C. F. W. Walther - The 200th Anniversary Deception.
WELS Member Asks for a Walther Icon.

Narrow-minded Lutheran has left a new comment on your post "C. F. W. Walther - The 200th Anniversary Deception...":

What is really confusing is the melding of two heresies. We were all forgiven at the cross(Universalism), yet we have to make a decision to accept it (Arminianism). What's wrong with Scripture and BOC? Christ atoned for the world's sin at the cross. The Holy Ghost gives the sinner Faith in the Gospel through Word and Sacrament. It's no wonder the Synodical Conference is imploding. They call themselves Lutherans, yet practice Crypto-Calvinism, Arminianism, and Anabaptism.

***

GJ - Narrow-minded, when someone understands the efficacy of the Word in the Means of Grace, these deviations stand out like a bug moving in a bowl of raspberries and cream.

This amalgamation of heresies shows that:
  • Basic education in Lutheran doctrine is missing, all the way up to the leadership levels.
  • The clergy are only being attracted to like-minded individuals - Pietists like Groeschel and Andy Stanley, Babtists like Rick Warren, Universalists like Leonard Sweet.
  • Those initiated in the UOJ cult are almost invulnerable to exegesis and the Confessions, since they always start with Huber/Knapp/Wallther assumptions. That seems to be the core of seminary training, except for "We are the greatest and most orthodox Lutheran synod ever. Repeat. We are the greatest and most orthodox Lutheran body ever. Repeat."
---

AC V has left a new comment on your post "C. F. W. Walther - The 200th Anniversary Deception...":

Regardless of which proof texts are used, the question is: "Do you have/own/possess the forgiveness of your sins without faith?" UOJ says, "Yes, but it doesn't do you any good unless you have faith" Scripture and the BoC says, "No, you do not have/own/possess the forgiveness of your sins except by faith alone through the gospel in Word and Sacrament."

The UOJ-er would say, "We have Subjective Justification, so what's the big deal?" The big deal is that when UOJ is emphasized over so-called Subjective Justification, which UOJ always does because it is considered in WELS to be THE gospel, then either you have confusion because of the terms or more likely - and this is what we're seeing - heretical practices that turn the sacraments into ordinances (i.e. "we're just remembering the forgiveness that Christ gave us on the cross 2,000 years ago") and the Ministry of the Keys into powerless words (i.e. "an unbeliever locks himself out of heaven" [Oct. 6, 2011 Meditations devotion] and "you must forgive your unrepentant, abusive husband because Jesus did a la UOJ.")

***

GJ - In every case - Richard Jungkuntz as the prime example - justification without faith becomes the Gospel, God's grace, and all things bright and beautiful.

Jungkuntz, who feared the loss of UOJ in WELS, dishonestly promoted the historical-critical method at Northwestern College, moved on to Springfield and the LCMS doctrinal board for the same mission, and chaired the first gay seminary in America - Seminex, the official seminary for the Metropolitan Community Church. They even had a homosexual professor - Deppe.

The Seminex professors moved to the Lutheran School of Theology (ELCA) in Chicago, making it even more radical.

People need to understand the beginnings of UOJ and also where it ends up.

Seems things are getting worse at HW too. A member who solos there frequently and who has not shunned me on FB posted a vid of what he will be singing today. The song is crocked full of works and decision theology.

Quiet WELsian et. al.

The issue is not grammer etc. We are discussing my comment at the Real Icahabod. It will be to your advantage to skip the ad hominem on Dr. Jackson. That is, if you want to take the high moral ground for which you criticise him for having less.

I do not check my grammar most times because when I comment, a.) I am usually in a hurry b.) I only check my grammar if I am writing a paper for an international conference etc. There I have no choice but to waste time in that exercise.

The real issue is this God does not merely passively foreknow that he will create faith in us, but he makes a decision to predestine us from the foundation of the world as Ephesian says. He cannot have passive knowledge of something he will do, since he must actively decides to cause faith in the believer

Then you can answer my question , on what basis does God predestine a person, is it according to Decree?

A simple yes or no will do.

Personally, I believe that Walther and Waltherians made a serious blunder in engaging in predestinarian controversy that was present during Walther's era.

Also It is clear to me that you are not very familiar with his (Walther's)theology. I would encourage you to read the man on your own and not listen to Jackson on him or anything else for that matter

I have read and re-read his Law and Gospel and I have read his essays. I do not care if I have not read all of his work, I am satisfied that in what I have read I have compelling evidence that he was a.) responsible for the synodical fragmentation of Lutheranism in USA, b.) He was a Huberite and a quasi-Universalist, c.) He absolutely was not familiar that Calvinism is not only an ism - it is actually a rational paradigm in which he fell.

Walther and Waltherians are actually Calvinistic in paradigm. The Calvinism sneaked in through Pietism. That is my contention about you UOJers.

