Book Review - Corsi's Where's the Birth Certificate?
Book Review
Where’s the Birth Certificate: The Case That Barack Obama Is Not Eligible To Be President
Jerome R. Corsi, PhD
WND Books, 2011. 392 pages. Indexed.
ISBN #978-1-936488-29-2
Jerome Corsi earned a PhD in political science from Harvard, so he is familiar with thorough research. This book offers a wealth of detail and never puts theory ahead of fact. Many basic details of Obama’s life remain a mystery, because so much of his history has been scrubbed.
Corsi also put together the Swift Boat book, Unfit for Command, which helped doom the John Kerry run for president.
Just as this book was coming out, Obama released a long-form birth certificate, after fighting that action in the courts for several years. Many have good reason for suspecting the released form is a forgery, but it proves a useful anchor in the Obama timeline. The birth certificate also proves that Obama is not natural born and therefore ineligible to be president.
Natural born is not the same as born in America. Obama’s putative father was a British citizen and his mother was too young to fit into an American law that would sidestep the paternal problem. Obama Senior was a British citizen when Barry was born, so Barry began with dual citizenship.
Little attention has been focused on Obama being an Indonesian citizen when he was a student in that Muslim country. Coming back to Hawaii means that he had to be naturalized. Many would like to know if Barry Sotoero, as he was known at Occidental, came as a foreign student. They would also like to know what passport he traveled on, since he spent time in Pakistan, a fact revealed late in the campaign.
Who Is My Daddy?
Nothing is quite so mysterious about Barry as his paternity. Some have doubted who his mother is, too. Here are some theories:
1. The official record has an African, Barack Obama Senior, meeting and marrying Stanley Ann Dunham, later divorcing after he left for Harvard. However, no one remembers seeing them together. They were never listed at the same address. There is no marriage record. In the Hawaiian newspaper stories, Obama Senior is written up as if he has no family.
2. One far-fetched theory has Ann’s father getting a Black woman pregnant, which accounts for Ann’s lack of maternal affection for Barry.
3. Another theory has Communist Frank Marshal Davis fathering Barry with Ann, due to the poem “Pops” and other evidence, such as the photographs of Ann on the Net.
4. A fourth theory has Jimmie Hendrix fathering Barry with Ann in Seattle, where Hendrix was known as a musician. This theory is based on her exclusive dating of Black men in Seattle, her immediate return to Seattle after Barry’s birth, and Barry’s enigmatic reference to Hendrix. Ann’s friends have been told not to talk to anyone about her.
In my spare time I have look over the theories. Timelines are really important in solving puzzles like this. There is only one possible truth. A particular man fathered the president at a particular time and place. When Barry’s birth is anchored to that birth certificate, all related facts should fit, more or less.
For example, I was born at Moline Lutheran Hospital, which no longer exists. I have a token or short form of my birth certificate and have to order the long form to get my Arkansas driver’s license. I know who delivered me and where, on what date and time. I even have a birth announcement showing my brother and sister. There are no stories about me being born at Moline Public Hospital, which was next door to Moline Lutheran. There are no stories about me being born in Canada or Africa or Germany. Family pictures show me with both parents, even before birth.
One photo shows my mother with my older brother and sister. My father’s shadow appears, since he took the photo. From the age of my siblings I can tell I was on the way. Wharton Field House is in the background, and it is clearly our front yard, the only home we had in Moline (although there was a Dairy Queen in Massachusetts, where I also appeared, gnoshing on a cone). Needless to say, there are tons of family photos. I also have grade school report cards (talks too much) and class photos at Garfield. Two of my neighbors, I am sure, can recall our neighborhood soirĂ©es, which were filmed by my parents and even appeared in the Moline Daily Dispatch.
Contradictions with Barry
Contrast my mundane but happy childhood with the president’s. Obama Senior was never listed as the same address as Ann. The only address given for Ann was at her parents’ home in Hawaii, although she and Barry soon went to Seattle. One woman remembers baby-sitting Barry when his mother was in night classes.
The Dunham family left Seattle suddenly and moved to Hawaii. Ann moved back to Seattle soon after the birth, a fact left out of all accounts of Barry’s childhood, when he was campaigning.
The story of an unlikely love uniting Barry’s parents, only to be torn apart by a Harvard scholarship, is simply not true. Apart from a photo 10 years later, of Obama Senior uneasily holding an eager Barry, there is no connection.
No one saw Obama Senior and Ann together – ever. No one remembers them as a couple. Barry offers no detail about their alleged marriage. The alleged divorce is just as hazy, doubtless invented to make Barry appear legitimate.
Obama Senior was a celebrity in Hawaii (p. 128) – the first African to study at the University of Hawaii. Yet no newspaper account mentions him marrying Ann and having a baby boy. He left Hawaii for Harvard in June of 1962. Ann did not return to Hawaii from Seattle until after that time (p. 136). Therefore, it is a myth that Harvard broke up the family with a scholarship too thin to support them all.
