Someone Missed the Point - No Surprise

Joel Lillo (Fox Valley AA Circuit) crowed that he tricked me into responding to him, because he deliberately spelled something wrong. Haha. That was funny. WELS has such a superior educational system that the leaders, like Gurgle, routinely get basic grammar and spelling wrong.

He boasted that he got me to obsess about this blog's statistics, so he missed the joke - on himself - entirely. My emphasis on statistics is based on Paul saying, "You suffer fools gladly, so I will be a fool."

That was last week's epistle, for those who use the historic pericopes. It is often used to complain about Paul bragging, but they miss Paul's satire of the false teachers boasting. The Pauline lesson is to emphasize we can only boast of the cross.

2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 


If a few people catch onto Justification by Faith in my lifetime, that is enough. There is just one doctrine, one Truth taught in the Scriptures. That involves such categories or topics as 

• the efficacy of the Word, 
• the Means of Grace, and 
• Justification by Faith, 

but they belong together and cannot be separated.

I am content that a few people already knew the Gospel from their own study and worship, only needing a little guidance about the clowns of Church Growth and UOJ - how the leaders have betrayed their Savior and rejected the Word of God.

I put the statistics up because no other blog ever dared to admit their feeble following. And yet, the false teachers promoted their dogma "Because God wants His Church to grow." And what have they done?

1. They emptied the pews.
2. They decimated the seminaries.
3. They sold absolution to rich adulterers.
4. They published their garbage and called it treasure, collecting all kinds of cash for nothing more than kindling.

I call them Church Gropers because so many of their lupine disciples have preyed upon the members. One does not need to outside the Fox Valley wolfpack to find them. But do not object to their drunken and loutish behavior! They will take you to court for telling the truth.

Is this not the Age of Apostasy?

How To Silence the False Teachers - Quote Them

Someone alerted me to another series of attacks on Facebook. The Pharisees do not like justification by faith, but they are too cowardly to address that directly.

Instead they find excuses to attack me, which I enjoy immensely, but they always fire away from under cover. Jack Kilcrease has done this while blocking me, so officially I cannot see his remarks.

Kilcrease erases his blundering remarks so much that "to kilcrease" is now synonymous with removing previous remarks because they have been refuted.

This time the thread  on Facebook's WELS Discussions was started by Joel Lillo, intemperate supporter of Ski, Glende, and others equally inept. He actually imagined I could not read his comments.

A note for the criminally stupid - Facebook is public. Publishing on Facebook means everything is available. The company sells the data to make money. Nothing is secret. No one can publish on the Net and say "But that was hidden away!" and have any credibility. That is especially true of Facebook, a social gathering place, not a secret society like WELS' GA (HB).

I began posting some of their ridiculous statements, which united the trans-Jennered Samantha Lily Birner with Jay Webber and Joel Lillo. They were all in agreement, with Edith Shallert as a bonus.

The initial crime? I quoted a story verbatim from Out Sports, about a recent homosexual student at Martin Luther College, WELS. Joel Lillo, who has no problems with abusing a lady staff member (if Ski and Glende are at fault) or suing the victims in court (if Ski, Glende, and staff are doing this), but Lillo was outraged by my quoting an article, word for word, and giving the actual link for verification.

To find fault with this, Lillo had to wring out this objection. I actually put the references to WELS in bold print! How dare I! As Shakespeare (Oxford) says, "A little pot is soon hot." I do that for many articles, especially verbose ones, to show why it is relevant to the readers. Lillo should know that much, since he reads the blog daily, after swearing off many times.

Quoting them on this blog silenced the grace-filled wit of these WELS-ELS clowns. Righteous anger turned to fear. Now their eructations are immortal and no longer hidden from view.

Nota bene - which is Latin for Listen up! - The esteemed writers on Facebook's WELS Discussions had no problems agreeing with Samantha Lily, but they poured out their wrath on me. Participants threatened to leave the page forever if I participated, but they gladly link arms with Samantha Lily.

