1 Corinthians 11
23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.
27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

John 13
Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;
Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.
Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?
Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.
Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.
10 Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.
11 For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.
12 So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?
13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

The Love of God Gave Us Freedom from Tyrants

Normally, a sermon is built on a passage from the Scriptures and the message in those verses. Imagine this - which happened among our ancestors -
1. The Bible is only found in the pulpit and is written in Latin.
2. It is illegal, having a death penalty - to translate the Bible from Latin or its original languages - into our language.
3. All laws are based upon royalty and the Church leaders, so there are no human rights, only royal and church laws.
4. People are slaves to the monarch and the Church.
5. Those who disobey the rules about the Bible are put in miserable prisons, tortured, and burned at the stake.

We often talk about Luther during the Reformation, or at least sell cheap trinkets in his name, but there is one who is the Reformer's equal in the area of the Bible and translating it into the common tongue.

William Tyndale went to Oxford college when he was 12 years old and stayed for 8 years. In addition, he studied at Cambridge and became an expert in many languages. In a dispute with another clergyman, he said, ""I defy the Pope and all his laws; and if God spares my life, ere many years, I will cause the boy that driveth the plow to know more of the Scriptures than thou dost!"

Note the meaning behind "the boy that drives the plow." He was intending to translate the Bible expressly for those who could not read. Tyndale used one-syllable words and simple expressions, to give us the majestic King James Bible admired by all the great writers and universities, including Harvard. Note some of the praise given to the KJV, linked here.

That jumps ahead from Tyndale the potential translator to the KJV requested so that all the pulpit Bibles would be the same. Tyndale's opponent was King Henry VIII, loyal to the Pope (when he wanted to be) and an enemy of all heretics (by definition, anyone who opposed the Pope).

Tyndale went to Europe where he could print Bibles without being stopped or killed, but he began with Greek (New Testament) and Hebrew (Old Testament). Tyndale moved around to remain alive and get Greek New Testaments printed. He lived near Luther for a time but the facts are limited about how much he knew Luther and the Reformer's associates. Luther's work with the Bible and Tyndale's were similar in being accomplished by language experts of the highest ability, men who in effect created their language via the Bible and Shakespeare. (There is a German translated Shakespeare, which is almost as foundational as the English original.)

Tyndale used tactics to smuggle  Greek and English versions into England, which were a hot commodity in a time when people longed for freedom and the truth of God's Word. One English church leaders raved against Tyndale and burned an enormous pile of Tyndale's Bible outside. This appalled people, who were used to people and objects being burned. This was a first - burning the Bible itself, the holy Word of God. That blasphemy, speaking against God Himself, marked a turning point in honoring the English Bible and giving freedom to the average person, demoting the royalty and the priesthood as dictators, slave-drivers, and torturers.

King Henry VIII eventually sent a false friend to seek out Tyndale and become friends in an attempt to arrest and bring him back to England for burning at the stake. (Synod leaders do the same with false friends, but they are not allowed to use capital punishment, thanks to Tyndale.)

He died at the stake, shouting, "Lord open the King's eyes!" in 1536. Edward VI, and Bloody Mary's reign came soon after, then Queen Elizabeth, then King James. Roughly 75% of the KJV Old and New Testaments came from Tyndale. His name was not mentioned in any Bible, but his work was there to prove how the greatest translator created a Bible for the boy at the plow, so that worker could remember and recite the Word of God.

Freedom of religion shook off the chains and demands of the Pope, so England became a Protestant country, and generated a Protestant empire around the world.

Persecution by the Roman Catholics led to people coming to America where they could enjoy religious freedom. The spark was Tyndale, who gave his life so we could have the freedom to read the Bible in our own language, not in Latin, not distorted by the false texts behind the Roman Catholic Bible, manufactured by the Jesuits - Rheims-Douai, where Genesis 3:15 became the foot of Mary, the "cloud-shaped foot" at Mt. Carmel.

What do hundreds of popes and micro-bishops demand now? They want any translation but the Tyndale/KJV. They love every text except the Masoretic Old Testament and the Apostolic (Textus Receptus or Byzantine) New Testament.