So let me cut to the chase that I might understand your position

What do you teach is the basis of predestination? Does God predestine people according to his decree?

Brett Meyer has left a new comment on your post "Jerry Sandusky, Former Coach At Penn State, Is Cha...":

There are similarities between this grotesque account and the (W)ELS clergy who, contrary to the Synod's official false doctrine of Universal Objective Justification, reject UOJ and confess solely justification by faith alone (JBFA) but turn a blind eye when faithful Christian families are excommunicated from their Synod for staying faithful to JBFA.

***

GJ - Corruption of doctrine also means corruption of behavior. WELS, Missouri, and the Little Sect turn a blind eye to many kinds of abuse against their own members. WELS lied to the court when a minor girl sued Fred Adrian's congregation and WELS for being seduced by the married vicar. The judge issued WELS an order from the bench to tell the truth about many other scandals. (Lying to the court is perjury, a felony.)

DP Robert Mueller and VP Paul Kuske were deeply offended by the notion that they should not place a known wolf  (doctrine and behavior) in a flock, but they did it anyway. The Michigan District is just bursting at the seams with people who want their wives and daughters violated by the clergy.

The Michigan District is very mission-oriented. If a pastor drives his car into a light pole in a drunken stupor, he is sent to Russia, where no one is supposed to notice.

In Russia, we test the sober drivers,
saves time.
Welcome, Comrade.

The questions asked in this article could be asked of the Wisconsin Synod, especially the Michigan District. The pastors who pretended not to know are still in leadership positions, including DP Seifert.

When will the District Presidents step down? Church is almost as important as football. Except for the  antinomians in WELS, there are still rules.

Trials

"One Christian who has been tried is worth a hundred who have not been tried, for the blessing of God grows in trials. He who has experienced them can teach, comfort, and advise many in bodily and spiritual matters."
Martin Luther, What Luther Says, An Anthology, 3 vols., ed., Ewald Plass, St. Louis: Concordia Publishing House, 1959, III, p. 1381. Genesis 27:28-29.

"In order to keep your faith pure, do nothing else than stand still, enjoy its blessings, accept Christ's works, and let him bestow His love upon you. You must be blind, lame, deaf, dead, leprous and poor, otherwise you will stumble at Christ. That Gospel which suffers Christ to be seen and to be doing good only among the needy, will not belie you."
Martin Luther, Sermons of Martin Luther, 8 vols., ed., John Nicholas Lenker, Grand Rapids: Baker Book House, 1983, I, p. 110. Third Sunday in Advent. Matthew 11:2-10.

"We have the comfort of this victory of Christ--that He maintains His Church against the wrath and power of the devil; but in the meantime we must endure such stabs and cruel wounds from the devil as are necessarily painful to our flesh and blood. The hardest part is that we must see and suffer all these things from those who call themselves the people of God and the Christian Church. We must learn to accept these things calmly, for neither Christ nor the saints have fared better."
Martin Luther, Sermons of Martin Luther, 8 vols., ed., John Nicholas Lenker, Grand Rapids: Baker Book House, 1983, III, p. 263. Sunday after Ascension, Exaudi. John 15:26-16:4.

"Therefore God must lead us to a recognition of the fact that it is He who puts faith in our heart and that we cannot produce it ourselves. Thus the fear of God and trust in Him must not be separated from one another, for we need them both, in order that we may not become presumptuous and overconfident, depending upon ourselves. This is one of the reasons why God leads His saints through such great trials."
Martin Luther, Sermons of Martin Luther, 8 vols., ed., John Nicholas Lenker, Grand Rapids: Baker Book House, 1983, II, p. 21. First Sunday after Epiphany. Luke 2:41-52.

"Secondly, God permits His saints to suffer these trials as an example for others, both to alarm the carnally secure and to comfort the timid and alarmed...But when we see and hear that God has in like manner dealt with His saints and did not spare even His own mother, we have the knowledge and comfort that we need not despair in our trials, but remain quiet and wait until He helps us, even as He has helped all His saints."
Martin Luther, Sermons of Martin Luther, 8 vols., ed., John Nicholas Lenker, Grand Rapids: Baker Book House, 1983, II, p. 40f. First Sunday after Epiphany, Second Sermon. Luke 2:41-52.

"Now it is the consolation of Christians, and especially of preachers, to be sure and ponder well that when they present and preach Christ, that they must suffer persecution, and nothing can prevent it; and that it is a very good sign of the preaching being truly Christian, when they are thus persecuted, especially by the great, the saintly, the learned and the wise."
Martin Luther, Sermons of Martin Luther, 8 vols., ed., John Nicholas Lenker, Grand Rapids: Baker Book House, 1983, II, p. 97. Fourth Sunday after Epiphany. Matthew 8:23-27.

