Introducing His Beatitude, Presiding Bishop of ELDONA

James Heiser, bishop of ELDONA, 23 congregations; founding member of The Mars Society; JBS lecturer.

Book of Concord Is Clear about Justification

Syn Conference nostalgia should be tempered with the knowledge that they kelmed double-justification from a Halle Pietist (Knapp) and his Calvinist translator (Woods), who graduated from Andover Seminary:

"Andover Theological Seminary was founded in 1807 by orthodox Calvinists who fled Harvard College after it appointed liberal theologian Henry Ware to the Hollis Professorship of Divinity there in 1805. Widely in the national press, this was one of the significant events that contributed to the split in the Congregationalist denominations, and to the eventual founding of the American Unitarian Association in 1825, which joined the Universalists to become the Unitarian Universalist Association in 1961[1]." L P has left a new comment on your post "Poor Argumentation from UOJ Stormtroopers":

Dear Joseph,

I am glad you made a great effort to examine the evidence for yourself. Your approach is miles apart from the other people that I know. Some people I know won't even look at the evidence and the arguments. They have chosen to play blind.

The justification by faith that is taught by the BoC has already defined what is the faith that justifies in here AC IV.

1] Also they teach that men cannot be justified before God by their own strength, merits, or works, but are freely justified for 2] Christ's sake, through faith, when they believe that they are received into favor, and that their sins are forgiven for Christ's sake, who, by His death, has made satisfaction for our sins. 3] This faith God imputes for righteousness in His sight. Rom. 3 and 4.

This faith that believes that one is received into favor and one's sins are forgiven for Christ's sake because Christ has made satisfaction for his/her sins, such faith, God imputes for righteousness in His sight.

I doubt if anyone else can improve better on that formulation. It is plain.

GJ - LPC has been insightful about the connection between Calvinism and double-justification. The DNA of this error is clear:

1. George Christian Knapp, the last Pietist at Halle while it was turning rationalistic.

2. Leonard Woods, wunderkind translator, trained at a Calvinistic seminary.

3. C. F. W. Walther.

One sign of Enthusiasm is the growth of political organization (to benefit the pastoral members) while the congregations shrink.

WELS church lady has left a new comment on your post "Kudu Don Patterson's League of Leaders":

I found this League Of Leaders over the weekend. There is a calendar link that was not working. Yesterday, I was able to get the calendar, but nothing is slotted in the dates at this time. This non-WELS and WELS reading is keeping me in suspense. The Leadership Institute is being held the day after the SCD convention. Remember Calvary is only hosting the convention. Church and Change is not the motto at Calvary. They have NO contemporary services or small groups. These pastors care about the spiritual well-being of ALL members and never hesitate to visit the sick and shut-in. God bless our faithful pastors.

Hypnotic Effect of Enthusiasm

Whac-A-Mole No Longer Works in the Internet Era:
Church and Change Liars Club Exposed

Synodical Whac-A-Mole is a fun game, if you get to do the whacking.

When knowledge was held by the high priesthood alone--the overpaid drones of the synod--people only knew the facts from local gossip. When DP Ed Werner went to the Big House, the Wisconsin Synod spread a false story to cover-up the truth. In the district they had to tell some facts because it was in the newspapers. However, the synod PR engine did not find it necessary to tell WELS members and pastors that a District President went to the state prison for molesting girls in his own congregation, that it went on for decades while the district's pastors continued to re-elect him.

Scott Zerbe went to state prison in Michigan, but a nearby WELS pastor knew nothing about it. He said he had to get the WELS news from me. DP John Seifert did not think it was newsworthy that a vicarage ended in a multi-year sentence. That was not as bad as getting a call to Calumet. Scott's astute supervisor, Fred Adrian, is a pastor once again in the Michigan District. Seifert watches over the flocks the facts.

Missing synodical funds? The treasurer objected, so he was fired by Gurgle, and blamed by Gurgle. WELS put out a lame story about counting money twice, etc. Finally someone pulled a chapel out of the magician's hat. Nothing to see here, move along.