They have stopped writing on their thread, now that they are public. One reader phoned to laugh at the Lillo-Tranny-Webber group of sniveling ninnies. He said, "Talk about dumb!"

Of all the misleading posts that Greg Jackson has ever published over at Ichabod, this has to be the most misleading. It is an article about a college football player who came out at Augsburg College. He wrote the headline and highlighted words to give the impression that his lifestyle was encourage by MLC. In fact, if you read the article, it becomes clear that there was no one at MLC who encouraged him. He states very pointedly that he kept his sexual orientation hidden at MLC. Why anyone take the man seriously is far beyond me.

Lillo whines about my posts and his inability to comment. I stopped comments because of his personal attacks against various Lutherans. His words were vicious, stupid, and ignorant, completely irrelevant as well. Other bloggers found him just as repulsive.

I often featured Lillo's eructations because he is typical of WELS clergy, including the DPs and Synod President. However, I am not about to let him spew his venom against others.

On WELS Discussions, when one of the insecure begins an attack, the others with emotional problems join in quickly. The more they write, the higher the page counts. So thanks and keep it up. It gives y'all something to talk about at your AA meetings.

Lillo's hero, Tim Glende, told the judge he was suing the victim of his and Ski's abuse "because of a blog in Arkansas." The judge said, "What?"

Fox Valley WELS Pastor Silenced for His Inane, Juvenile, Personal Attacks

From the fetid womb of Church and Change, Fox Valley's Joel Lillo emerges periodically to reveal his lack of education, manners, and scruples. He and his cowardly buddies had their own anonymous blogs a while back, yet they chose to retreat and erase without apologizing.

I enjoy his attacks against me, because they reflect the typical attitude of WELS clergy, who can only relate to their own kind and yet wonder why their abusive sect is shrinking so fast.

I have always erased Joel's comments whenever he wanted to use my blog for personal attacks against my friends. Other bloggers have told me Lillo is just as obnoxious on their websites. Therefore, I have simply ended all comments. Many people simply express their appreciation via email, doubtless because they do not to become targets for morons with an Internet connection and an old computer.

I avoid airing political opinions and current news on this blog. I stated that from the beginning.

Joel Lillo had nothing to say about Ski,
even professing total lack of knowledge of the abuse charges.

VP Zank supported Ski and became DP.
Lillo thought Zank was the cat's meow in church management.

The Black Sheep is right. The boorish behavior of WELS pastors is a direct result of the ministerial education system. If WELS members knew about the things that happen on the campus of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, with the knowledge and approval of the professors, they would be absolutely shocked.

I'll write more about this issue in the future.

Joel Had a Cow

Not long after telling me not "have a cow", it appears that Joel Lillo has had a cow and deleted all of the comments he has made here. I'll put the best construction on his actions and assume that he has seen the error of his ways and has recanted his non-Lutheran arguments.

The sad thing is, though, that Joel is not on the extreme liberal end of the WELS ministerium. His comments represent the views of the vast majority of WELS pastors.

Now I see that you've said the same thing (a little more nicely than Jackson, but then a rabid hyena would probably be nicer than Greg Jackson).

Why did I delete my comments? Is it because of a lack of fortitude? Is it because I had my clock cleaned? Is it because I've seen the errors of my ways?

No. No. and No.

The truth is, I'm tired. I'm tired of being virtually the only WELS pastor on any of these blogs who states the side of those in our circles who use contemporary forms of worship. The weird thing is that I don't use contemporary worship. It's not a good fit for my congregation. I rotate the four orders of service in Christian Worship on a monthly basis. I just believe that the form of worship (as supported by the Luther quote that I used and which I will requote at the end of this post) is a true adiaphora. Doctrine is not.