Was Barry Born in Africa?
I find it unlikely than a teen-aged mother flew to Africa to see the alleged father of her baby, giving birth to Barry there. We have specific dates for her studies in Hawaii, which she abandoned, and her night classes in Seattle, which she definitely had Barry with her. Perhaps the actual date of Barry’s birth is not the one published, but they are sticking to that story – August 4, 1961.
Nevertheless, there is a persistent base of stories linking the president’s birth to Kenya.
A soldier based in Hawaii remembers talking to Barry about Kenya, his desire to be president, and his birth in Mombassa. His has gone on record about those recollections, which by themselves do not carry much weight. I do not think Corsi dealt with this account.
Barry’s grandmother in Africa said he was born in Kenya in an interview. She then changed her story and said Hawaii.
There are many published stories about Barry being born in Kenya. Although it is easy to Photoshop a story, there are too many accounts to reject them all. Corsi has screen captures of the evidence. (pp. 83ff) Kenyan politicians celebrated that one of their own was US president.
Kenyan stories tend to be scrubbed away from the Net. Equally troublesome are the two different Hawaiian hospitals where Barry was born, two different doctors who delivered him. One family began celebrating that their late patriarch delivered the president, something they did not know until the long form was released. I find that unlikely.
Fraudulent Social Security Number
Social Security numbers are issued in the state where someone lives, yet the president has a Connecticut number. He never lived in Connecticut. It is against the law to assume the SS number of another person, yet this appears to have happened with Barry.
The Original Birthers
The Democrats made an enormous issue out of Senator McCain being born in the Panama Canal Zone, American territory, the son of two American citizens. McCain’s father was a military officer. Nevertheless, the Democrats pursued this story in the newspapers, in blogs, and in court.
I wonder if this was a clever smoke-screen, since the resolution was a Congressional statement acknowledging McCain as qualified. Oddly, the Republicans never dealt with Obama in the same way.
The Birth Certificate Excludes Obama as Natural Born
Assuming Obama Senior is the father of Barry, the president is not natural born. His father was a British citizen, so he is excluded according to the 14th Amendment (p. 50).
Moreover, as a citizen of Indonesia, he had to be naturalized when he came back to America, if he bothered at all. The passport information that would have revealed a lot has been destroyed.
The president was known as Barry Soetoro at Occidental. That was his Indonesian father’s last name. State Department documents show a third last name as well, another new mystery.
Corsi shows that Ann’s remaining passport document shows her removing Barry from her American passport with the assumption that he will have his own Indonesian passport. She may have wanted to emphasize his Indonesian citizenship at that point.
Names Matter
When I apply for a life insurance license, I have to reveal whether I have ever worked under another name. That is true for every state. Barry has been asked the same thing when applying for a law license or running for president. Yet he says he has always had the same name.
Obama has also denied being Muslim, but both putative fathers were Muslim. No Muslim father is going to have a non-affiliated son. Besides, Barry was clearly Muslim in Indonesia. His impromptu responses (my Muslim faith, traveling the 57 states, the Muslim prayer being the sweetest sound) point to one religion only. His scripted remarks try to make him Christian. Few are convinced.
Everything about Obama is false - from his Communist mentor in Hawaii (Frank Marshal Davis) to his crooked friends in Chicago, and his bomber pals in politics (Ayres).
Corsi’s book is a careful evaluation of the facts we know at this point. More books will be published on this topic, and I hope Corsi does a follow up.
Official Denial from WELS - The NNIV Will Not Be Canonical Until the Convention Rubber-stamps It
Pope John the Malefactor looks on gleefully.
Milwaukee Journal:
An article Sunday about the revised New International Version of the Bible incorrectly stated that the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod has concluded that version remains the best translation for use in its publications. The synod's translation review committee will recommend that position at the synod's annual convention this year, but the synod has not yet made a decision.
***
GJ - Let us wake up to this fact - that WELS will make this translation a fellowship issue, gladly driving out any pastors who object, just as they did with the old, Reformed leaden NIV.
This version is far, far worse. If the Wisconsin sheep cannot stand up to this apostasy, forget it. Simple adopting this NNIV will mean that the historical reality of Adam and Eve will be debatable in all official publications. The sacraments were expelled from the old NIV, and various instructors admitted that the translation itself was just plain bad, wrong, erroneous.
But this one is agenda driven, just like Church and Change. The feminazis add words that were never there in the text, such as "if your brother or sister offends you."
Either Schroeder and some pastors with spine will start fighting the Changers, or WELS will go down quicker than the Titanic. So far, only one side is fighting and winning - the Changers.