"Not only is Christ hidden from the world, but a still harder thing is it that in such trials Christ conceals himself even from His church, and acts as if He had forgotten, aye, had entirely forsaken and rejected it, since He permits it to be oppressed under the cross and subjected to all the cruelty of the world, while its enemies boast, glory and rejoice over it, as we shall hear in the next Gospel."
Martin Luther, Sermons of Martin Luther, 8 vols., ed., John Nicholas Lenker, Grand Rapids: Baker Book House, 1983, III, p. 67. Second Sunday after Easter. John 10:11-16.

"There is another temptation also in the time of trouble which was punished severely among the people of Israel and which alas is common as compared to the other temptation and equally irrational. That temptation occurs before God's Word is heard; this after we hear the Word, namely thus: when we know that God has promised help in the time of any trouble, but are not content with it, go forward and will not abide His promise, but prescribe time, place, and manner for His help; and then if He does not come as we expect and desire, faith vanishes."
Martin Luther, Sermons of Martin Luther, 8 vols., ed., John Nicholas Lenker, Grand Rapids: Baker Book House, 1983, I, p. 366. Epiphany. Matthew 2:1-12.

What can we learn from Babtists like Stanley and Warren?
Nothing.

GJ - These comforting quotations are far removed from the self-centered bragging of the Evan-jellyfish, who are spineless and poisonous. For a time large crowds gather to hear them boast about their great success, creating a fake sense of intimacy with their audiences. Like Schuller and Osteen, their faces grow into the mask they assume for broadcasts.

Why are the "conservative" Lutheran seminaries turning out clones of Schuller, Osteen, Driscoll, and Groeschel?

Answer - the schools are charging a fortune in tuition to turn their students against Biblical, Lutheran doctrine. Fraudulent professors turn out fake Lutheran pastors.

Proof That the Olde Synodical Conference Was,
And Continues To Be, Pietistic

The marks (notae) of Pietism are obvious:
  1. Cell groups are the real church while the congregation is a convenient gathering place for groups.
  2. Shunning.
  3. Doctrinal indifference and unionism.
  4. Halle University, the mother ship, created to promote the movement.
Henry Melchior Muhlenberg was a Pietist who graduated from Halle University and founded the Pennsylvania Ministerium, which grew into the General Synod/General Council.

Fill in the blank in the following sentences, to test your Pietism I.Q.

Bishop Martin Stephan was a _______ who attended Halle University, gloried in his cell group ministry, and founded the Missouri Synod.

C.F.W. Walther was a ______ who belonged to a Holy Club and associated with Martin Stephan, usurping the leadership role while continuing the ______ cell groups for many years.

J.K.W. Loehe was influenced by the Reformed and attended the University of Berlin. Influenced by the writing of Hollaz, Loehe emphasized the Confessions, Holy Communion, and the pastoral office. The Loehe missionaries invited the Perryville ______s to join them in forming a synod. Loehe's man started the Ft. Wayne seminary, but Loehe was shunned and erased from LCMS history because he was not a ______.

Adoph Hoenecke was a ______ who graduated from Halle University, but his study of the Confessions watered down the ______ influence after graduation. He joined the ______ Wisconsin Synod, which was started by a unionistic mission society.

The Little Sect on the Prairie came from the ______ Norwegian tradition, which is why they are hotter than Georgia asphalt for UOJ.

Today ELCA teaches UOJ, with an emphasis on universal absolution, promoting cell groups and unionism, because they are also from the ______ tradition.

Answers to the above test - the correct word for every single blank is Pietist.

The Olde Synodical Conference Pietists Today

  1. They refuse to allow doctrinal discussions, because they hate the Confessions and embrace doctrinal indifference.
  2. They love Church Growth and Emergent Church because both forms of Enthusiasm promote cell groups, the real church in their eyes.
  3. Liturgical worship and Biblical sermons are disappearing because Pietists always favor unLutheran worship.
  4. If a pastor or layman wants to discuss doctrine, that person is shunned and insulted, along with his family members. Anyone who persists in questioning Pietism is expelled as a "trouble-maker" or worse.
  5. The pastors go along with this abuse because they are afraid of being shunned and expelled.
  6. The LCMS, WELS, and ELS happily work with ELCA because they share the same doctrinal foundation - UOJ - and the same repudiation of the Scriptures. Nevertheless, they act holier than thou because Pietists need to keep up appearances. What is more fun than denouncing ELCA while grabbing funds for working with them?
  7. The three Bibles promoted by the Conference partners are: LCMS - the Calvinist ESV; WELS - the Universalist porno-mytho-NIV; ELS - the Babtist NKJV.
---

Brett Meyer has left a new comment on your post "Proof That the Olde Synodical Conference Was, And ...":

The effects of doctrinal indifference are severe. On one hand most (W)ELSians will avoid any discussion of doctrine where Scripture and the Confessions are the sole arbiters. On the other hand they will gladly enter into a doctrinal discussion when everything is open to consideration and no interpretation is condemned. An example would be the so-called Bible studies where everyone shares what the verse or chapter means to them and the Pastor, layman or laywoman leading the group simply acknowledges each opinion as a viable alternative.

