"Though some may want to dismiss her as a crackpot loon, Groen isn’t a nobody, even though it wouldn’t matter if she were. Instead, she continues to rise in the ranks through the ELCA. Four years ago, she was elected to the Discipline Committee of the Delaware-Maryland Synod, where she enjoys a close friendship with the Bishop. She has also spoken on at least one panel with Elizabeth Eaton, the head of the ELCA. Those in power know who she is and how she behaves and are entirely and utterly supportive."
