St. John is the Church Growth LCMS parish is in Ellisville, Missouri. They were once listed as a member of the Willow Creek Association, so they were all in to win. The LCMS is against unionism, except with Willow Creek, Fuller Seminary, and ELCA.

Now the parish wants to brand itself. St. John Lutheran Church in Ellisville wants to be hipster.

- They did research.
- They had focus groups.
- They went through many suggestions of names.
- They came up with Pathfinder Church!