The result over time is abhorrent to anyone who holds God's Word as the supreme authority and not open to personal interpretation. A prime example is the Synod President's brother, Pastor Neal Schroeder's question at the 2011 Emmaus Conference in Washington state. He asked the Synodical CEO's whether the Lutheran church should continue to teach that God works solely through the Word purely taught and Sacraments rightly distributed. He proposed that God also works through the Word impurely taught and Sacraments wrongly distributed. He had an Eastern European example to fortify his position which he admitted was contrary to the historic Lutheran confession. A few LCMS pastors mumbled, "no,no, no" but most of the attendees had no reaction and simply waited to see if there was a counterpoint from the Synod presidents.

It is a subjective determination as to how far down the road to utter apostasy the (W)ELS has gone. But the appalling lack of public repudiation for all of the unChristian and anti-Lutheran doctrine and practice which is running rampant speaks volumes to the speed at which they are making the journey.

2 Peter 1:20-21, Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Bruce Church Describes Another Sobbing, But Not Starving Pastor

bruce-church (https://bruce-church.myopenid.com/) has left a new comment on your post "Bankrupt church wants donations for pastor’...":

Schuller family food insecurity reminds me of a WELS pastor whose salary was cut by $5,000, from $44,000 to $39,000 per year, but yet he got free medical and stayed free at parsonage, and his wife had a great job, too. Then he was complaining about food insecurity during announcements after a church service, wondering where he'd get the money to buy groceries. The members at that point all got food insecurity, too, but not of the same kind. They felt they were about to lose their breakfast!

His pay got cut for not doing evangelism. Also, one could add that he's the one that drove his kids all over the place for school, soccer, hockey, YMCA, etc. In other words, he was being soccer mom instead of his wife doing that, and no pastor can afford the time for that.

I have said before the pastor got docked $4,000, but that was in error. I realize it was $5,000. I just spit out a figure without doing the simple math. Oops!

***

GJ - To pay rent on a house, one would have to earn about $1200 a month to net $900 a month for rent. Free utilities are worth another $500 a month (gross). Employees get medical coverage but business owners pay a fortune for their own; nevertheless, medical coverage is worth a lot. With his wife earning a good salary and benefits, the couple is earning $100,000 a year with many tax advantages. Meanwhile, the congregation  is paying a fortune for the husband to be the wife and take care of the domestic chores.

ChurchMouse on the University of Notre Dame

churchmousec (http://churchmousec.wordpress.com/) has left a new comment on your post "Joe Krohn: "Don't Pray for Me, Fake-0-Blogger"":

Joe, I have read your ongoing story here on Ichabod and offer my humble prayers for you and your family. I cannot imagine what you folks are going through. Rest assured, God's grace will guide you to a better church home in time.

As to Notre Dame, with apologies to Dr Jackson, I can speak only with assurance about what goes on at the Golden Dome. If these bizarre events have been observed (questionable), then they would appear to be a warning.

Seven years ago, the university invited Tarik Ramadan to be a guest professor for a semester. He had some visa problems which prevented that happening. A number of ND professors were outraged. Meanwhile, the French newspaper Le Monde -- left-of-centre -- featured a number of articles detailing why Ramadan had to exile himself to Switzerland. His views were too extreme for the French government, which was, at the time, seeking to build new mosques for a growing Muslim population.

Back at ND, and on a more mundane scale, a number of things have occurred on campus over the past 40+ years which are, frankly, not befitting our Lord Jesus Christ -- or His mother. This includes acts by students, faculty and alumni.

Feel free, Dr Jackson, not to publish this, but if there are weird things happening -- which I doubt on a rational level (however interesting the accounts) -- they might be 'appearing' to those who have a need for repentance.

I would not recommend that university to anyone.

GJ - I am happy to publish this. I have been following events at Notre Dame for decades, and I have reported on them. Two of the homosexual worship professors were atheists, and one of them was likely murdered, with the crime scene cleaned up by the future president of ND, an ethics professor.

I thought giving an honorary degree to Obama was ND's low point, because of Obama's virulent pro-abortion stance. The "conservative" Lutherans are just as hypocritical, working with Thrivent and ELCA. Appleton is headquarters for Church and Change, and for Thrivent.