The Church of England in Tatters over Poofters
The Archbishop of Canterbury's Anger and Angst
News Analysis
By David W. Virtue

May 30, 2011
The Archbishop of Canterbury lost his serenity, recently, or, as we would say in the US, he lost his cool. The frightening thing is that academics and poets like Rowan Williams are not supposed to lose their composure in discussion; rather they are supposed to "reason together" until all parties find a way forward to compromise or, in the case of Dr. Williams, an Hegelian syntheses.
The besetting issue was who would be the next Bishop of Southwark, vacated late last year by retired Bishop Tom Butler. Rowan's personal friend, Dean Jeffrey John was on the short list. John is openly gay living an allegedly celibate relationship with his long-term married partner and, therefore, not deemed eligible by Williams. (Are they still on speaking terms?)
According to a leaked memo from the now deceased Dean of Southwark, Colin Slee, a first class row broke open. A verbal donnybrook ensued between the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Archbishop of York, John Sentamu on one side, and the crown nomination committee on the other. It was downright ugly and nasty, according to the memo leaked to the Guardian newspaper.
Slee described Williams as shouting and losing his temper, which left several members of the crown nomination committee, responsible for the selection of bishops, in tears. IN TEARS from the meek and mild scholarly Rowan of the Poetic Force...
Slee also charged the church with hypocrisy, stating that there are several gay bishops "who have been less than candid about their domestic arrangements and who, in a conspiracy of silence, have been appointed to senior positions". The memo warns, "This situation cannot endure. Exposure of the reality would be nuclear."
Slee described the meeting, "We had two very horrible days in which I would say both archbishops behaved very badly. The meeting was not a fair consideration at all; they were intent on wrecking both Jeffrey John and Nick Holtam rector of St Martin-in-the-Fields in central London, whose wife was divorced many years ago." Eventually Christopher Chessun, then an assistant bishop, was chosen.
Can you even imagine a discussion like this happening in the largest most dynamically evangelical Anglican Province of Nigeria or Uganda or Kenya or Rwanda or even in Southeast Asia or the Middle East? Would they even entertain the possibility of considering an openly homosexual Dean, who has lived a past life in homosexual sin, as a bishop?
We should not forget that early in his occupation of the See of Canterbury, Rowan persuaded Jeffrey John (apparently on bended knee) not to accept the bishopric of Reading in order to placate what he knew would be outrage and anger from the Global South if an openly gay man was elected bishop.
A VOL reader in England wrote at that time that then Bishop of Oxford Richard Harries said he would counter any opposition to Jeffery John becoming Bishop of Reading. Williams was not prepared to take such a risk. John was persuaded to step down to cries of outrage from the gay community.
Of the present situation in Southwark, he commented, "The speed with which opposition to the nomination gathered suggests to me that it had been started by somebody who knew of the nomination before it was officially announced. In the current circumstances I think it was wise of ++Rowan to seek expert legal advice before attending the Crown Nominations Commission meeting so he was better briefed to chair the meeting. Far from being reprehensible and duplicitous I regard this action as being prudent." Fair enough.
Be that as it may, when Williams was confronted with the possibility of a gay man and or a man married to a divorcee, he opted against both, chosing a harmless third party (Chessun) whose resume, according to those in the know, was not nearly up to the level of the other two candidates. One newspaper ran the headline: Church of England tied in knots over allowing gay men to become bishops. The story went on to describe the leaders' shouting matches and Williams as "bad tempered". Politicians are allowed to shout at each other in Parliament where they can be as bad tempered as they like, but leading representatives of Christ on earth, in this case the leader of the Church of England and All Anglicanism loses it and people start crying. My God. What is the church coming too?
The odd thing is that Rowan Williams as leader loves to play mediator when he is negotiating the differences over sodomy between archbishops at primatial gatherings while moving solicitously between two rooms where each party sit trying to find some mythical middle ground. He never found it. Once in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, at a Primates' Meeting in closed session, he raised his voice and bullied the Anglican primates, trying to get his way. "I think all of them were shocked at his force and directness, and his willingness to confront them face-to-face individually," wrote Bishop David Anderson at the AAC blog. "Certainly, if one of the other Primates used such tactics to bully others, Dr. Williams would adjust his beard and call them on it (very bad show.). When it is Dr. Williams doing the intimidating, well, that is entirely different."
As a result of his inability to find a third way, middle ground, via media or Hegelian synthesis, we have, in effect, two communions, though few seem to recognize that fact. Will the new GAFCON/FCA office be a stone's throw from Lambeth Palace? Will the occupant of that office (apparently it is not going to be CANA Bishop Martyn Minns) invite Rowan over for tea and crumpets to chat about the state of things? Don't hold your breath.
So why was Williams so upset?
Here are some other possible answers.
1. Williams is mindful of the Windsor Report which put the blame squarely on ECUSA and New Westminster for breaching the bonds of Communion in the consecration of Gene Robinson and the move to local option on same-sex blessings. It calls for a moratorium, but offers no sanctions, beyond non-invitation, to those who do not comply with the moratorium.
2. Williams is mindful of Lambeth Conference 1998 Lambeth 1:10 and the consequences of violating what the vast majority of bishops voted - that marriage was sacred and between a man and a woman.
3. Williams did not want a memo or press release from Nigerian Archbishop Nicholas Okoh or Henry Luke Orombi of Uganda reminding him that an action making John the next Bishop of Southwark would be a clear violation of the Covenant and that he would be subject to disciplinary section 4 of that Covenant.
