Bug Spray or Creation Gardening?

Charlie Sue and I were coming back from the PARK! when a very tall guy came along and asked about where we lived (almost home, three houses away). He was dealing with pesticides so I talked about how I use insects to get rid of insect pests.

I explained a little about Creation Gardening and he became very curious. 

"Where is this from?"

I pointed at the sky - "God manages it."

He was very pleasant and glad to see a copy of Creation Gardening, which he took. "You have a PhD!" and soon - "You are a pastor!"

He tried for the "ask" a few times and told me he is a Mormon. He took the book along, and also noticed three photos in the garden - Christina, Bethany, and Erin Joy.

I expect a lot of people to stop and ask. We already have a trio of the best fragrant roses and other producers as well. It is a lot of fun to let people ask about Creation and to find out how easy it is, even with a little digging and mulching.

Bee balm attracts friendly bees.

Now roses glorify Creation.

17 Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation,

18 And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.

19 But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,

20 Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.

14. Secondly, if you have exercised yourself in this highest work and taught others the right way of truth, then make up your mind to keep on and serve everybody. Then the example of your life and good works follows; not that you can thereby merit and acquire anything, seeing you have beforehand everything that is necessary to salvation. Furthermore Christ now gives a command, he breathes upon the disciples and says: “Receive ye the Holy Spirit: whose soever sins ye forgive, they are forgiven unto them; whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.”

For they apply it to the civil government; this is not Christ’s thought; but he gives spiritual power and rule, and wishes to say this much: When ye speak a word concerning a sinner, it shall be spoken in heaven, and shall avail so much as if God himself spake it in heaven; for he is in your mouth, therefore it has the same force as if he himself spoke it.

Now it is always true, if Christ speaks a word, since he is Lord over sin and hell, and says to you: Thy sins are forgiven; then they must be forgiven and nothing can prevent it. Again, if he says: Thy sins shall not be forgiven thee; then they remain unforgiven, so that neither you, nor an angel, nor a saint, nor any creature, can forgive your sin, even if you martyred yourself to death.

16. This same power belongs to every Christian, since Christ has made us all partakers of his power and dominion; and here his is not a civil but a spiritual rule, and his Christians also rule spiritually. For he does not say:

This city, this country, this bishopric or kingdom you shall rule, as the pope does; but he says: Ye shall have power to forgive and to retain sins. Hence this power pertains to the conscience, so that by virtue of God’s Word I can pass judgment as to what the conscience can cleave to, so that against and above that no creature can do anything, neither sin, nor the world nor Satan. This is true power. But thereby no power is given me to rule over temporal matters, over a country and people, externally after the manner of civil governments, but a much higher and nobler power, which can in no sense be compared with it.

Otten to Preus Clan to Otten - Unbearable Light of Sects

 

I will not summarize - lest too many fall asleep on their keyboards. This is Rolf Preus being interviewed by Rolf Preus's son at Herman Otten's congregation in New Haven, Missouri, not to be confused with New Haven, Connecticut.

The avalanche of unread books is a colorful backdrop for an incredibly boring discussion. Imagine how little time was spent studying Justification by Faith, the Chief Article of Christianity. The Preus clan (Robert and Jack) made a living from being Waltherian, embracing Objective Faithless Justification in the name of Orthodoxy. The dogma of Bishop Martin Stephan, STD, infected his young women with syphilis while still in Germany and got tossed in due time by CFW Walther, who picked the right time to riot, grab the gold and property, and send Stephan to Illinois.

An earlier Preus wrote a book on Objective Faithless Justification, which is revered today by the same hooligans who left Stephan's congregation because he was under house arrest back in the old country. 

CFW Walther's riot in Perryville was based upon the fake, "sudden" discovery of Stephan's disease, which was already known before they landed in New Orleans.

The short version is this - Robert Preus' final book clearly teaches Justification by Faith, although there is some equivocation. Rolf and his brother supposedly edited the book post-mortem, only to make that go away so they could return to their precious OJ.

Jack Cascione missed the whole point about Robert Preus' last book; the link on his outrage is here. Rolf Preus stopped waving his father's book around, once I pointed out the obvious Justification by Faith passages therein.

Stephan wanted to be made bishop before they landed in New Orleans. The Waltherian Four - LCMS, WELS, ELS, CLC (sic) are surprisingly close to ELCA, its crafts and assaults. They continue their brain-dead pseudo-orthodoxy. Matt the Fatt has donned his CM Almy bishop gowns. The LCMS International Center is a subtle ironic joke about how they began (STD) and continue without remorse (Universal Objective Justification).