One member really laughed when I told this story - A WELS CG hero picked his own successor for his parish (confusing his role with the Holy Spirit - typical for an Enthusiast). "The new pastor later resigned because of depression." I asked, "What was her name?" The informant yelled, "Who told you?"

When communication is slow and the truth withheld from everyone, Synodical Whac-A-Mole is easy, enjoyable, and fun. In a small sect with a rigid structure, any story can be isolated quickly with:

1. Who is talking?

2. How can we stop it?

Church and Change
Ichabod has been in the vanguard of exposing Church and Change for what it is, a WELS funded agency for promoting false doctrine and false teachers. Likewise, Fox Valley is the area where the Church and Changers* are especially dense. The results speak for themselves. I would not be surprised to find district leaders blaming me for unhappiness with The CORE and Ron Ash's Mother Ship - St. Peter, Freedom. But those congregations brag about their apostasy on their websties, blogs, and Facebook pages. *Ski was a board member of Church and Change. Ron Ash is the chairman. Tim Glende is a fellow-traveler. Parlow and Kelm are leaders, although Kelm had two calls since Green Bay. Witte was a founder of the group and now has a synod position. The fastest shrinking congregations are Changer-led and Changer-bled. Doctrinal discipline is limited to Whac-A-Mole.

I am only too happy to point people to the published information freely available for those who look - and to copy it before it is erased. I have learned that some material is kept from the Net, perhaps to keep me from copying congregational material. They would copyright it, except it is illegal to copyright something copied from a copyrighted source!

I enjoy publishing the Church and Change lies about what they do and where they go. By now they have figured out that a lot of WELS people funnel information to me. Sometimes it is just a starting place, so I can read up on it and share my opinions generously.

False Doctrine
Synodical Whac-A-Mole is handy when scandals break out here and there, millions are wasted on wild hair projects, and CG heroes slink off into Pentecostalism, Thrivent, the LCMS. <-- Descending order. Synodical Whac-A-Mole has been used repeatedly to hide synodical false doctrine. WELS kicked out two families who did not subscribe to the Kokomo Statements (which are not in my Triglotta). WELS also claims in print that the families wrote up the Kokomo Statements as a "parody of justification." Which lie are we supposed to believe? I got out my mildewed copy of J. P. Meyer's Ministers of Christ and there I found the first three Kokomo Statements, something St. Sig Becker conceded. The last one I recognized from a Norwegian-Augustana conflict. Besides that, I talked to both families in Kokomo itself and got copies of the letters of defenestration. I reprinted them in Thy Strong Word.

Synodical Whac-A-Mole has been frustrated by blog information provided instantly, along with the links to support those facts. Blogs are also handy for satire. The Steadfast blog has provided a daily stream of information and entertainment to prevent the continuation of the Kieschnick Reign of Terror. In contrast, he is limited to the synodical media machine. If Kieschnick responds, he is refuted instantly on the Net. His defensive response only emphasizes the original point - such as his low nomination numbers. He cannot use satire and cartoons, which have always been popular ways to skewer errorists and tyrants.

The Illinois ELCA bishop's office wigged out when they got, by accident, a copy of my Photoshop showing devil's horns and a tail behind their leader. I thought that was rather gentle, considering his efforts to steal the property of the congregation in the name of sodomite ordination. Faith in Moline, Illinois, did everything necessary to leave the Lavender Mafia to their own devices and vices. The bishop did everything he could to prevent it.

Faith in Moline apologized and published the apology. The bishop's office attacked them again for the accidental communication, showing how ungracious they were.

Blogging has been useful in generating a discussion of UOJ - justification of the entire world, without faith. False teachers get riled up when their favorite errors are dissected in public. When they publish their arguments on a blog, everyone can measure the truth for themselves and compare that to the Scriptures and the Confessions.

