Morning Chapel at Luther Seminary, ELCA, Last Month

Yes, I could have pasted the code to let everyone watch and listen to a chapel talk at Luther Seminary, ELCA, last month.

Just like the installation of the new president of the seminary, the gathering on April 5 was appallingly small. Everyone must wonder, "If the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago is selling their property to Rockefeller's U. of Chicago, how much longer can Luther Seminary last?"

"Make sure your diversity is selective."

They only have one message, so there is no need to broadcast it. The Walmart Public Education system in NW Arkansas was promoting "37 genders" to young children years ago.

Announcing your (thine) pronouns is the new mark of being cool for the ultra-Left. The vanguard is "equity, diversity, inclusion" but the opposite of what those terms mean. The rearguard is "You are insensitive, racist, and _____ phobic." Fill in the blank!

As Herman Melville wrote,

What could be more full of meaning?- for the pulpit is ever this earth’s foremost part; all the rest comes in its rear; the pulpit leads the world. From thence it is the storm of God’s quick wrath is first descried, and the bow must bear the earliest brunt. From thence it is the God of breezes fair or foul is first invoked for favorable winds. Yes, the world’s a ship on its passage out, and not a voyage complete; and the pulpit is its prow.

Herman Melville, Moby Dick, Chapter 8

 ELCIC Bishop Johnson, Canadian, eh?

Equity in ELCA means the top two positions are reserved for women.

Nadia is no longer an ELCA pastor, but her parish is considered a model for the future.

This happened, a surprise, at an ELCA regional meeting, doubtless a weak attempt to outdo the displays in WELS.