They have increased confusion and decreased faith.

Let's vote on it. The Bible most used and appreciated is the King James Version. Tyndale brought the pure Word of God into the English language and that KJV brings us to Christ, and Christ to us.

Lutheran Layman Tom Fisher - On Holy Communion

Dear Pastor Jackson,

Tomorrow is Maundy Thursday, the day Christ ate the Passover and instituted Holy Communion as his last will and testament for us sinners. Martin Luther said, "So in this matter, you must above else take heed to your heart, that you believe the words of Christ, and admit their truth, when He says to you and to all, 'This is my blood, a new testament, by which I bequeath to you forgiveness of all sins and eternal life.'" (Martin Luther, LW, Vol 35, pg. 88)  I believe this with all my heart.

That little word 'testament' is most precious for me.  Martin Luther said, "That little word 'testament' is a short summary of all God's wonder and grace fulfilled for us in Christ." (Martin Luther, LW, Vol. 35, pg. 84)

Now imagine you are in the African bush at night listening to the haunting yells of hyenas on a kill. LCMS, WELS, ELCA are just like the African bush at night. Many of their pastors are hyenas of hell seeking to change Christ's Last Will and Testament into a Calvinistic covenant.

To my knowledge LCMS is the only synod that retains the word 'testament' in the liturgy for the Lord's Supper. An extremely mangy and noisy hyena of hell at Ft. Wayne seminary works relentlessly to get rid of that little word 'testament' in Holy Communion. He and others have created so much doubt and uncertainty in the word of God in Holy Communion.

Martin Chemnitz, the second Luther, has sharp words of rebuke for all you mangy hyenas of hell throughout LCMS, WELS, ELCA.  Martin Chemnitz says, "For since Christ instituted His supper in the form of a testament, it is also not allowed at another time to distort even a man's covenant, if it is confirmed, by adding or subtracting. How much greater sin it is therefore, to change or mutilate the testament of the Son of God." (Martin Chemnitz, Ministry, Word, and Sacrament; CPH, 1981, pg. 122)

God's Word must be taken as a whole. Creating doubt in one part destroys a true understanding of any of God's Word. For example Holy Communion ties into Hebrews 9:15-17 "And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth." So Christ puts his last will and testament into force for us by His death.

Hyenas of hell in LCMS, WELS ,ELCA are vile popes exalting themselves above Luther, Chemnitz and Christ himself.  Professor Nils Dahl, PhD, will have none of this nonsense when he asserted, " The text! The text! We have the text!" (See pg. 189, King James Version, Gregory L Jackson, PhD, ISBN 9798429093451). Yes we have the text: King James Bible, Luther's Bible and their foundation the TEXTUS RECEPTUS. Do you really want to speak a word against the Holy Ghost who has chosen these Bibles for the reformation and especially now? Remember God the Holy Ghost REJECTED Vaticanus and all corrupt translations from it during the reformation.

***
GJ - Tom's post, above, reminded me that the Chicago Interfaith Trolley is rolling today. People will visit various religions, and ELCA's seminary in Chicago - soon to move to a Catholic campus - is sponsoring and promoting it.

The apostate Lutherans love every religion but their own, every denomination but their own. WELS is especially affectionate toward the Calvinists while the LCMS loves Rome and the Calvinists. Their only dislikes are the KJV, the Apostolic Text (Textus Receptus), and Luther.

Lutheranlibrary.org - without paid ads - consistently dominates the CPH on Google. CPH has become a vanity press operation for faculty seeking tenure and positions on the Roman/Calvinist doctrinal review board.

Tom Fisher - Lutheran Layman - On the True Word of God

All Time Ichabod Views

Satan's lies always weaken the certainty of what God has said. God told Adam not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil "for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely  (most certainly) die." (Gen. 2:17)

Satan lied to Eve when he attacked the certainty of God's word when he said, "Ye shall not surely (most certainly) die."  What better way for Satan to teach lies and false doctrine than by attacking the text of God's Word itself and replacing it with a "more accurate" but fraudulent text (See pg. 176, The King James Version, Gregory L. Jackson, PhD, ISBN 9798429093451) full of errors, omissions, and false doctrine.

