GJ - The question is: How many items were copied from false teachers?
Paul Calvin Kelm was promoted for teaching FUEL, but that was dropped. Out of gas?
The CORE also promoted The Living Last Supper on their website, urging people to attend this event.

Brief research shows that it's put on by an ecumenical group pulling in performers from Catholic schools etc. During the performance there's an opportunity in the play to have the performers distribute Communion to those attending. Would be interesting to know if they will do so and if the Core will participate. Kinda wishing I lived closer to Appleton so I could witness some of this stuff first hand. Like watching a dead gold fish circle the bowl as a kid."

GJ - That comment above is so far off. WELS would ban The CORE only if they recommended reading the Confessions, studying Luther, and sending kitteh art to Ichabod.

GJ - As long as the Roman Catholics serving communion are not women. Oh wait, I forgot. That is OK in WELS, commended in WELS. There is just a moratorium on women priests in WELS, until people are mature enough to accept it.

But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, EVEN DENYING THE SOVEREIGN LORD WHO BOUGHT THEM (rejection of UOJ, for example)—bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. IN THEIR GREED THESE TEACHERS WILL EXPLOIT YOU WITH STORIES THEY HAVE MADE UP. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.
Also, if justification isn't universal and objective, then why would verse 1 say "Lord who bought them" concerning the false prophets? These prophets don't have faith, yet the Lord bought them. Faith is a receiving instrument of justification, but everyone is justified.
To defend the Satanic programs at The CORE, Hockey Forward talks up the Pietistic Universalism of UOJ, an apparent non sequitur but actually consistent with WELS clergy brain-washing. The passage cited concerns redemption, the Atonement, not the mythical universal absolution of the world's sins, as taught by such UOJ fanatics as Walther, F. Pieper, J. P. Meyer, Wayne Mueller, S. Becker, and John Brenner. The comment is consistent because the UOJ fans are legalistic yet Antinomian, hedonistic yet sanctimonious.
Galatians 2:16, "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified."
Hockeyfwd32, Scripture doesn't declare anyone forgiven except by faith in Christ. Scripture doesn't declare anyone justified except by faith in Christ. Scripture doesn't declare anyone righteous except by faith in Christ.
Justification is in Christ and never apart from Him. By your doctrine of UOJ you have distributed Christ's body and blood to the whole unbelieving world while they remain alive to sin and continue to be enemies of God. You blaspheme Christ by your doctrine which says that Christ is in the entire unbelieving world, for how else could their sins be forgiven unless they were washed in His blood and He were in them and them in Him. You compound that blasphemy by not only declaring that Christ's atonement is the declaration that the whole world is forgiven of all sin but that Christ's atonement wasn't complete, that He didn't pay for the sin of unbelief which everyone is guilty of. Instead of the glorious comfort UOJists say their doctrine provides it, in fact, removes all comfort by saying that God can be both at peace with a man having washed him in Christ's blood and that God's wrath abides on him over his sin. UOJ makes God a liar and Christ's sacrifice insufficient.
You state, "Faith is a receiving instrument of justification, but everyone is justified." Christ declares in Romans 8:30, "Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified." By your false doctrine you have Christ glorifying the whole unbelieving world - those in Hell also as the WELS Kokomo statements clearly declare and WELS theologian Siegbert W. Becker so wickedly confirmed.
You have no foundation for UOJ. It is an abomination on all fronts and to confess it is to deny Christ and the righteousness God the Father brings to men through faith, by grace, in His atonement.

You got the wrong masthead on the magazine. It should be Playgirl, since the lady actor is not Playboy material, but Ski is Playgirl material. She wanted to be seen with him, not the other way around.

2 Peter 2:1-3 is passage that says Jesus died sinners including false teachers but that passage does not say that all are justified. Atonement or Redemption is the buying back,
it is not the justification of those who have been bought, for justification is always connected with faith.
