More Progress in Publishing The Sermons of Martin Luther
World Missions and Luther's Writing

A glitch for every volume, but fun to publish.

Volume IV is completed in color - but the black and white has been delayed by a sudden urge by Amazon to use a different cover on the volume. Before we just printed them in color or black/white, but now they want a distinction. OK - that happened when our finishing editor needed an operation.

Volume V is completed and ready for preparation for publishing (finishing editor's work) but we are awaiting one photo.

Volume VI is already being edited because our tenacious typo editor plunged into it on her own. We are now on the Epistles, three volumes: VI, VII, and VIII.

After that, we will gather all the Gems from Luther's Sermons and publish them in full color.

Our highly educated First World does not appreciate
Luther or the Scriptures.
The Third World is hungry for the Gospel.

Not a Money-Maker, But a Luther Promoter
As people know, we are not publishing books to make money. Recently, quite a few were given away here in Springdale, from Creation Gardening to the Gospel of John, plus Catholic, Lutheran, Protestant.

All the "conservative" Lutherans have banned and shunned Luther's doctrine, so they are loathe to distribute Lutheran books. That is especially true of Christian News, where the editor brags about selling a slanderous Roman Catholic book of lies about Luther, The Truth (sic) about Luther. Otten:

  1. "We sell to both sides of the issue."
  2. "We have always sold The Truth (sic) about Luther."

World Missions
We have an opportunity to send books to various seminaries supporting future pastors in what is called the Third World, first in Africa, perhaps in other lands as well.

These seminaries have a definite lack of books and not much support for fixing that problem. We take everything for granted here. I can get on used book sites and get classic Lutheran books for $1 plus shipping, sometimes signed by famous people who owned them.

I am working on the practical details with several people. It should work out like this - with modifications where needed -
  1. We will have a specific fund for printing books at the author's cost (no profit). Bethany Lutheran Church already has an IRS tax number, a church corporation, and a bank account for such purposes.
  2. The books will be sent to a Lutheran missionary who knows the world mission situation and the seminaries' needs.
  3. The books will be sent economically to those seminaries in need of books.
  4. I am sending samples of current publications to the missionary, who lives in the US.
  5. We are starting small to get the logistics right.
  6. I am giving the seminaries permission to translate all my books without any fees.
The first four volumes of Luther's Sermons (8 in the original printing) sell for $80 used. We can print them for $40 for 8 volumes.