UOJ Stormtroopers have avoided dealing with Robert Preus' destruction of their favorite cause - in his last book Justification and Rome. Now they are also dodging the issue of Halle University's Knapp being the author of double-justification. The "oh noes" must be echoing in the polished halls of the Sausage Factory and the Little School on the Prairie.

I check the main blogs I follow every day, look for ELCA news, and even read ALPB Online and other sites when no one is producing. I publish more than the largest Lutheran denomination, and they have paid staff. How do they manage to do so little with so much?

I still laugh about this. For months I have identified an official ELCA bio, where Stan Olson is identified as growing up on an Iowa "diary farm." No one has noticed. No one has changed it. I just checked. Some of my favorite commenters are prodigious typo producers, but they do not have paid staff to check their work.

This is a gentle spoof of the Illinois bishop at work.

Poor Argumentation from UOJ Stormtroopers

KJV Luke 11:22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

Joseph Schmidt has left a new comment on your post "Syn Conference Caught Knapping - Origin of Missour...":

I printed off about 46 pages worth of comments (read about 26) at the Extra Nos blog about UOJ, and the UOJ theologians did not make a very good case for the entire world being absolved from sin without faith.

***
GJ -

UOJ arguments:

  1. Confuse the atonement with justification by faith.
  2. Ignore the obvious refutation of their position in Romans 4:24-25, in all of Romans 4 and 5, while citing only one verse (Romans 4:25).
  3. Sidestep John's treatment of faith, especially John 3:18, while citing John 1:29.
  4. Criticize the Kokomo Statements while endorsing them.
  5. Limit their authorities to the Synodical Conference while refusing to acknowledge George Christian Knapp, the author of their folly.
  6. Deceive their audience about the novelty of their position, much like the Roman Catholic divines who claim the Church has always taught the Assumption and Immaculate Conception of Mary.

Laura Bush Speaks about Her New Book

Laura Bush is the former First Lady who puts her predecessor and successor to shame.

LI and I heard Laura Bush live at the monthly Walmart meeting. A major celebrity comes to town each month, often reflecting the conservative nature of the area.

I would not give Laura Bush a conservative rating, but she is definitely a rose between two thorns. Hillary was investigated and should have been indicted for her fraudulent activities.

I have asked people, "How many times have you seen a photo of Michelle Obama smiling?" Like Hillary, Michelle seems permanently furious.

Laura Bush was gracious in her comments and only mentioned the press once, adding, "But they always get the last word." She spoke of various charitable efforts. She was unflinching in her discussion of how Afghan women were treated before America liberated the country.

She spent a fair amount of time speaking about her respect for our military and the sacrifices they make for the country. She told the troops, "I feel guilty being in my comfortable bed while you are out here." They responded, "But we want to be here." The audience applauded her. Walmart recruits from the military because they make excellent employees.

One of the great things about this area is the chance to see the interface between a large corporation and its employees. I wish every company treated its employees so well.

KJV 1 Peter 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. 8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. 9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging. 10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: 27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning. 16:1 These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. 2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. 3 And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me. 4 But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.

Prayer
Lord God, heavenly Father, we give thanks unto Thee, that through Thy Holy Spirit Thou hast appointed us to bear witness of Thy dear Son, our Lord Jesus Christ: We beseech Thee, inasmuch as the world cannot endure such testimony, and persecutes us in every way, grant us courage and comfort, that we may not be offended because of the cross, but continue steadfastly in Thy testimony, and be found always among those who know Thee and Thy Son, until we obtain eternal salvation through the same, Thy Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with Thee and the Holy Gaost, one true God, world without end. Amen.

Stewards and the Oracles of God
The epistle has two lessons for today – one emphasizing being stewards of God’s grace, and related to that – treating the Scriptures as the oracles of God.

The steward concept was known in the ancient world and even preserved in titles. A steward of a kingdom was one who ruled but only until the rightful king took the throne. The steward’s authority was derived from the royal claim alone, so he was to be faithful to that office and not a king in his own right.

Likewise, the steward of an estate was one who managed his master’s affairs to benefit the master.

