| Ski, Glende, and two staffers took a church member to court -for telling the truth about Ski's abusive behavior.The judge laughed them out of court for complaining about "a blog in Arkansas." Ski knows all about courts - he posted an appearance bond in Milwaukee. What was that about? Ski was turned down for CRM status. GJ - Poor Joel. I knew that - and I assumed one of you would correct the statement in that typical humorless, patronizing WELS way. I copied Ski's famous Scrotum Sermon, preached at a Gausewitz parish. And they kept that in print for many months after I posted it verbatim.
But thank you for reading the post and emphasizing my point that the apostates in WELS - especially the leaders - have no shame at all.
Someone from your circuit responded by saying, "Greg, Ski really should thank you."
Let me explain. Ski was able to play the victim card, since his shortcomings were so visible on this blog. But he is a typical crude, alcoholic, loutish, narcissistic WELS pastor. Nothing I published seemed a problem for any of you - plagiarism, false doctrine, drinking on the job, offensive porno-remarks. So he became a martyr you could all support - and you did.

"I'm fascinated by the things that fascinate you. Circuits were redrawn synod-wide to make them smaller and to increase contact between called ministers and their circuit pastors. In our area, there was an effort to pair up congregations that had more in common with each other. Circuits that were a mix between larger "urban" congregations and smaller rural congregations were broken up and the new circuits were either all "urban" or all rural. I know you think there was an evil plot to remove Ski's circuit pastor who was on the verge of showing him what for and to replace him with one who would be more approving of his methods so his rampaging ways could remain unchecked and so anarchy could reign supreme. Nope, it was just a matter of simple demographics at work."
GJ - No one doubts the sincerity of your delusions, Joel. Everything on this blog shocks and appalls you, but paying a pastor to -
- drink on the job,
- verbally abuse women,
- show a nude male picture,
- take a member to court,
- excommunicate a member for telling the truth,
- and plagiarize false teachers - does not faze you at all.
The trouble is, Joel, there are few jobs where they reward a pastor handsomely to do so little worthwhile work. Sure, it is fine for a worship professor or a District President - or even for a missionary to the Ukraine. But ordinary pastors do not have those perks.
It is not fair to raise the expectations of the graduating class at the Sausage Factory, unless they are certified thralls of Jeske, Kelm, and Groeschel.

Joe... I'm not speaking for Greg or against him. As for me, I don't believe the concern has much to do with Ski at all. It could be Ski, it could be Wii or it could be Gigi. As I see it Joe Joe, it is more of a concern about the ability for Ski like churches to now have even less oversight and run a muck. Ski ran a member out for telling the truth about Ski and Ski's alliance took another member to court??????? Ski used church discipline not to correct, but to exercise power and control. Why are you hitting the snooze on the alarm clock.
Ski shouldn't be a minister at all anymore. Trying to rub it in Greg's face is nothing. Ski would be fine as a repentant layman but that would require repentance and that isn't what his alliance will let happen. God doesn't need Ski. So why is this guy even getting another call? Because the other side needs him. Wake up Joe!

I've noticed the hypocrisy of the WELS for a long time. They will blast the JW's for faithfulness to watchtower yet require the same blind devotion to Synod.
