Why Are Lutherans Failing as Fast as Fuller Seminary?
A Shorter Version on Apostasy

Olson denied going to Fuller Seminary, as did Valleskey and Bivens. WELS GA hazing teaches seminarians how to lie and bully others as pastors.

Only Olson could wear a church stole with a Geneva gown, sporting doctoral stripes he never earned. A DMin is an STM, not an academic doctorate.

This passage came up in a graphic by Norma A. Boeckler, and this explains the apostasy problem in a few verses. Because Fuller Seminary and Trinity Divinity and Willow Crick did not teach faith but success, they have created a generation of no-good-niks who should be selling bitcoin or miracle wart removal lotions.

KJV 4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. 2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. 3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

Lenski, Hebrews, Chapter IV.
The Attractive Promise:
Those Who Believe Enter into God’s Rest,
Chapter 4, The Rest Promised to Faith, 1-5.

The passage quoted from the psalm (3:7-11) is full of threatening and thus serves as a warning; but in this very threat there lies the most blessed promise, which the writer uses with equal effect to make his readers firm and to stop their wavering. He thus uses both law and gospel in the true, evangelical way and becomes a model that we may well follow.

From Lenski's Hebrews, p. 128.

“But” the sad and tragic thing was that “the Word of the hearing (qualitative genitive: the Word they heard) did not profit them, not having mixed itself by faith with those who heard.” They had it but did not believe it. “It did not profit” is the historical aorist and summarizes 3 :7-19. The point stressed is the hearing: “the Word of the hearing,” “they who heard," reverting to the psalm (3:8) : “if you should hear his voice.” We should note that “promise” and “telling good tidings" (v. 1, 2) certainly involve the thought that both be heard. But not only heard: the voice of his Word heard, the promise and good tidings heard, must also be believed. Therein the Jews of the Exodus failed so tragically: they heard the promise of God’s rest, all that the glad tidings about this rest contained, but they hardened their hearts (3:8, etc.), they refused to believe and thus lost both the earthly and the heavenly Canaan.

1977! - and no apologies after 45 years of unfaith blundering?!

Snip and Clip the Creation Garden

The white and the Sweetheart Caladiums were a bit grassy, so I trimmed them all today with scissors. More photos soon.

I have been gradually cutting the grassy wisps from the new flowers at the foot of our front porch. Sassy often sits just below us as we talk, drink coffee, and toss her treats. She has dug up a bulb or two, probably by sniffing, and found some Milkbones she neglected. Rain has not been an issue.

One day a memorial was created for Christina. Ranger Bob came by and made an area at the entrance of the porch for her photo from the cemetery, plus some unicorns, and Caladiums.

Christina loved Caladiums and had me buy the little nuggets every year.

I was waiting for a delivery and Sassy wanted to enjoy the cooler evening air, so we went out together. When she was warm, she bulled her way back into the house.

I sat on the concrete driveway and snipped away with ordinary scissors. Electric clippers cut too much too fast. I felt like a barber cleaning up the garden, a few strands at a time.

Weeds do not like to be trimmed. Their advantage is elbowing (or grassing) aside the big plants. When I snip them low, their dried up remains help fertilize and deny regrowth to some extent. Many of my plants have rapid growth, Joe Pye most of all. I had to cut enough Joe Pye to let one rose get some sun and bloom even more. Bee Balm also tried to make another rose disappear underneath its aggressive growth.

Christina found my first eight roses on QVC ($8 each, freight included). She wanted rose fragrance at the door. Later she decreed that the front yard be all roses. Everyone loves Hummingbirds, so they were featured in many plantings - Hostas, Joe Pye, Clethra, and the feeders. Butterfly plants are usually good for Hummingbirds too, and bees love any plant they can mine for food.

I should have Monarch butterflies this year, since some new plants are for breeding Monarchs-alone. The Butterfly Garden (the sunniest part of the property) has two Joe Pye Weeds, at least one Butterfly Weed, Bee Balm, Violets, and I hope a few other plants.

The backyard gardens are multiplying, as long as they are relatively care-free. Team Hagar moved Hostas from the Rose Garden, where they were roasting in the sun, to shady areas. Hostas have four or five areas for growing now. The new Joe Pye Weeds look too tiny, but they will be aggressive and shooting up next year.

My biggest advance this year will be Scarlet Bee Balms, popular for attracting Hummingbirds. I have several places for them to thrive, including next to the porch.

This is all accumulated labor, and well worth it. God's creation is visible everywhere and makes a little work so much worthwhile. I enjoy hearing people ask, "What's that?" and "What is the name of that rose?"

So far, no real damage has appeared from Japanese beetles.

The Relationship Between Doctrine and Salvation

Read this from the back of the Otten book - and marvel at the hypocrisy of Otten-Hale, Inc.

From time to time someone asks me about doctrine related to salvation.

KJV 1 Thessalonians 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away [apostasy] first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

The LCMS-WELS-ELS-CLC have violated - for decades - the two basic principles written by Walter Maier and quoted by Herman Otten:

  • The inerrancy of the Scriptures - look closely at that money-maker the Beck Bible, sold by Otten-Hale, even though it kisses up to Vaticanus and Sinaiticus. So do all the other modern Bibles, including the precious New KJV. Test: do the modern paraphrases refer the reader to the missing verses all found in the KJV but deleted by them? Ha!
  • Justification by Faith - is a concept that drives Hale and the rest of the gang peyote-weed wild with anger.
Since someone asked, I would call these principles basic to salvation. If there is no clear Biblical revelation, but one that must be massaged and changed every few months, then God has not preserved His Word as He promised. Thus we see that all the current Lutheran leaders are apostates

The Maier clan was suppressed by the toxic Preus-Otten-Scaer combo.

Karl Barth (b. 1886) was really a child of the 19th century, when every smart theologian was thrilled with evolution and trying to find a way around the clarity of the Scriptures. Barth - a Calvinist/Marxist, - and his live-in Marxist mistress - developed ways to wrap Biblical phrases around their radical agenda. They had to make dogma appealing, so they combined Calvinist rationalism with their favorite philosophy.

Most will not accept this, but the world's Christian leaders, whether bureaucrats or professors, are apostates grown from Barth's Great Leap Forward. The Creeds mean very little to the leaders, who have been stored and fermented in Jesus being a teacher who died on the cross and became a myth to His followers.

We are living in the Great Apostasy. Read KJV 2 Thessalonians 2 for the plot. This may last a few years or centuries but all the signs are there. Some will hear the Gospel and believe, but very little Gospel - only marketing and Marxism - comes from the predestined and predestinating clergy.

KJV 2 Thessalonians 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. [the pope]

5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: [church growth and Marxist activism]

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
[look at how smug and superior they are]

13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. [Note that the Steadfast Lutherans reject the Bible, Luther, and the Book of Concord, thus they are the Dead Last Lutherans]

16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

17 Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.

Never criticize a pimp, and Walther was surely the enabler of Bishop Stephan's many trysts with young ladies of his St. Louis and Perryville cult. Stephan had syphilis and spread it to the young ladies. That fact was used by Walther for the riot that stole Stephan's home, land, gold, books, and personal possessions. Read it all in Walther's Pastoral Theology!
