Planning Ahead - God Willing and the Cricks Don't Rise

We will finish the Gospel of Mark in Greek just before Advent. We are finishing chapter 12 next Wednesday.

We will start on the Gospel of John, aiming at beginners and veterans, on Ash Wednesday. I will try to gather a post on getting reading for it, with various resources on it. Anyone who starts with some practice in Greek will find it easier to digest as we start. Listen up - Greek is easy, and the Gospel of John uses the simplest language possible. The Fourth Gospel is also the most powerful, so going through it phrase by phrase is quite an experience for anyone.

The next small project will be to gather quotations from the Household Sermons of Luther, three volumes, which we published lately. Then, if possible, the four volumes will be merged into one pdf and given away on the Net. Warren Malach and Alec Satin made that possible, with illustrations from Norma A. Boeckler.

I will be working on more projects for the Bethany Lutheran Mission in the Philippines.

Of the promised projects, I am working on how to present American Lutheran history, more along the lines of doctrinal trends, so it will be something like The Two Pietisms, ELCA versus the Synodical Conference. I may add to the Ichabod Lutheran Dictionary, one item at a time.

In the near future we are meeting with Glen Kotten, dateline Sioux Falls, God willing and the cricks don't rise.

Rolf Preus - Fulminating about His Beloved Objective Justification - Again!

The 9-23-2019 Christian News features Rolfie One-Note laying down a smothering blanket of Chief Article fog so he can re-define it as Objective Justification. Like the elderly, confused Joe Biden, his self-serving prolixity focuses on his astonishing abilities.

Likewise, scam artists begin with their pledge of honesty, sincerity, and dedication to their clients just before laying out their newest scheme to deprive someone of money. I love having them on the phone, because the right question makes them explode in anger and hang up.

The OJ scam artists accomplish their magic by combining and confusing two topics in the Scriptures. Because they are stuck on OJ the way chewing gum is stuck on shoes, the hidden agenda - and its perfume - become evident quickly.

OJ is simply - "God has absolved the sins of the world" or "God has declared the entire world forgiven." This comes from Calvinism, but they emphasize covenant and being the elect. Nevertheless, it is grace without the Means of Grace.

To work their magic, the OJ spinners have to throw their black capes over OJ for a second and transform it into Justification by Faith. Zarling and Bivens did this when Rolfie One-Note was falling off his Sears Roebuck trike.

Thus Rev. One-Note - "The chief article of the faith is justification through faith alone. Justification through faith alone is impossible without objective justification."

Just like that felon CFW Walther and the nincompoop JP Meyer, justification requires faith in universal absolution without faith.

In their wrath, the OJ Stormtroopers cite every atonement passage they can find, to prove what is never stated in the Scriptures or the Confessions, Luther or Chemnitz or Melanchthon.

In effect, by amalgamating atonement and justification, the neo-Calvinists fail to teach either topic correctly. That is why Mark Jeske can get WELS and LCMS to listen to gay activist Rev. Heidi Neumark, with hardly a squeak from the timid Christian News.

Recently, the tireless editor Dan Skogen was denounced on the ALPB site for not having any influence. ELCA acknowledges having more than a million fewer members since it was malformed in 1987. I suspect the results are even more dire, so someone must be reading Skogen.

Today I learned from Skogen's work that one ELCA bishop is already promoting polyamory - in line with Nadia - which should push attendance up at Mark Jeske's Church and Change fiasco.

 Jeske loves working with and for ELCA leaders.

 I have a graphic of Nadia's gift to Gloria Steinem, but it is unpublishable (due to language) on a normal blog.

All the abhorrent trends in American education and culture - including abortion on demand and "marriage" with anyone - were started by the activists in the mainline denominations and quietly supported by their allies in the "conservative" groups like WELS-LCMS-ELS.

The "conservative" Lutheran seminaries are the problem - not the solution. The apostates own them now, because those who might have fought for something gave them up without a shot fired.

These ELCA bishops agree with Objective Justification, if they believe anything at all. Their numbers are increasing.

Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh Would Feel at Home in WELS-LCMS-ELS-ELDONA-CLC (sic)

 No, they sold you down the river so they could share the loot with ELCA. And you voted to keep them in their befouled office!

Various people and journalists are expressing dismay about the NY Times reviving a false accusation against Justice Kavanaugh and promoting a book based on the same slanders.

However, Kavanaugh would feel right at home in the WELS-LCMS-ELS-ELDONA-CLC (sic). I thought about repeating some of their whoppers, which they oink to each other, but why dignify the muted squeals of hogs looking for one more scrap of food?

Not only are the apostate "conservative" leaders far away from what they represent, but they are truly radical, obnoxious, and hateful. Yet they wonder why their weakened structures are melting away from their toxic leadership.

