Big Classroom - Two Days - 3,300+ Views. Planning The Bible Book:
The KJV Reborn for Those Who Love the Word of God

Reopening in a Few Years. Mrs. Ichabod noticed the Masonic sign above.

The Covid panic has had a profound effect, primarily in shutting down schools and churches. The effect on churches has been like pressing the gas pedal when the car is sputtering, then hearing a clatter, a wheeze, and a stall. We have learned that clergy are docile, allergic to the First Amendment, and eager to take the year off while getting paid.

Mrs. Ichabod and I were watching a crime show, and she asked about fine points in the dialogue. I said, "I don't know. I am planning the book." She said, "I can tell."

I am working on the Christology of the Bible - a uniting theme, not a three-volume set. Next is a treatment of the Psalms.

For the New Testament, I will explain the unifying theme of Abraham, Genesis 15:6, and faith in Christ.

After that will be a brief history of the Bible, leading up to Erasmus, Luther's Bible, Tyndale, and the KJV.

I will have material on the efficacy of the Word and the value of the KJV as one of two foundation stones (including Oxford aka Shakespeare) for the English language, just as Luther's Bible is the basis for the German language. Those classic Bibles did invent the language but established their style as the standard of excellence.

The last part of The Bible Book is mostly written. The great divide in the two sections will be
  1. The Bible for the Common People (as expressed by Erasmus, Luther, and Tyndale) versus
  2. The Bible for the Bogus Experts (exemplified by Tischendorf, Westcott, Hort, Aland, and Nida).