The traditionalists say that the Notre Dame board is simply money-minded and completely apostate. Two of my fellow theology students (Roman Catholics) were disgusted that I believed in the Virgin Birth of Christ and His actual resurrection. One is teaching at a Catholic college today. The other is president of a famous Catholic college.

The world-wide state of Christian apostasy is the reason for this blog. The apostates do not want me to write about them.

Bankrupt church wants donations for pastor’s sick wife ferried in limo | The Lookout - Yahoo! News:

Some members of a bankrupt Orange County, Calif. megachurch are expressing outrage after fielding an email request for congregants to deliver food to waiting limos so that it can ferried to the founder's sick wife. The appeal comes weeks after a lawsuit charged that the founder of the Crystal Cathedral house of worship, Rev. Robert Schuller, and his family had been paying themselves lavish salaries and other benefits while the church was in financial straits.

"They've completely depleted the church's funds," one member, Bob Canfield, told the Orange County Register. "But they have shown that they have absolutely no remorse for what they've done. They're still being chauffeured around in limos. We, the congregants, have nothing."

An email sent recently by Crystal Cathedral administrators said that Schuller and his wife, Arvella, "would appreciate meals over the next three to four weeks." It added: "They are to be sent to the church in order to be transported to Arvella. The limo drivers could pick up the dinners or meet in the Tower Lobby around 4:30 p.m."

Arvella Schuller has been suffering from pneumonia, and the email asked that the food be low in sodium and include items such as fruit, meat, soup and eggs.

Crystal Cathedral Ministries filed for bankruptcy last month. A lawsuit filed by creditors alleges thatthe Schullers borrowed more than $10 million from the church's endowment fund, and used it for salaries and regular church expenses.

"R.H. Schuller used his control and influence to cause the [cathedral] to enter into the agreements that benefitted himself and his family, to the detriment of the creditors and in breach of his fiduciary duties" to the church, the suit charges.

A spokesman for the church, John Charles, said the food request was in keeping with the church's commitment to Christian charity. "As Dr. Schuller always says, 'Find a need and fill it,'" he said. "I think that's what we were trying to do here."

But Canfield sees things differently. "These are millionaires who have limos and chauffeurs," he said. "Why in God's name would they want the congregants to deliver meals? It's ludicrous."

John has left a new comment on your post "Bankrupt church wants donations for pastor’...":

One wonders why such a once thriving church as Schuller's seems now to be crumbling.

A church that once filled a drive-in theater, then a huge glass sanctuary along with world wide television exposure is now failing.

It was all about Schuller. One had to send his money to him, via Hour of Power.

Jeske seems to speak more of our state as sinners, and of Christ, and Him crucified. YET, Jeske never refers the watchers of Time of Grace to their local W/ELS pastors/congregations for further instruction/information. Doesn't this mean that one is to go only to Jeske through Time of Grace? This is different from Schuller/Hour of Power how?

Jeske certainly has no mega church in Milwaukee. One wonders whether this fact doesn't show all the more that Time of Grace is all about him.

Maybe folks are realizing that the message that they are receiving from some has nothing whatsoever to do with their salvation and are bolting.

I think a great way to "prepare" during this Adventide is to make use of the gift of private Confession and Absolution. We don't often think of it as such, but it is rightly considered a sacrament in the Lutheran Church and its gifts of Spirit-given repentance and forgiveness beautifully compliment the penitential season of Advent. Coupled with frequent reception of the Holy Supper and hearing the Proclaimed Gospel during the Divine Service, what better Means are there to "prepare the way" for the King of Kings than Those that He has given us!? 3 hours ago

The WELS Church and Changers Are Unraveling Fast

The recent hissy-fits from Appleton-Fox Valley WELS are revealing. They are signs of frustration, coming from the emotionally immature and the doctrinally bankrupt.

Some signs are:
  • They engage in personal attacks, by name, against people whose sin is posting in a friendly way on this blog.
  • They imagine that insults directed at an entire state make them more sophisticated, as if their culture of beer and floozies can be made more urbane by comparison.
  • These Church and Changers give away their real character - not their interest in the Gospel, but a passion to tear down anyone who seems to be a threat to their empire.
  • Their New NIV has become their tarbaby. They have to promote it, because the corrupt, porno-mytho translation supports their false doctrine. However, most people are aware of the laughable quality of the NIV business. Do not mention billionaire Murdoch - mind you. They will force it upon WELS, but that will finish off their publishing business.
  • Their SP only appears in Christian News - front page! - to denounce the truth on this blog, making him the first Lutheran primate to defend a homosexual video, with the odd defense that his MLC boys were mocking gaity.
  • Their precious UOJ is falling apart, due to historical research done by their own people. Oh yes - sad news for the Changers. The two key discoveries about their precious UOJ have come from within: Knapp and Huber. I wish I could name my helpers, but no one wants to deal with the savage bullies led by John Lawrenz, Steve Witte, John Parlow, Wayne Mueller, Paul Calvin Kelm, David Valleskey, Frosty Bivens, Larry Olson, James Huebner, and many others.
  • They are backing away from the normal language of UOJ - everyone saved and forgiven without faith. They hint at it but avoid their favorite terms, doubtless because too many people now realize it is doctrinal fraud and anti-Christian teaching.
  • Don Patterson and Tim Glende have become friends on Facebook and shown their common cause by excommunicating people who questioned matters and asked for meetings. They ducked meetings, trashed the members, and kicked them out. Oh the love of Jesus burns bright in the Changers' hearts.