Don't worry - they have another Change or Die! conference coming up on October 10th, led by two epitomes of their alleged positions - in reverse.

1. They are hosting the seminary president representing his faculty's opposition to Creation by the Word, aka the Six Day Creation. 
2. And the audience will hear from women's ordination, nay gay ordination plus abortion-on-demand advocate Heidi Neumark. Change...or Die!

I miss the good old days when I would post some news about the "conservatives" being completely off the rails. The opponents would pepper me anonymously with all kinds of nasty comments. I could trace many of them back to Appleton, Wisconsin and Austin, Texas, both septic systems from Jeske's Time of Grace influence.

Two episodes are especially noteworthy and are connected.

I. All the WELS problems in Columbus, Ohio were my fault. The turmoil had nothing to do with three, notorious divorced Church Growth pastors. However, Columbus blew up after I left, as one person said, "Because you were not around to blame anymore."

II. Tim Glende (from Columbus) and drinking partner Ski and two staffers in Appleton took a man to court because he told the truth about them. As most people outside of WELS know, it is not against the law to tell the truth, nor is it wrong to come to a public meeting where facts are supposed to be discussed. Glende began complaining on the stand about a blog in Arkansas. The judge said, "What?" I guess that line of attack went nowhere. How does one blame a blog "nobody reads" when his drinking buddy is showing obscene photos and making lewd remarks to a lady on the staff? Yet Ski still wanted to sue when Glende's case was tossed out like last week's fish soup.

I could elaborate, but those who want more details can find them on the blog by using the label list on the left column. Tis more important and useful to realize - the leaders of these dying and dead sects never stop getting even for the truth coming out about them.

Write a letter? Ha - that is turned into a confession of sin by the letter-writer. Speak to them first? - that is how they begin their counter-attack lest a lawsuit land them in the red again. They have many lawsuits to settle, but they do their best to thwart them, hide them, deny them.

When the readers hear the Left raving about Kavanaugh and other targets of their fury, just remember - those are identical portrayals of your synodical leaders in action. And there are plenty more pastors and laity willing to share in the fun.

 As Spindletop reminded me, the faithful remain and encourage each other. I responded by saying the apostates energized me to study Luther, the Book of Concord, and the Scriptures.

Five - No SIX! Humminbird Feeders

We only have five hummingbird feeders at the moment, but Ranger Bob said, "You need one more hanging in the porch, or there is no balance."

I wondered if the birds really cared about symmetry - they do have their notions. The first feeder to hang from the porch dropped its sticky cargo when I failed to shut it completely after filling. It is a simple tube filled upside-down, screwed shut, and suspended from the hook again. That feeder was still in the sink when Sassy's favorite visitor stopped by to arrange car issues and other matters.

Sassy, Ranger Bob, and I were enjoying a coffee break on the porch yesterday. Sassy trotted off to meet a terrier from down the cul-de-sac. They had a meet-and-greet, then I called Sassy to come back. She returned and asked for more coconut crackers from  BelVita - but primarily from Bob. If Bob offers them, they are the best. If I do, well, sniff-sniff-sniff, not the same.

Mrs. Ichabod comes out to share the view or ask about when we will walk the uncrowded cul-de-sac. That is now a daily tradition in the afternoon shade. As humid and hot as this area is, the late afternoons are pleasant.

During the various discussions, our favorite hummingbird showed up. He faced us, tail down, head up, and jinked to get the full picture. This time he was higher up and looked for his porch feeder, even though three feeders were on poles in the garden and another hanging on the porch, on the far right. "OK, I will fill yours soon."

Birds have found humans to be easily trained. Hummingbirds are the bravest birds, the most unusual in size and habit, and fun to feed. I can stand almost under the porch feeder and watch the bird buzz its wings to go from port to port. When I look into a tree to find a songbird, it flies away. No wonder people dote on hummingbirds and let the rest fend for themselves.

As St. Paul observed, sowing sparingly means reaping sparingly, but sowing bountifully will lead to bountiful harvests. We always have something blooming, so the beneficial insects and hummingbirds have something to eat.

 Chaste Tree blooms are so rich in color that everyone asks, "What is that?"

Bob referenced my "weed garden," looking for a response, but he also asks about the latest blooms. The allegedly dead Chaste Tree - dried up but revived last year - burst into bloom a short time ago, and he said, "What is that on the border?" Butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds were working over the deep blue flowers. "Another weed in bloom, Sarge." I told him the history of the shrub, raised to keep Medieval monks properly medicated, still used today for hormone cycles. He said, "Please print that so I can tell my relatives."

He was also struck by the majestic growth of Joe Pye Weed, especially when the one planted in the shade bloomed late (with Chaste Tree) and attracted butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees.

