction and clarfication makes their doctrine an ugly sham.

I retract, "Lack of such a retraction and clarification makes their doctrine an ugly sham." and with to replace it with, "Lack of such a retraction and clarification makes their claim that they will do anything to reach the lost for Christ an ugly lie."

Hey Pastor! This is the "real WELS church lady". The comments from 7:05pm were a prank.(MLC student perhaps) Prankster was unaware of the fact that Dr. Jackson knows my real name and personal information that he does not share on the blog.

My son's teacher graduated from MLC. His school principal and family-friends all attended the fine institution. Pastor GJ has admitted to liking MLC. Confessionals do not want to see a viable school loose its identity.

A word to you students: help us get back to Orthodox Lutheranism. Study the Scriptures and the BOC. Do you want to be another Kelm or Jeske?(didn't think so) Study Justification, ask questions, and stay away from church growth gurus. Preside over Bible classes, visit the sick, and do not loot the Synod. And to the women I say, "Teach the child in the way he should go". You have to be an example or your students will think everything is permissable.

In Christ,

P.S. GJ will always know me by my bad spelling and punctuation.

How has Professor "gone too far"?

Now you see why I call you an ass. Don't you hurt yourself when you stoop this low? You cancel out what wisdom might be mixed in with the lies.

For the real WELS church Lady:

Thank you.

That was the nicest and most encouraging thing I've seen written on this blog.

You should have been really mad that some one used your signature. That was a really low thing to do. You could have said "What do you expect? Deceit is taught at those colleges. What a typical CG thing to do!" But you didn't and I really appreciate that you didn't apply one sly snake's actions to the whole college.

Believe it or not, there really are students at MLC who study. There really are students who are confessional. Not everyone would defend "Parody in the MLC."

Thank you for your words of encouragement, WELS church lady.

Gob bless.

Yikes. I even missed that while proofreading. I meant--