Not surprisingly, when news of the memo broke, the Church of England's gay lobby went wild. Williams immediately got push back from (the Rev.) Colin Coward of Changing Attitude, the Church of England's leading homosexual activist (he recently married his black African lover), accusing the HOB of cowardice, collusion, dishonesty, ignorance and stupidity over whether gay clergy should be chosen for promotion to bishoprics. He went on to accuse Williams of "utter dishonesty and false secrecy".
Then Coward launched into a revelation of his own. He continued, "I could name a number of bishops who are gay, including several appointed in the last 12 months. I'm sitting here this morning wondering whether I should, knowing that to do so is not in accord with my Christian ethos."
The nuclear button has been hit. The integrity and fidelity to God of every member of the House of Bishops and especially of both Archbishops, is now on the line, he wrote.
Coward made similar charges in 2009 in Alexandria, Egypt, when he told reporters that he knew of two Primates who were homosexuals. When challenged to name them by Dr. Chris Sugden and me, he got testy and refused to do so. This seems to be a standard strategy that Coward applies. He makes accusations. When asked to show and tell, he refuses.
Coward is not above blaming evangelicals for Williams' prevarications. "The hierarchy of the Church of England are corrupting Christian truth and faith and integrity by allowing themselves to be manipulated and controlled by conservative evangelical and catholic forces and opinions which, the longer they are not confronted, will tear the Anglican Communion apart, not over gay clergy, but because lives are being destroyed for the sake of false belief."
This is a huge lie. It is Coward and the Church of England's homosexuals (and TEC's) along with their refusal to be obedient to scripture that is destroying the Anglican Communion. It is why GAFCON/FCA exists. It is why there is a Jerusalem Declaration and why a Covenant will not hold the Anglican Communion together. It is why Primates of the Global South will never sit down again with Katharine Jefferts Schori or attend another Primates meeting. They will never be seen in the same room with her. The only time they will be seen on US soil is to announce the date for the next GAFCON meeting in Jerusalem or to converse with ACNA Archbishop Robert Duncan.
To all intents and purposes, the communion, as we now know it, is over. The Southwark situation is just a sideshow to the Church of England's growing call for inclusivity and diversity and the ultimate acceptance of sexual sin and a further distancing of itself from the Global South and the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Constance Parvey, pioneer, ELCA pastor, ecumenical leader, dies
CHICAGO (ELCA) -- The Rev. Dr. Constance F. Parvey, a retired pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and one of the first women ordained in the Lutheran Church in North America, died May 21 at her home in Cambridge, Mass. after an illness.
Parvey, 80, was also one of the first women admitted to the Harvard Divinity School, Cambridge. She authored a well-known 1983 report on the ordination of women, "The Community of Women and Men in the Church: The Sheffield Report," for the World Council of Churches.
A service of thanksgiving for Parvey's life is planned for June 28 at University Lutheran Church, Cambridge.
The Rev. Jessica R. Crist, bishop of the ELCA Montana Synod, Great Falls, said Parvey was a mentor, colleague and friend. "Connie Parvey was an extraordinary woman whose life touched the lives of many. For many people she was the first ordained woman they had ever seen or heard. She set a gold standard for those who followed," Crist said.
Crist herself attended Harvard Divinity School beginning in 1975, while Parvey was at University Lutheran Church and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Crist spent two years working with her in the ecumenical campus ministry and followed Parvey into the ordained ministry.
"Connie was a dedicated Lutheran theologian with a heart for ecumenism. Throughout her life she refused to be put into a box," she said.
Parvey was one of the few role models for female seminarians in the 1970s, said her bishop, the Rev. Margaret G. Payne of the ELCA New England Synod, Worcester, Mass. "I was one of them, and when other people were telling me that women couldn't be pastors, Connie assured me personally, and in no uncertain terms, that they were wrong," she said.
Parvey's love for the church, courage and passion for embodying the gospel continued through her life, she added.
The Rev. Joanne E. Engquist, pastor of University Lutheran Church, had known Parvey since 1989. Parvey should also be remembered for her work with college students, she said.
"Connie's legacy is at least as important in campus ministry as it was with the wider ministry of the church," Engquist said. "Her commitment to young adults and the bringing together of academic rigor and deep passionate search for faith and trust in God really became for me more central."
Parvey was born in Aberdeen, S.D. She earned a bachelor's degree in sociology and psychology from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, and a Bachelor of Divinity degree in 1963 from Harvard Divinity School. The University of the Redlands (Calif.) awarded her an honorary doctorate in 1977.
Parvey worked in many roles after Harvard Divinity School. She was on the Lutheran campus ministry staff at the University of Wisconsin, Madison; executive producer of a series of television programs on urban life in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minn., editor of the Harvard Divinity Bulletin; consultant; researcher and writer on ethical and moral issues; and a research associate with the Harvard Divinity School.
Parvey was ordained in 1972 by the Lutheran Church in America, an ELCA predecessor church body. She served five years as associate pastor at University Lutheran Church and Lutheran chaplain at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 1978 she began work with the World Council of Churches, Geneva, Switzerland.
Parvey was professor of religion at Bryn Mawr (Pa.) College and pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Jericho, Vt. She returned as chaplain for the Lutheran-Episcopal ministry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1996 until she retired in 2001.

