Also, we reject and condemn the error of the Enthusiasts, who imagine that God without means, without the hearing of God's Word, also without the use of the holy Sacraments, draws men to Himself, and enlightens, justifies, and saves them.

I am hanging in WAITING FOR MODERATION hell over on the Steadfast blog. I left two comments on Mr. Jim Pierce’ article promoting Universal Objective Justification. Hopefully they will post but I will post here also for those who don’t visit the site. The article received rave reviews and made many assertions but these statements caught my eye. They are classic UOJ speak.
Mr. Pierce, I believe the following Scripture verses teach contrary to the statements that you made in your article – quoted below. Would you explain why you made the following statements?
“When we use the term “atonement,” stressing that God, for Christ’s sake, doesn’t hold the sins of mankind against it”
John 3:36, “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”
John 3:18, “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotton Son of God.”
“Now, the promise of God, “for the forgiveness of sins” (Mat 26:28), is attached to the sacrament and not to the individual’s disposition towards it. In other words, the forgiveness of sins is there with the body and blood of Christ whether you or I believe it, or not.”
1 Corinthians 11:29, “For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily (BM-without faith in Christ), eateth and drinketh damnation unto himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.” The individuals disposition (receiving in faith or without faith in Christ) does indeed indicate what is received – Faith: the forgiveness of sins. No Faith: damnation.
“The Law condemns the whole world (saint and sinner alike) and, because of Christ and what He did, the Law now has no hold on the whole world”
Romans 8:1, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” Those who have the Holy Spirit’s faith in Christ alone (saints) are not condemned by the Law.
Romans 10:4, “For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.” So the end of the law is only for those who have faith in Christ – unbelievers remain under the Law and dead in sins.
“That is, the record of debt against the world, with all its legal demands, has been blotted out (Col 2:14), the sins of the world absolved, and this pardon is now freely offered to all in the Word and Sacraments.”
John 8:24, “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am He, ye shall die in your sins.” Clearly the unbelieving world’s sins have not been absolved – have not been forgiven.

GJ - Pastor Scheer said I was not blocked - I was moderated (without being told, of course). Someone has to give me a link before I will bother to look at that tedious site. It's like reading freshman essays in Writing 101. There are exceptions, of course, but I am not going to dig up my yard because diamonds have been found in Arkansas.
Steadfast Kilcreasing is not a discussion site, because they cannot bear to have justification by faith taught. They are following the lead of their founder, Bishop Stephan, STD. Anyone is free to pay homage to them, bow before them, kiss the bishop's ring, and swear obedience. The rest are "morons" to quote Pastor Tim Russow.

Well, Brett's comments made it through. Pastor Scheer even defended Brett against unknown persons (I'll give you 1 guess) who wanted his comments silenced.
Brett, thanks for your patience in your posts. The "simple" Word of God showed the errors of Mr. Pierce's verbose statements. Anyone with the Holy Spirit's faith can clearly discern God's Word.
Alas, a response to the substance of your comment will not be forthcoming:

Continue to fight the good fight, Brett.