Jesus said to his disciples:

KJV Luke 8:10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

Paul said,

KJV 1 Corinthians 4:1 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. 2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. 3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self. 4 For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.

The mysteries of God are those spiritual matters revealed by the Holy Spirit in the Scriptures. These mysteries are not known by human wisdom or proven by man’s logic. Some examples are:
1. The Holy Trinity.
2. The Incarnation.
3. The Atonement.
4. Justification by faith.
5. The Real Presence.
6. Baptismal regeneration.

Oracles of God
A. They are from God alone.
B. Revealed and not deduced.
C. Not man’s to bargain with.
D. All powerful.
E. Powerful to convert
F. Powerful to harden and to blind.

Self-Induced Amnesia

Self-induced amnesia means that George Christian Knapp is no longer on the Syn Conference radar scope.

LPC

Syn Conference Caught Knapping - Origin of Missouri's Enthusiasm, WELS Cloning, ELS Me-Tooism

Matthew Harrison's book leaves out the most important LCMS father,
George Christian Knapp
.

Halle University is the Rosetta Stone of Lutheran history in America. The school was founded in 1694 to promote Spener's Pietism, in an era where Biblical studies were neglected. Spener's influence was unionistic because his ideas came from Labadie, the Reformed churchman who had been a Roman Catholic. Anyone familiar with the emotional intensity of Roman Catholic small group piety can see why this phenomenon came to the Lutheran Church via Pietism.

Like the other Lutheran leaders in America, Walther was a Pietist. I doubt whether people saw that as a denominational difference. Many Syn Conference leaders today think they are fine Lutherans, even though their favorite schools are Fuller, Willow Creek, Trinity Divinity, and Gorden Conwell. They bristle at any criticism of Church Growth, but mouth the right platitudes about Reformed doctrine. Like Spener, they are union theologians, or at least unionists.

Knapp (1753 – 1825) was the last believing theologian of Halle, and he was considered a fossil of Pietism once the school had turned rationalistic. Tholuck, who was Adolph Hoenecke's mentor at Halle, was a Universalist.

Knapp, as shown in this link, created the concept of double justification, and the English definition (OJ and SJ) was penned by his equally famous (in America) translator - Leonard Woods.

Knapp began lecturing on this book in 1789, the year our Constitution was ratified. The Woods translation was published in 1831.

Note these words about the fame of Woods and his translation:

Leonard Woods (1807-1878), was born in West Newbury, Mass., on the 24th of November 1807, and graduated at Union College in 1827 and at Andover Theological Seminary in 1830. His translation of Georg Christian Knapp's Christian Theology (1831-1833) was long used as a text-book in American theological seminaries.

And see this link about Woods and Bowdoin College.

Walther did not land in America until 1839.

According to the UOJ Stormtroopers, their fantastic formulation--universal grace without the Means of Grace--is Biblical, Lutheran, and ancient. They have to admit that all their favorite terms are really quite new.

Of course the terms OJ and SJ are new - they came from the work of Knapp and the translation of Woods. One can find in the English translation of F. Pieper the same wording used in Woods' translator note, which was published to explain the verbosity of Knapp in a few words.

1789 - Knapp lectures completed.

1831 - English translation of Knapp - used throughout the 19th century in all denominations and still in print today.

Lectures on Christian Theology, p. 318.

1833 - in English!

By Georg Christian Knapp (Halle University), trans. Leonard Woods.

Translator's note• [This is very conveniently expressed by the terms objective and subjective justification. Objective justification is the act of God, by which he proffers pardon to all through Christ; subjective is the act of man, by which he accepts the pardon freely offered in the gospel. The former is universal, the latter not.]

1839 - Walther landed in New Orleans with the Stephan group.

1924 - F. Pieper's Dogmatics completed.

1932 - Brief Confession of the LCMS, 1932, canonized UOJ.

1953 - F. Pieper's Dogmatics translated into English.

1987 - Justification Theses of the LCMS mixed up OJ and SJ into one foul stew.