GJ - WELS FICKLE magazine has an all-woman staff. The Wisconsin sect is now organizing women's ministry conferences, with the blessing of SP Schroeder. WELS has several women pastors, not ordained yet, because "WELS isn't ready for it yet," as Brug says.
Yale Divinity had a thick, boring issue of their alumni magazine out today. The entire issue was devoted to women's ministry and loaded with pretentious articles by women about themselves. To be fair, two eunuchs opened and closed the issue with their brief manly comments, like parentheses.

My Photoshop Is Painfully Close to the Truth:
Jeske Is New Age, Not Lutheran
I do not see anything amiss with WELS, Missouri, and the Little Sect overtly doing what they have been doing covertly for decades - working together. They teach the same false doctrine from Schuller, Fuller, Peale, Cho, and Driscoll.
Fuller began as a non-Confessional and mildly conservative seminary for Evangelical. The school quickly became Barthian, Pentecostal, and Growthy. Recently a Fuller faculty member has endorsed Bell's atheistic book. Bell has a big church and graduated from Fuller, so he is OK with many.
Meanwhile, Mark and Avoid Jeske represents the same occultic and Enthusiastic doctrine as Cho.
Readers now have enough statements, sound doctrine and toxic teaching, to connect the dots in their so-called Lutheran sect. Read the posts below and compare them to what has been happening, without correction, for the last few decades.
People like wolf-preaching, so they prefer hirelings and wolves rather than shepherds.

