Here is a picture of the front of the medallion, above. The medal will be cast in bronze, in honor of the Bronze Age Missourians who worship C. F. W. Walther, Ed Preuss, Stoeckhardt, and F. Pieper.

Does anyone recall this
kind of a big deal for Loehe in 2008 for his 200th Birthday?

Looks like collectors can pair up the infamous Walther medallion with their Nazi-issued Luther Birthday 2 Reichsmark coins from 1937.
On another note, Washington DC was just hit by a 6.0 Richter scale earthquake the day after the Martin Luther King memorial was unveiled. The quake took the pinnacles off the Washington National Cathedral. This is fitting symbolism showing that the theological basis for the United States is crumbling now that King is honored on the Mall. King was a liberal in his theology and view of Scriptures, and believed in evolution, was a womanizer, and some claim he was a Marxist. His statue on the Washington Mall was made in China by a sculpture who made Chairman Mao statues!

I have heard and have read from a good number of LC_MS people how Walther is **their** HERO.
No wonder LC-MS pastors are becoming RC. If they are going to idol worship Walther, why not do idol worship on Mary since at least she is the mother of Jesus. Compared to Walther she has more clout.
The slide to RC practice of worshiping the saints is a lot easier then since they already had some practice doing this using Walther.

Oops. I meant 1933, Luther's 450th B-Day, not 1937. Kristallnacht fell on Luther's B-Day, on purpose I might add, but that was in 1938.
Good point, LPC. Perhaps this is the reason for a "harmless little lunch": http://steadfastlutherans.org/?p=15548
Narrow-minded,
I went over that page. The hobnobbing will happen because in Vatican II, universalism has its place in Mother Church. Since UOJers are virtually universalists, the sitting down and working together with RC is no cause for concern for the UOJers. No matter what people believe they are saved anyway so why fight people with anti-Biblical confession and teaching.
