Someone phoned to laugh about CHURCH GROWTH! He said, "The Growthers are gone! Vanished! I can't name them all! And where are the fancy buildings and names?"
He added, "You did it, Greg!"
In fact, they did it to themselves and gloried in their glory, boasting without shame. That great GROWTHER lost his special location, his clergy, his wife - but not his big pile of cash.
A decent academic library can easily identify dozens of those ashes of hubris. But they are 99% gone.
I simply observed their absence of Biblical teaching, including the denominations. The gullible ones were sure to follow their heroes.