From the Church and Change websty, which is still operating, of course:
History of Church and Change
In 1995, a group of about 10-12 men gathered at Wisconsin Lutheran College to discuss current methods of sharing Jesus which were commonly being used in the WELS at that time. Many at the first meeting felt that those methods of sharing Jesus were not “keeping up with” the rate of change in society. The message of the Bible was not, therefore, penetrating society very well.
In 1998 two men who had attended the first meeting planned a Church and Change conference in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The next year there was a second conference in Green Bay. About 20 people attended each year.
In May 2001, WELS Perish Services applied for and received a Forward in Christ grant to conduct a three-year pilot program to address the issues surfaced by the previous two Church and Change conferences. The three-year pilot program was designed to be a grassroots gathering of individuals who were pioneering new innovative methods of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with a changing culture.

"In some parts of Asia, people still worship their ancestors. Christianity cannot be accepted by many because it does not teach what the position of one's ancestors are I then shared how the Bible taught us to honor our parents. This did not mean to worship them but to simply hold them in high esteem. God did not want only to honor them while they are still alive, so we could assume that it was not a sin to honor them even after they had passed on to glory. Abraham was still held in high esteem as the father of faith. This gave the spy the ammunition he was looking for. He publicly accused me of being a false teacher and teaching idolatry."

"After praying for him, I taught him the principle of visions and dreams. I said, 'Go back to your bakery, Mr. Ho. Begin to see its success. Start to count the money in the empty cash register and look at all of the people lining up outside to get into your crowded store.' Dr. Paul Y. Cho (with R. "Set Realistic Goals Let us take a pastor who has a congregation of three hundred members. Set a definite goal of one thousand. Place that goal before the Father and begin to dwell on that goal. Become obsessed with the idea of one thousand members. When you preach on Sunday, see one thousand members in front of you. When you have done that, you are ready to start planning."
Dr. Paul Y. Cho (with R. Whitney Manzano), More Than Numbers, Waco: Word Books, 1984, p. 111.
"I then said, 'Lord, do you really want me to pray in definite terms?' This time the Lord led me to turn to Hebrews, the eleventh chapter: 'Faith is the substance of things,' clear-cut things, 'hoped for.' I knelt down again and said, 'Father, I'm sorry I made a great mistake, and I misunderstood you. I cancel all my past prayers. I'll start all over again....' I was praising the Lord, and sure enough, when the time came, I had every one of those things. I had exactly all the things I had asked for - a desk made out of Philippine mahogany; a chair made by the Japanese Mitsubishi Company, with rollers on the tips so that I could roll around when I sat on it; and a slightly used bicycle, with gears on the side, from an American missionary's son."

[When Cho did not get a table, a chair, or a bicycle he had been praying for]: "'Yes,' God said, 'I have given them to you potentially. But you have been asking them of me in such vague terms that I cannot fulfill your request. Don't you know there are a dozen kinds of tables, a dozen kinds of chairs and a dozen kinds of bicycles? Which ones do you want? Be very clear. I have so much trouble with my children, because they keep asking me and asking me and asking me, yet they themselves do not know what kind of thing they want. Make your request very specific, and then I'll answer."
Dr. Paul Yonggi Cho with Harold Hostetler, Successful Home Cell Groups, Plainfield, NJ: Logos International, 1981, p. 163f.
"Today I know that the capacity for God's answer depends on the size of the pipe in which we give Him the opportunity to work. If the size of my pipe is small, the blessings are only going to trickle down; but if through faith I have increased the size of that pipe, the blessings will pour down."

"So I set a very clear goal of 150 members, and I wrote it down on a paper and put it up on my wall...I began to eat with 150. I slept with the number 150 in my dreams. I was living with 150 members in my heart...."

"The second of these principles is dreaming. You have to have a goal, yes. But if you don't dream, you will never reach that goal. A dream (or vision) is the basic material the Holy Spirit uses to build anything for you. The Bible says, 'Where there is no vision, the people perish' (Proverbs 29:18). When you don't have a vision, you don't produce anything."

(exclamation marks in the original) When you actually see it, you will understand what Dr. Cho has been talking about...and how it really works. "Then I said, 'Close your eyes. Can you see your husband now?' 'Yes, I can see him clearly.' 'Okay. Let's order him how. Until you see your husband clearly in your imagination you can't order, because God will never answer. You must see him clearly before you begin to pray. God never answers vague prayers... Now the way to deal with a sickness, I learned in medical school, is not just to treat the symptom but to get at the root cause. The sickness is a nongrowing church. The root cause is the leadership's lack of vision for the church by failure to fellowship with the Holy Spirit."