Satan has created so much uncertainty and doubt in the pure reformation text (Greek TEXTUS RECEPTUS) that uncertainty and doubt, and unbelief prevail especially among Lutheran pastors, vice presidents and presidents and seminary professors. "We do NOT have the original autographs", they wail in unbelief.  By this they mean to promote the ultimate uncertainty and doubt: Uncertainty and doubt in the pure reformation text (TEXTUS RECEPTUS, King James Bible).

Professor Nils Dahl, PhD, would have none of this uncertainty, and doubt in God's Word. "The text! The text! We have the text! he confidently asserted (See pg. 189, The King James Version. Gregory L. Jackson, PhD)

Every true Christian believes professor Nils Dahl's assertion is most certainly true. God has most certainly promised to perfectly preserve and publish  every word He inspired his holy prophets and Apostles to write.
  • "The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever." (Psalm 12:6,7)
  • "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." (Matthew 24:35; Mark 13:31; Luke 21:33) He has magnified his words above all his name. "...for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name." (Psalm 138:2)
  • His word is forever settled in heaven. "For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven." (Psalm 119:89)

Their 150 year old fraudulent Greek New Testament, secretly promoted for 10 years, with no footnotes to indicate their fake sources, is the basis for the Evil Four (RSV, NRSV, ESV, NIV) plus One (Beck Bible, the Christian News Cash Cow).

Blasphemy Part Three -
Who Infused the LCMS-WELS-ELS with Objective (Faithless) Justification?
Answer - Pietists and Universalists

Bishop Martin Stephan, STD and Bishop Randy DeJaynes, LCA.
Parts 1, 2, and 3 here.

Even the most dense can agree that ELCA is the fool's gold standard of Lutherdom today. That  merger of mergers has gathered the LCMS-WELS-ELS under his/her/its wings and laid down the rules for enjoying Thrivent money and programs.

ELCA is the bellweather in declaring that everyone is born forgiven because of God's grace. That comes from two sources - the Pietists and the rationalists.

Rambach was the Halle University hymn writer (see The Lutheran Hymnal, #298) who wrote these words, treasured by Jay Webber, among others. Stephan studied at Halle and was a Pietist.

Walther was a Pietist and his friends followed one Pietist guru, then Stephan after their earlier leader moved away and died. Walther was thrilled with the letter Stephan wrote him and never drifted from that dogma. After losing their earlier guru, they followed Stephan all the way to America, after he was convicted of consorting with young women and misuse of church funds.

Later, Walther was thrilled with the double justification terms used by the Calvinist translator of Knapp, another Halle University theologian, one much admired in America and translated into English, a standard work for over 90 years.

The Reformed-Lutheran union movement enjoyed the peaceful physical and doctrinal merger of the two schools of thought. The Woods translation fostered the use of Objective Justification and Subjective Justification, with OJ dominating.

Rationalism, born at Halle and other places, gravitated toward God's grace acting without means (Word and Sacrament) and saving the entire world back to Adam and Eve.

Objective (Faithless) Justification - Verbatim Email

You say you read a lot of Walther?

"Is it possible to come back from the point of no return??

Your interpretation of the clear Greek to promote your narrative is moronic.  Hoi polloi is used twice.  It means the same group of people.  If that group of people was made sinners through Adam, then it is all people.  You know this.  The Greek says these same people are made righteous by the One Man Jesus.  A person either believes this or not.

Stop soiling yourself in public on your blog.

The Blasphemy Essay - Part Two

Parts 1 and 2 are linked here.

Part Two - Alleged Scripture Support for Objective (Faithless) Justification

"Scripture teaches that God has already declared the whole world to be righteous in Christ, Rom. 5:19; 2 Cor. 5:18-21; Rom. 4:25; that therefore not for the sake of their good works, but without the works of the Law, by grace, for Christ's sake, He justifies, that is, accounts as righteous, all those who believe, accept, and rely on, the fact that for Christ's sake their sins are forgiven." (LCMS Brief Statement, 1932)

In the first part I noted how fatuous the LCMS claim was - and is - that Romans 4:25 teaches Objective (Faithless) Justification when the complete sentence, Romans chapter 4 itself, and Romans teaches Justification by Faith.