 Joe Pye can be criticized for being ungainly, spindly, slow to bloom, and long in going to seed - but it is the first plant to sell out  at supplies each time.

Some WELS journalism highlights:

1. In Milwaukee, headquarters of Holy Mother WELS, Pastor Tabor murders his wife with the help of his mistress, moves to a new call in Escanaba, Wisconsin. Tabor was received into WELS in spite of general knowledge Cape Girardeau that he was an adulterer with a bastard child. WELS was silent.
2. District Pope Ed Werner routinely molested girls in his congregation for 20+ years. All the pastors knew. He was finally arrested. WELS lied about why. When he was convicted, WELS was silent.
3. Vicar Scott Zerbe had an affair with a minor child in Pastor Fred Adrian's congregation. Zerbe was convicted. WELS was silent.
4. WELS teacher Al Just murdered his wife in Phoenix, but claimed she rolled over a steak knife many times in her sleep. WELS defended him, sent people to support him, with DMLC President Huebner serving as a character witness. Just married his children's baby-sitter while in the slammer, got divorced from her, and now participates in WELS congregational life. He was seen with a youth group, but WELS was silent.
5. Floyd Stolzenburg was forced to resign from the LCMS ministry on a Saturday. The DP preached for him on Sunday. His wife divorced him - for cause. WELS embraced him and made him a Church Growth consultant in Columbus, Ohio. When he and divorced pastor Roger Zehms made a thorough mess of things, VP Paul Kuske wrote him a letter of recommendation to serve as pastor of Emmanuel, Columbus. So did WELS pastor Schumann. Stolzenburg never joined WELS but played the role of a WELS pastor - but WELS was silent.
6. A synodical VP propositioned a woman in the process of providing pastoral counselling. He was forced to resign from the ministry and lied about it. Why was his slot suddenly vacant. WELS was silent.
7. Vast amounts of money came to WELS via the Schwan Foundation, but WELS became insolvent. What happened to all the loot? WELS was silent.

We are all looking forward to honest journalism standards in WELS. Where would we find that? In FIC? The synod is too ashamed of the name Lutheran to have it in the magazine title. We are all ashamed together, Rev. Mouse. I am just as ashamed as you - that you are a Lutheran.

WELS-ELS-LCMS took millions in guilt-money from Marvin Schwan, whose wife killed herself after reading about their divorce in Forbes magazine. All three synods were silent.

Jeske's ELCA-LCMS-WELS-ELS Sodom and Gomorrah Conference Has Video Backup - Plagiarized Party in the MLC, 2009 Has a New Link for Fans

 The cover-up and lies were typical of WELS. I was a villain for posting the link, but it was requested by a WELS layman who was sickened by the tape.

 "Party in the MLC" was copied, frame by frame, from a video produced - Party in the Fire Island Pines (FIP) - by gays. These WELS college guys claimed they did not know that. Here are a link to those posts.

 WELS gave every single doofus a divine call, a way of continuing the cross-dressing and ambiguous culture of the sect, saying "Attaboy. We are behind you, even if that makes you...uncomfortable."

Party in the MLC has reappeared. The famous still begins as the lead for the video. Someone has given the foreign site the original video, not a copy of a copy, as their Facebook version was, dubbed - "Bring Back Party in the MLC." That page existed for a long time before the page was euthanized.

That introductory still is high quality, so someone put in some time to revive this disgrace and convey the intended message. In addition, the link has reached the sect, perhaps through the network that made it possible in the first place.

Party is not an anomaly in WELS. The college students created other obnoxious, unfunny, amateurish videos, some kind of a dorm contest. They were eventually discouraged from uploading to YouTube. Faculty were overheard discussing how to do something without it getting posted on Ichabod. They promptly denied saying that, which was also overhead and passed on to moi.

The misnamed Mission Day at the college went into secrecy the same way. The first one was wide open, allowing me to discuss the Fulleroid false teachers gathered together to brainwash the Martin Luther College students. The next year I used a secret list, passed on to me through various secretive channels, using passwords, secret codes, signs, and handshakes. The third year in a row, the list was harder to obtain than fresh fish at a Midwestern restaurant.

 Mark Jeske's Steerage Commitee - sic - (that is how they spell committee each year) picked this radical gay activist from ELCA as one of the main speakers.

2019 Change or Die Conference

The leaders of this fiasco - LCMS-WELS-ELCA - are showing they can move ahead with the ELCA agenda and say with pan-synodical Jeske - Change or Die!

WELS-LCMS parents - is this where your want your children to go to school - aping the worst of Hollywood and the Fire Island Pines?

 This symbol with the ambiguous cross - or ankh - is found on ELCA seminary websites. Officially, in ELCA, Jesus is not the only way of salvation. WELS and LCMS are fine with that, apparently.