At First, Nothing Was Done to the Professor 's Son.
Now Nothing Will Be Done Because of the Money Involved - Mark Jeske

rlschultz has left a new comment on your post "Time of Grace, Mark Jeske, and the Occult":

Once again, this proves that Enthusiasm makes war against the Efficacy of the Word. It also disproves the notion that these tactics can be sanitized and Lutheranized. All throughout Scriptures, we are told that God gives us his Word, which can always be trusted. Any charlatan can claim that God spoke to him internally. That line is always used to support any kind of lame ministry that pops up. It is also used to justify extravagant expenditures, because the Lord allegedly told them to do so. Coupled with this is the misuse of prayer as a Means of Grace. You hear the huckster preachers say, "I prayed until the Lord gave me the answer that I was looking for." Wolf preachers do not want members with discernment. That is why they are so opposed to any form of doctrinal instruction.

This type of occult teaching is in line with the (W)ELS acceptance and promotion of the Satanic New Age Roman Catholic practice of Taize worship. I've watched a (W)ELS gradeschool presentation where a young child's script was to state that when deciding on a career choice we should listen to the small voice inside. In the (W)ELS slide toward apostasy they are losing Christian discernment and now believe any influence is God's voice speaking to them, leading them. It's the same kind of Enthusiasm that's inherent in the Baptist, Methodist and Pentecostal doctrines and practices that the (W)ELS allows in their churches. It's the open door to satanic influence, doctrine and practice. Separated from God's Word the (W)ELS is following in the same steps as the ELCA with Her Church and the Roman Catholic AntiChrist leading the way.

Joe Krohn: "Don't Pray for Me, Fake-0-Blogger"

Joe Krohn

LutherRocks said to the fake Ichabod...

Please don't pray for me. You are of another spirit, which you revealed in a comment concerning our excommunication. And like the cowards you are and continue to be, you deleted it. You have bigger problems than Dr. Jackson. If I can't think for myself, then neither can the Intrepids since they are confessing said same. Why don't you attend to your own WELS house instead of being concerned with those outside of your fellowship who really have no say in the matter.

LutherRocks has left a new comment on your post "Joe Krohn: "Don't Pray for Me, Fake-0-Blogger"":

Actually they deleted all of of the dialogue I had with them last summer. I don't know who these guys are, but if they are laymen they ought to be ashamed of themselves. If they are clergy as you claim, well, they are unfit for ministry.

***

GJ - They are shameless, exhibiting the typical behavior of the Sausage Factory graduates. Tim gave himself away by sending comments, which have a date stamp, while Appleton lit up on the Feedjit map, showing the same time. Feedjit also displays the operating system, which was Apple. Tim always got upset when The CORE was criticized, but not when anything else from Church and Change was addressed.

Good Idea for Backing Up Research, This Blog and Others

Hi Dr. Jackson,

I found out that the supposed backup feature in Blogger.com is quite limited. It just backs up your
text, but not pictures or anything else. In order to "mirror" your entire blog or website, one has to
use a free program like WinHT Web Site Copier available at Download.com.

So two days and some hours ago I aimed it at your home page for Ichabod, and even though I
have AT&T U-Verse 200 Level, it took all that time to download your entire Ichabod blog. The total was
27.4 GB and  98,000 files. Blogger.com fed the files to my PC over the internet at a rate of about 27 kilobytes per second, I think it was.

Of course, each file is not a blog entry. I suppose you have several thousand blog entries, and the way website editing works, you end up with many files and a few sub-directories per blog entry.

So now I can browse Ichabod all the way back to 2006 or whenever the first entry was, all offline. It's
speedier, too, since it doesn't have to be downloaded to my computer as I navigate.

Anyway, I suggest you get WinHT and back up your entire site in case some hacker destroys it first, or just for peace of mind. I'll keep and update my copy of it.

***

GJ - My specialty is destroying peace of mind, among false teachers. Notice how useful this would have been for downloading all of Church and Change or Issues in WELS, both now as extinct as the dodo bird.

Also, trying to search with the little window on the blog - it is not very effective. I often just use Google's main search window for that.

