Abraham! How Can So Many Be Blind?

 

To be brief, God promised Abraham a son, Genesis 15. If anything is noteworthy, it is a baby, especially a new-born son (as they always said in those days). The only problem for Abraham and Sarah, apart from age, was their incredulity.

Sarah laughed.

God displays great signs, like the stars in the sky and the sand along the sea. That was so permanent a miracle that the same great Promise was declared in Romans 4 and 5, and actually in many episodes in the New Testament.

People are content to honor almost anything today - except Justification by Faith. But that is not enough glory for the crafts and assaults of synodical professionals. They want such people to bask in themselves.