KJV Romans 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

There is nothing faithless about this verse, unless one decides that "many" means "all" - a foolish and lame strategy promoted by WELS and other sectarians. That is a foolish gesture on their part, because "all" puts them in the category of Universalism - all are saved - and ELCA, their ministry partner.

Word and Witness Audio Tape - GRACE!

The Lutheran Church in America had a Word and Witness program designed to be a modernized version of another one. They offered audio tapes too - remember them - and one defined the LCA quite well. The narrator said with venomous anger in his voice, "The media evangelists have one great problem in their work. They have no concept of GRACE!" He meant that forgiveness from Christ could not be connected to faith, because "all forgiven" meant "all received by grace, without faith."

Various toxic dogmas have erased the Means of Grace from the thoughts of modernistic, paganistic Lutherans. Simply put, the Word is invisible  - teaching and preaching - and also visible - Holy Baptism and Holy Communion. The term "means" is also taught as "instruments." The Gospel Word is the instrument by which faith in Christ is planted in our hearts and strengthened in our worship and studies. Because the Holy Spirit always works with the Word and never apart from the Word, we know that no one can legitimately make claims which are not found or proclaimed in the Scriptures.

KJV 2 Corinthians 5:18-21

KJV 2 Corinthians 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

The Objective (Faithless) Justification fanatics do not use the above quotation with the pivotal Romans passage which summarizes chapter 4. Romans 5:1-2 is really a summary of Romans 4, as shown by the transition - therefore -

KJV Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Paul does not mean or even imply that Christ taking on the sins of the world equals the entire world being forgiven and saved (even back to Adam) as a result. Yet the chowder-heads of Church Growth, Objective (Faithless) Justification, and other maladies demand that their slogans be accepted as Biblical truths.

Often added to this group of citations is 1 Timothy 3:16, an unlikely candidate but still enrolled in the cavalcade of Biblical blunders.

KJV 1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:

  1. God was manifest in the flesh,
  2. justified in the Spirit,
  3. seen of angels,
  4. preached unto the Gentiles,
  5. believed on in the world,
  6. received up into glory.

The Pietists, who tried and failed to blend Lutheran doctrine with Calvinism, used "justified in the Spirit" as the world being absolved of sin the moment Christ rose from the grave. But the justification of Jesus Christ was different from Justification by Faith by mortal men. The resurrection of the Son of God proved He had committed no sin, because death is the mark of Adam. Turning the resurrection into world absolution may be marvelous remedy for the Law-oriented ELCA Enthusiasts and the Walther worshiping Midwestern Pietists, but the inerrant Word does not allow Universalist carpet-baggers.

God's Creation Food Is the Best Medicine - Statins Interfere with the Body And Often Have Terrible Side Effects

The serious side of medicine (bottom row) - "Try this. Maybe it will work. Kickbacks from Big Pharma? You reading Ichabod or something?"

What they are thinking (top row) - "Nyuk, yuk, yuk! We are going to Vegas on the profits!"

Hello Pastor Jackson

On your blog, you've written about how eating walnuts may reduce one's cholesterol numbers. I would like to relate my experience with this.

I have a routine physical exam each year. Over the years, my cholesterol numbers have increased. In 2022, my total cholesterol number was 221. "High" cholesterol begins at 200. My doctor said that if my cholesterol number remained at this level or increased, I would need to start taking statin drugs to reduce it.

In January as part of my New Year's Resolutions I added walnuts to my diet. Each week I bought a 14 oz can of shelled walnuts. I ate some walnuts with each meal and I ate walnuts in between meals as a snack.

I had lab blood work done at the end of March. It showed a total cholesterol number of 157. This represents a reduction of 28% from 2022 and it puts my cholesterol number into the "optimal" range. I didn't change my lifestyle or take any cholesterol lowering drugs, so the reduction in total cholesterol can be attributed only to adding walnuts to my diet.