1997 - Robert Preus repudiated UOJ in Justification and Rome.

The term General Justification (same as UOJ) was used by Burk, who was also a Pietist. He was the son-in-law and close collaborator of Bengel. Hoenecke quoted Burk favorably but did not get into a UOJ fever. Hoenecke studied under Tholuck (Halle), and Tholuck followed Knapp. At this point I would find it schocking if Hoenecke did not mention this concept in his book.

The terms used--OJ, UOJ, GJ--have been understood as representing the universality of the Atonement. However, the core of UOJ is something apart from the Atonement. UOJ means that God has declared every single person absolved of sin. Therefore, everyone in Hell has the status of guilt-free saints.

The Syn Conference, by neglecting the efficacy of the Word, fell into a subtle form of Enthusiasm, its toxins masked by the apparent upholding of the Word and Sacraments. The Syn Conference has been caught knapping.

bruce-church (https://bruce-church.myopenid.com/) has left a new comment on your post "Syn Conference Caught Knapping - Origin of Missour...":

One can tell right away what the main issue of Harrison's synodical presidency will be. The LCMS et al, and especially Rev Rolph Preus, will have to go through a five-step Kübler-Ross process to deal with Walther's knapping. Of course, with alcohol abuse so rampant in the Midwest, some will have to go through a 17-step process: first the 12-step AA program, and then the Kübler-Ross steps: 1. Denial and Isolation. 2. Anger. 3. Bargaining. 4. Depression. 5. Acceptance.

***

GJ - So far they refuse to deal with the concrete evidence of UOJ being kelmed from Knapp by the Conference. I imagine, based upon unwarranted optimism, that someone at a seminary will discover the facts in about 20 years. Few will accept that unless a Synodical expert says so.

Wisconsin Timber Rattlers score big with families with Kids Crew

Ski Skorzewski and his family love baseball. "There's nothing like baseball" Skorzewski said.

"There's nothing like baseball" Skorzewski said.

When they lived in Milwaukee, they regularly attended Brewers games. So when they moved to Appleton two years ago, one of the first things they did was purchase season tickets to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, which plays at Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium in Grand Chute.

Baseball is a great family activity, Skorzewski said.

"We spend a lot of time at the park," he said, noting that his family, which includes 12- and 10-year-old daughters and a 3-year-old son, is also hosting a player. "We really feel like the ballpark is our home."

The Skorzewskis have more reasons this season to feel a part of the team, thanks to the Timer Rattlers Kids Crew, a program geared toward kids ages 12 and under.

"It was created specifically for our younger fans that enjoy coming out to the ballpark," group sales representative Dayna Haddock said.

For a $20 yearly membership fee, kids can get an official Kids Crew backpack, membership card with lanyard, 10 free tickets to every Wednesday home game, a monthly e-newsletter from Fang, discount to the Snake Pit Team Store, exclusive invitation to Fang's Birthday in July, an opportunity to be the Kids Crew Lineup Card Kid and an opportunity to attend a pizza party or ice cream party with Fang and Timber Rattlers players.

"The Kids Crew was created to give young fans unique opportunities that most fans do not get a chance to experience," said Sarah Heth, director of corporate marketing and community relations.

The kids enjoy wearing their lanyards like the game day staff, Heth said.

"The kids seem to get a real kick out of looking official," she said. "We have seen a lot being worn around the ballpark … already."

Membership in the club is expected to grow once school is out, Haddock said.

"I think the response thus far is great," she said. "I believe we will get a lot more kids signed up when school is out for the summer and the weather gets a little warmer."

Skorzewski enrolled his two girls because it allows them to see more games with their own tickets.

"I think it's a good deal," he said. "It allows them to interact with other kids. It allows them to manage their passes. They know they have a certain amount of tickets."

Jen Foucault of Neenah is excited her children can participate in the Kids Crew.