Mark Jeske, Time of Grace:
Samuel Huber's False Doctrine Regurgitated

AC V has left a new comment on your post "Readers Respond to the Wizard Mark Jeske: WELS LCM...":

Time of Grace layin' it all out there:

Time of Grace on Facebook:

Jesus is already pure, and now he says you are too. Do you look at yourself as pure? Or does your guilty conscience endlessly remind you of what a piece of trash you are? You are pure. He made purification for you! When you lay your head on the pillow tonight, you can say, "I am pure." Not on the basis of your own performance, but on the basis of HIS performance.

http://www.facebook.com/timeofgrace

That kind of theology is exactly what the orthodox Lutheran theologians at Wittenberg condemned Samuel Huber for only 15 years after the Book of Concord was published:

“And to make his (Huber) opinion plain enough to us, he then asked us, how we would deal with people, if we came to a place, where nothing had been taught about Christ before. Then we answered him that we would start with the Law; make it clear to them that they were poor sinners and under the wrath of God, which they should recognize with penitent hearts. If they now were sorry for their sins, God offers through the Gospel His grace and remission of sins in Christ, wishing to make them righteous and saved, as far as they would accept it in true faith. To this Dr. Huber responded: No, this would not be the true way to preach to the unbelievers, but he would begin by saying this: You have the grace of God, you have the righteousness of Christ, you have salvation. - Concilia Theologica Witebergensia, Frankfurt an Mayn 1664, p. 554.

Medical quacks partners with Time of Grace? Posted under "We're excited to share this great video with you from Dr. Tom Potisk, friend and partner of Time of Grace and a member of Pastor Jeske's home church. Enjoy!"

Martha Torreson As an RN, ND who practices with significant emphasis on spiritual care, I was interested in what Dr. Potisk had to say...much good to encourage healthy living. But am somewhat concerned that he doesn't seem to accurately reflect a medical model (I understand he comes from a chiropractic practice), and of more concern is the subtle mixture of some New Age religious beliefs in his wholistic approach...lacking in glorifying God in these beings (our lives) that He created and that He redeemed, and that He will raise to live eternally in the New Heaven & New Earth! Just trying to add to this "healthy" discussion in Christian love, most sincerely!!

Nancy-Elizabeth Wentzel Dr. Potisk, I see from your blog post on your website that you have a book called "Wellness Wins!" that promotes many of your holistic health philosophies. http://www.wholehealthhealing.com/?p=478

I was just wondering if all the spiritual wisdom in your book is strictly speaking from a Christian point of view, or if you draw on ideas from other faiths as well (I noticed a mention of Deepak Chopra, for example.) Thanks for any info you can provide! 4 hours ago

The Socially Retarded Samuel Thrace Continues To Reveal His Mequon Ejukation

Ron Ash, a more modest view of Katy Perry, and the saucer-eyed Tim Glende,
leading the Groeschelites into battle against Lutheran worship and doctrine.

 Samuel Thrace said...

I found it interesting that Greg thinks that Tim Glende wrote my post mocking Brett Meyer for thinking he is well known and has patented catch phrases.

I just want to affirm that I am not Tim Glende, Real Ichabod, or Anonymouse. I know that Greg wants to think that Tim is the only one who opposes him. The truth is that there are a lot of people who see through his plastic mask and know that he is nothing but an angry and bitter man, jealous of those who still have an actual ministry and who live in places that are not as backward as Arkansas. (Yeah, I know that there are a lot of good people in Arkansas, but it's also the state that stupidly convicted the East Memphis Three of murder just because they dressed in black and listened to Metallica.)

Oh, as someone who had two daughters with special needs, Greg should also know better than to use the word "retarded" as an insult.

***

GJ - Socially retarded  means that the participants on the fake blog have never grown up. The smart-aleck response from this Samuel Thrace is another indication of his limited vocabulary and reading comprehension.

Socially retarded is a fair description of the Sausage Factory graduates, as they admit among themselves. They act like little boys, even when ready to graduate in their middle to late 20s.

Like little boys, they still have their secret society, GA, which hosts an annual hazing ritual. But they continue to deny GA, even though six victims went through it recently. How juvenile is that - the need to continue hazing and the continuous deceit? Mequon is the only Lutheran seminary with hazing rituals - no wonder they are ashamed to admit it.

I know that Greg wants to think that Tim is the only one who opposes him.  That shows a mature mode of thinking. I would love to have Sister Mary Perpetua diagram that sentence. Graduates of the fabulous WELS system do not undergo that kind of rigor - obviously. "I know that Greg wants to think that..." His divine omniscience is simply stunning. He not only knows what I think, but what I want to think. I am happy for the opponents who continue to read Ichabod. Sometimes they turn to the Scriptures and Confessions, repenting. The Word of God enlightens and converts, but it also hardens and blinds.

