WELS Leads the Way - To Calvin

"You call yourselves Orthodox Lutherans? or is that Confessional Lutherans?"

Dear Pastor Jackson,

Here are a few facts about Keith & Kristyn Getty, I had to dig for the facts because their theological position is not published.

They are associated to some degree with Calvinists/Baptists John Piper (Fuller Seminary Graduate), John MacArthur and Alistair Begg.

"They are from Ireland, Kristyn grew up in a Christian household, the eldest of four in Glengormley as a member of an independent church, while Keith was also the eldest or four, raised as a Christian in the Presbyterian Church in Lisburn".

I had never heard of them prior to reading Ichabod earlier this evening.

Event

Keith & Kristyn Getty & Friends Live in Concert!
On Saturday, April 14 at 7:00 PM, at The First Church of the Nazarene of Pasadena, the Brehm Center presents Keith and Kristyn Getty Live in Concert. Over the past decade, the Gettys have been at the forefront of the modern hymn movement, demonstrating the ability to successfully bridge the gap between the traditional and contemporary. That evening, accompanied by a full band plus the Fuller Vocal Ensemble, they'll be performing some of their best-known songs including "In Christ Alone," "The Power of the Cross," and "O Church, Arise."

Founded in 2001 to be a voice for integration of the arts in the lives of the church and its people, Fuller Theological Seminary's Brehm Center for Worship, Theology and the Arts celebrates its 10th anniversary with a weekend of events April 13-15 (to find out more, visit Brehm Center 10th Anniversary event listing).