"My husband and I both grew up in the Milwaukee area and as kids were both members of the Brewer Pepsi Fan Club for many years," the mother of a 7-year-old and 5-year-old twins said. "We both went to many games as kids and still remember going with our parents and siblings. Now the Rattlers have a similar program, and we hope our kids will also have the same great baseball memories that we do."

The Foucault family also enjoys baseball and love the Kids Crew package.

"It is a lot less expensive to take a family to a Rattler game than a Brewer game and even more of a value now with the kids club," she said. "Any unused tickets can be traded in for a grass seat for any game. You can't go wrong. Most are day games, and my oldest son is in school for a few, but I can still bring my 5-year-old twins, even if it's only for a few hours."

Haddock said Timber Rattlers games are great for families.

"We try to make it very affordable for families to enjoy a night out," she said.

The games are ideal for both baseball fans and non-baseball fans, she added.

"We provide in-game entertainment and also provide entertainment in other areas," Haddock said.

The most popular family day is Fridays, where kids 12 and under eat free, kids run the bases post-game and families can enjoy fireworks beginning June 11.

There are many changes at Time Warner Cable Field this year, including a new beach area, Haddock said.

"This is a great area for kids to bring their beach toys and play in the sand," she said, noting that the beach area is located in right field and "is a great place for families to play and still enjoy a great view of the game."

There are also more box seats and a new all-you-can-eat area. Inflatables have been added to the kid zone as well as a new jungle gym, Haddock said.

Families also can get involved with birthday party packages, special activities and game days.

Two free baseball camps will be available in June and August for kids ages 7 to 14. Reggy, the Purple Party Dude, a traveling mascot, will be at the Timber Rattlers games being held at Miller Park on May 7 and at Time Warner Cable Field on May 8 and 9. On June 25, the stadium will host its second annual peanut-free night.

"We will clear the ballpark of all peanut, peanut-dust products and give those fans with a peanut allergy a chance to enjoy a game without worry," said Haddock, noting that other activities that night include a Webkinz giveaway, an autograph signing by Iron Man and a fireworks show.

Fang celebrates his birthday July 16 with a bunch of his mascot friends. Star Wars characters will be in attendance June 12, and Spiderman will appear Aug. 6.

Starting June 11, fireworks will take place every Friday and Saturday night immediately following the game.

"I think the affordable prices and the fun atmosphere is the main factor in bringing families back season after season," Haddock said.

At Home with Knapp and the Missouri Fathers

Someone added Knapp to the cover of future SP Harrison's book.

I have to apologize to Paul Calvin Kelm for writing as if he invented kelming, the verbatim copying of material from false teachers without a citation. CFW Walther and F. Pieper kelmed double-justification from Halle professor Knapp.

For many decades, Syn Conference leaders have acted as if OJ, SJ, and UOJ were embedded in the Scriptures and the Confessions. The language of SJ/OJ comes from the English edition of Knapp, which was used in German and English in America and Germany. The book is still in print today, although it preceded the formation of the old Missouri Synod by years.

The Syn Conference has been caught knapping.

El Doughnut

ELDONA is a sect without a cause, very much like the CLC (sic).

The micro-mini sect with the huge name, ELDONA, is now in fellowship with the nano-sect called ACLC. The ACLC left the Little Sect on the Prairie, with Rolf Preus, but a disagreement over criticizing the LCMS led Rolf to quit their group.

The ACLC has about three congregations. Rolf has has three congregations, but I do not think he is considered multi-site.

Now that the LCMS presidency is Matt Harrison's to lose, I wonder about the future of ELDONA, based upon its opposition to SP Kieschnick. An evangelism call would start out, "Do you remember Yankee Stadium and DP Benke? Kieschnick? No? I guess we have nothing to discuss."

ELDONA is becoming ELDO-NOT, hence my pun in the headline.

What, you don't believe it was a terrible steak knife accident in bed? I didn't believe it thirty years ago, and I believe a jury didn't either!
Pray the small ground swell of the WELS may grow larger and sweep out the false teachers and money changers. Then we can get back to the work of preaching the Word instead of building buildings and programs.