Brett Meyer Responds to the Lying Blog

Brett Meyer has left a new comment on your post "Tim Glende and Ski Rev Up Their Slander Blog Again...":

Those plagiarizing apostates are so funny. Someone either posted to their blog in my name (unlikely since they haven't published a post since June of 2011) or are blatantly lying, quoting a comment I never made. Anyone who has read my comments knows that I'm the only person who bundles the ELS and WELS together in this fashion (W)ELS. It's my way of showing that through the two synod's violent marriage they are both responsible for each others false doctrine and practice. A subtle distinction that is lost on the false teaching clowns of American Lutheran Apostasy.

Faithful Confessional Lutherans should let them roar and thrash as loudly as they dare, for through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.(2 Peter 2:3) But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; (2 Peter 2:12)

By the grace and mercy of God, In Christ,
Brett Meyer

GJ - Brett points out something I have seen before, and it has happened again in similar fashion. These poor Sausage Factory graduates are socially retarded, acting like little boys kicked out of Cub Scouts for spitting on the den mother and befouling the punch. Sad to say, their behavior is not unusual for WELS clergy.

Many months ago someone posted in my name, too. But this also happened today. There is a long quotation, marked by quotation marks, as if I published it, but I did not write." It is a typical Straw Man, and the writer implies with his deception that I said something that proves he is right. How clever, to make up another quotation to prove the anonymous liar right.

That is why I quote people verbatim and also give the link. Often the original material disappears (examples - Church and Change websty, Issues in WELS website, Rick Johnson's offering figures, Rick Johnson's adoring review of Leonard Sweet). Anyone can check out the original before it is removed, and read it over if the Ichabod effect kicks in too fast.

I appreciate the conflict, Appleton boys. The page-reads are beyond 2,000 today and adding up fast. Many people enjoy seeing Mark Jeske's errand boys make fools of themselves.

Samuel Thrace has left a new comment on your post "Tim Glende and Ski Rev Up Their Slander Blog Again...":

Well isn't this pathetic! Brett Meyer thinks he's well known? He thinks that he has patented catch phrases? That's almost as pathetic as Greg's opinion that he's got a ministry because a few people download his sermons!

(By the way, I was suspicious that the Brett Meyer post on Real Ichabod was fake because it wasn't nearly as long-winded, meandering, and angry as the posts by the real Brett Meyer. Being long-windedd, meandering, and angry is his true patented catch phrase.)

***

GJ - Tim, try to hide your identity better. We all know how much you rage, always going over the same phrases that tickle your lupine brain.

Tim Glende and Ski Rev Up Their Slander Blog Again

Which one is Glende? Which one is Ski?
They are allergic to crab, but they love feasting on mutton.

Every few months Tim Glende has to unload another blog post, a good indication that the facts are getting to him, his hide bristling again.

I consider Jack Kilcrease and Tim Glende good indicators. The more they rage, betraying their pettiness, the better I feel.

They have trouble counting. I read that I have a two-member church. And yet we have had 30 households watching the live broadcasts, with thousands of file reads already recorded. We have had members visit from the Northwest, Michigan, Ohio, and even from Arkansas. Glende is famous for excommunicating an attorney who correctly identified the parson as a blatant plagiarist of Craig Groeschel's nonsense.

Glende is a Facebook friend of Don Patterson, who excommunicated Joe and Lisa Krohn for asking doctrinal questions. Joe dared to wonder about the folly of paying Cornerstone (LCMS-WELS) $45,000 to jump-start a mission next door to the Rock N Roll WELS mission.

The Church and Changers do not care to teach doctrine, not even their own. They rage against the truth of the Gospel. Every so often I read congregational statements of faith. The summaries are so vague and generic that any sect could publish them, but no Lutheran congregation should.

Don Patterson, Tim Glende, and Ski are true ecumenists - they love every confession of faith, except their own.

GJ - No one can adequately express the hilarity of John Johnson, a founder of Church and Change, giving an address titled "Wolves in Sheep's Clothing."

KJV Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

"Thou art Steve Witte, a crown without wit,
yet I wilt build my Asian porta-sem upon thy Gordon-Conwell DMin.
Go and rage against Lutheran doctrine,
for everything must change to fulfill the will
of Our Father Below."

KJV Acts 20:27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. 28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. 29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. 31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

WELS Church and Change began in Fox Valley, led by Steve Witte and John Johnson and John Parlow. They have taken down their website and gone into hiding, because I exposed their faces, titles, and odious doctrine. All I had to do was quote them and publish their leering, lupine faces. In the meantime, as I warned, Mark Jeske created a number of clone organizations, so he could gather a bevvy of Enthusiasts providing an income stream.

Johnson is warning WELS clergy and laity against the Intrepid Lutherans and anyone else who might oppose their infernal wisdom.