***
GJ - A member sent me two pounds of walnuts because his doctor said, "Eat walnuts for your heart." I began eating them... on ice cream. My cholesterol dropped to normal because the good side of walnuts (heavy oil) drags the bad kind out (the light, sticky jamming the veins cholesterol). The ice cream was not helping, so I moved to beans, greens, vegetables, nuts, and seeds. My blood sugar became normal, I lost 35 pounds, and my blood pressure decreased.

Very few medicines cure. At best they usually can only have some effect on the symptoms.

Ranking the Rank Discussion Boreds

I was trying to figure out which is the worst Lutheran discussion site. I realized how bad they were in their own unique, boring, cowardly ways.

ALPBODB

ELCA Pastor Steve Tibbets had 10,000 posts published on ALPBODB before his arrest.

The American Lutheran Publicity Bureau Online Discussion Board has to be the worst in its own special way, starting with its name, long enough to be a government agency. If they do not want to discuss something significant, they bury it in a sudden burst of posts about nothing in particular. Avoidance is their true nature. When a member of the group, with 10,000 posts, was arrested and jailed, no one thought to mention it. However, I have seen them reach 30 pages about nothing in particular. No matter what the topic, they drift off in many directions at once. Rolf Preus loves to argue with people and keeps the boredom at peak levels.

LutherQuest

Do not look now, but Dr. Robert Preus quoted this in Justification and Rome, and his sons failed to comprehend this repudiation of Objective (Faithless) Justification.

LutherQuest, still looking for Luther and not finding him, also hosts Rolf Preus. He protects the family name and self-publishing business. The Preus inter-synodical team members are the only clan with their own private publishing company, perhaps merely to keep all their cousins' names straight. One or two LQ members actually post interesting, factual, referenced material. However, several anonymous sources yak endlessly. If they keep practicing their self-involvement, they could move up to ALPB Online Discussion Board debates, perfect for inducing deep sleep and mild nightmares.

Christian News, aka Calvinist News, has a unique place in yellow journalism. Herman and Grace Otten played both sides of many debates, eager to keep everyone buying the tabloid. Some realize the utter hypocrisy of LCMS politics, starting with Jack Preus (Rolf's uncle). CN was perfect for running for synod president but became hemlock each time the CN lover was elected to that office -

  • Jack Preus,
  • Ralph Bohlmann,
  • Al Barry,
  • Gerald Kieschnick,
  • Matt the Fatt Harrison.

I was threatened by WELS for writing hundreds of CN articles, but WELS liked to send their own articles and get them published in CN. The CLC had the same policy, Menton screaming at me for publishing in CN, but sending bunches there - written by himself. CLC pastors did the same without the shouting. The former CLC president is now a regular writer for Hale's CN, a great example of highly polished hypocrisy. The CLC is one big, miserable, inbred family. Their college game is (seriously, folks) - "How am I related to you?" Not "Am I" but "How am I?"

Pastor Hair-Gel has a blog, but no one reads it. His Facebook rants were so bad, he erased them seconds later (but I copied them even faster).

BedFast Steadfast Lutherans

This horrible waste of repeat-after-me dogmatics includes Rolf Preus and some of his relatives too. I scanned the list of authors and found an endless number of Objective (Faithless) Justification fans listed. When one of the baby Preus kids published a series of blurbs about faithless Justification, the mob indulged in the normal combination of personal attacks and resistance to Justification and Rome, written by Robert Preus and edited - but no longer quoted - by Rolf and Dan Preus. Blacklisting one's father must be a lowpoint in the Preus family inter-synodical accomplishments.

The only requirements for publishing in CN are 1) Promoting Fuller Seminary nonsense and Objective (Faithless) Justification.

PS - Intrepid Lutherans

This was a typical WELS operation, where people were gathered to discuss the issues and scattered by Chief Two-Face. The last post was in 2016, and the blog is still online.

The WELS Church Growth sorority has been quietly retiring for years. Their goals of total apostasy and servile blasphemy have been met - Management by Objectives - guided by their Father Below.

Jay Webber passed along the ELS nickname for Mordor - The Sausage Factory - where identical pork sausage is ground out annually.

 Imagine the future!
