The LutherQueasies will not say "Justification by Faith," but they are Biblical, the blind leading the blind into a pit. |

"I ended up getting blocked and the whole discussion was deleted." Would have been interesting to read that discussion. I've been through the Baptist, then the Calvinist and their interesting attempts to explain away the clear teaching of Scripture. Now the ELDONA apparently follows in their footsteps. GJ - Justification by Faith is Baptist/Calvinist? No, but OJ is Adventist. Sam Huber loved his OJ.

The ELDoNA videos do not accurately summarize or explain objective justification. For example, the "objective" side of justification is not something that individuals "receive." Receiving talk is always subjective justification talk. This essay reviews the history of this teaching, and shows that it is what Lutherans have always taught, even if the contemporary terminology (developed in the 19th century) was not originally used. GJ - We are always ready to hear what Webber does not know about Biblical doctrine. Start early, Genesis 15. Abraham believed the Messianic Promise, and he was counted righteous - Justification by Faith.

In his Commentary on the Epistle to the Galatians, Luther writes, "They rob Christ of His glory as the Justifier of mankind..." GJ - No citation? Webber, without studying the Galatians Lectures, claimed the Reformer was OJ. Didn't Luther rock the church by writing, "We are justified without faith?" I don't remember that either. |