When I challenged you to find me an example of false doctrine amoung WELS pastors who make use of contemporary worship, I wasn't just referring to the teaching of salvation by grace through faith. I was also talking about proper teaching about the sacraments, close communion, infant baptism, the role of the Holy Spirit in conversion (opposed to making a decision for Christ), and the efficacy of the means of grace. I haven't seen any contemporary worship guys in our circles who even hint that they deny those teachings. I have not even seen an over emphasis of the third use of the law in sermons in CoWo services in the WELS. 

Like I said, I'm just tired of being (practically)the only one who's saying this on these "discussional" blog sites. I'm going to let others do it.

Thank you for illustrating my point. Regarding your "challenge," there have been several proofs offered over the years, but they are all explained away, and then ignored. There are examples of talking about "choosing to believe" (a subtle denial of the role of the Spirit in conversion and preservation), and of what God "needs" us to do (a subtle denial of the efficacy of the means of grace). The whole concept that the historic Christian pattern of worship is no longer good enough is a subtle denial of the efficacy of the means of grace (if we trust the Spirit to work through the Word, then why the need to chuck the liturgy, which is nothing but the Word?). I've heard a pastor in our midst express his fear (terror, really) that if he didn't reach someone with the Gospel, that they would be condemned because of what he didn't do. That is a denial of the efficacy of the Word, as well as the doctrine of election. 

And there are others. But you can dismiss them all with "don't have a cow," because these errors are subtle. You think that means we should ignore them; I think that makes them even more dangerous. And multiple scriptural warnings, as well as a myriad of examples from the history of the church, would seem to be on my side regarding the danger of the subtle errors.

It's real easy to throw out challenges for proof when you ignore all the proof that is offered.

Any you think you're tired? You're riding along with the direction our Synod seems to be heading. You're jumping on the bandwagon of the celebrities of our Synod. You want to see tired? try being one of the "legalists" or "Pharisees" who dares to question these things...

And P.S., I'm not sure what, or who, it serves by insulting Greg Jackson on a site that he has nothing to do with. I can't defend some of his theology, but meeting insult with insult seems to inappropriate for a WELS pastor, much less the (apparently) only defender of WELS orthopraxy.

So, apparently Pastor Joel Lillo doesn't have the time for a serious discussion of doctrine and practice, but he does have the time to insult someone's mother...

Now I don't care whether you agree with Jackson and Meyer or not, the simple fact is that this is conduct unbecoming a pastor. And yet, this is exactly the sort of inappropriate, sophomoric behavior that too many people have come to expect from WELS pastors. 

But I guess when you serve in a district that rewards pastors for plagiarizing, sexually harassing employees, and suing members, a few casual insults are no big deal.

GJ - Joel, it strains my credibility to imagine you do not know the answer to my questions -

1. Is Ski suspended covertly, as the COP imagines?
2. Was he given a paid vacation as a leave of absence, as The CORE and St. Peter, Freedom think?
3. Where is Ski?  The CORE website says nothing and St. Peter in Freedom says very little.

So why would this involve the "chain of discipline" in the Northern Wisconsin District? That sounds ominous.

I am full of wonder that there is such a thing as genuine discipline in your district. The CP was disciplined and replaced for correctly telling Glende that Tim was wrong when plagiarizing from Groeschel. Plagiarism is fraud and deceit, against the  law, by the way.

How about Bethany in Appleton stealing the Swindoll devotion and printing it as original?

Or Parlow's incessant plagiarism?

If anyone is concerned about matters in your circuit, excommunication and shunning follow.

But real discipline? Please.

Glende and pals thought they had to set up a blog, borrowing my blog's name, to attack me anonymousely. They also started a second one that slandered WELS members by name, so brazenly that it soon disappeared. That is against the law, by the way.

Who appointed them? Glende and Ski cannot write a sermon on their own. They have to download graphics from Craig Groeschel. They need to study and worship with gay activist Andy Stanley.

Glende thought SP Schroeder did a wonderful job with Joel Hochmuth, just before Joel offended again - many times over. Sin more that grace may abound, as St. Paul "said" (as a good example of false doctrine).