"Right now I have a vision of 500,000 members in our local church by the year 1984. I wake up with the vision of these people filling my mind and when I go to bed they are just as real as if I were preaching to them today. At our present rate of growth and with our building program underway, I have no doubt that the vision will become reality in the time period which has been allotted."

"They had a clear-cut goal - to have a son...Eventually God gave them a promise, and when they received the assurance, God immediately changed their names: 'You are no more Abram, but Abraham, the father of many nations'...Abraham protested to God, 'Father, people will laugh at us. We don't even have a puppy in our home, and you mean you want us to change our names to 'father of many nation,' and 'princess'? My, all the people in town will call us crazy."

"An American minister came to my church several years ago to speak. He began by decrying the North Vietnamese and the horrors of the Vietnam War. Although this was a topic of interest to the American Christians, it had little relevance to our Korean members. GJ - I was told to go to Paul Calvin Kelm's evangelism week, when I received the call to Shepherd of Peace in Columbus, Ohio. Floyd Luther Stolzenburg and Roger Zehms, both newly divorced, were also there. They had a Church Growth panel discussion, with David Valleskey speaking, among others. When one of them went into C-gasms about Paul Y. Cho, I challenged them about promoting a known occultic leader kicked out of the Assemblies of God for false doctrine.
Larry Olson, DMin Fuller, wrote later that his buddies smirked at me for that remark. One WELS pastor went to a campus chaplain's meeting where CG materials were passed out and one leader sold Cho books from a case he brought along. Mmm-mmm: that has done wonders for WELS.

Hill, Peale, Schuller, Church Growth and Plagiarism
Napoleon Hill began his career by writing about success. Like Tony Robbins today, he became famous for always talking about his formula for success. The content of success talk is shallow and contradictory, but these coaches repeat the same trite expressions to their gullible customers, whose jaws gape open at such statements as "Leaders have to lead." They applaud wildly when the speakers tell them "You can do anything, as long as you dream or imagine it!" - just as Hill promised.
Florence Scovel Shinn wrote her occultic book on success, and Norman Vincent Peale plagiarized it as The Power of Positive Thinking. Robert Schuller began his Church Growth Movement by inviting Peale to preach for him and spinning the original occultic material as Possibility Thinking.
Here is one article that links the occult to Peale, Schuller, and Rick Warren. The Lutheran Quarterly published the original essay and promptly went out of business. Do not offend The Force, Luke!
Peale stole shamelessly from the unknown Shinn and made a fortune from breaking the law. Schuller followed Peale and Napoleon Hill. Rick Warren followed Schuller and went to Fuller Seminary (like the Missouri and WELS leadership) where occultist Paul Y. Cho was an honored lecturer.
The entire foundation of Church Shrinkage and its spawn - Maggot Church (aka Emergent Church) is demonic, anti-Christian, and appalling.
Does anyone marvel that Kudu Don Patterson is a success coach, using his WELS connections to neglect his parish work and make big bucks for himself?
Pray tell, where are more success coaches found? Answer - in the Kudu Don Patterson odious network, his good ol' boy coven of former (free) vicars. Yes, you poor suckers in WELS - you are paying Holy Word to develop a political network for Patterson's eminent career.
And Patterson pays back his pals in Church and Change. Cornerstone will make a cool $45,000 from Holy Word. Who started Cornerstone? Answer - Ron Roth, RIP, a founder of the Church Shrinker Movement in WELS!
And who else works there at Cornerstone? Answer - Jeff Davis, board member (still listed) of Church and Change. Davis also serves on committees that use synod money to send to his pals - like Don Patterson. His photo is below.
This is getting like a family tree in the hills and hollers of the Deep South. Who else was on the board of Church and Change? Answer - Ski. No surprise here - Tim Glende became Facebook friends with Don Patterson this month. Awww. I wonder - why not before this?
But Patterson un-friended his own church member, Joe Krohn, before excommunicating him for doing what WELS always says to do - go to the person and discuss his errors. Like Rich Techlin in Appleton, Joe and Lisa Krohn were excommunicated for doing following WELS directives in confronting false doctrine.
I found it ironic to have SP Schroeder going through mental contortions at Emmaus about communing members from another parish, another denomination, when WELS pastors excommunicate their own members for being faithful to the Word and the Confessions, for daring to ask questions.