Pastor Jackson, keep up the good work.

***

GJ - Scott is referring to Al Just's defense, that his late wife rolled over a steak knife in bed, inflicting dozens of wounds, in her sleep.

First VP Jim Huebner's father came to Phoenix to help defend good ol' Al. So did a busload or two of brain-washed WELS members. I wonder if God curses those institutions which deceive people about adultery and murder. Mary Lou College is perishing from a lack of repentance and shameless false teaching.

A jury of his peers convicted Al Just of murder, but he got out of the hoosegow in a few years. While in prison he married his children's baby-sitter, who subsequently divorced him. He claimed innocence and some clergy still beat the drums about his persecution - but he did confess all to someone. That gets forgotten.

Al Just taught at the Arizona Lutheran Academy of WELS, where CrossWalk meets.

Another WELS worker who went to the Big House was DP Ed Werner, for assaulting minor girls in his own congregation.

Did you read about them or the imprisoned vicar in NWL/FIC? No, the magazine is reserved for rave reviews of Shrinker experiments, which look alarmingly like Babtist New Age clones.

You will never read about their colossal Shrinker failures, the millions wasted, the members alienated, and the clergy leaving for Pentecostalism and atheism.

I would love to see a budget printed up for The CORE, and notes from meetings about how that disaster was hatched under the watchful eye of Deputy Doug Englebrecht.

Does God bless church workers who deceive people about their confession of faith? The Shrinkers pretend to be Babtists to the Babtists and Lutheran to the Lutherans, so they grovel in their deceit toward both sides at once.

Has WELS benefited from lying about the two murders committed by their own church workers? Did Team Mischke explain to the members of Salem, Milwaukee that WELS knew from the beginning that Tabor had wanderlust in the LCR and was known for adding an extra baby to his own congregation, through birth and baptismal regeneration. That was all known before WELS gave Tabor a mission congregation to start with members he took out of Scriptural, Cape Girardeau, Missouri. I have been there, too.

I know from many sources that WELS knew all about Tabor before they inflicted him on their unsuspecting members. And they called him to Milwaukee after his mission disaster in Cape, which closed soon after. But they also moved him to Escanaba after the murder of his wife. Three divine calls were given to a man who entered WELS racing ahead of shotguns, pitchforks, and other weapons.

Did they learn anything from Tabor? No. They inflicted Floyd Luther Stolzenburg on Columbus, lying to everyone again.

Did Jay Webber learn anything from being at Scriptural, his first call? Apparently not, because he was willing to work with Shrinkers Kovaciny and Stolzenburg to raise money in the Ukraine. Floyd had a Scriptural divorce, he claimed. WELS workers echoed his lie. Do you see the irony? Jay Webber, from Scriptural Lutheran Church, worked with a man who falsely claimed a Scriptural divorce. Tabor's Scriptural divorce was instant and inexpensive.

I imagine Pope John the Malefactor said about Webber, "That's the kind of man we need on the ELS doctrinal committee, someone who can take a stand and abandon it with dexterity."

Faith in Moline Likes My Photoshop, But the Bishop Does Not

Illinois ELCA bishop.

I was grieved to learn that a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Moline, my hometown, accidentally sent my Photoshop/Despair.com poster to the bishop's office.

The grief I experienced came from my realization that it was accidental. They should have dispatched it right away, on purpose, to drive home a point. That is the purpose of my ceaseless efforts against apostasy.

One of the evils of ELCA's dance with the Lavender Mafia is the overwhelming feeling of superiority felt by other denominations. The other groups can cluck their tongues and point at ELCA when they should be cleaning out their own stables.

Below are photos posted at ELCA's websty, about their 2009 convention. Their photos identify Goodsoil.org as a "group working for change," a caption so misleading that it transcends the boundaries of deception. The bishop of Illinois works for the sodomites. He wants to grab land, title, and name from the faithful, to perpetuate his personal dynasty of terror - with the emphasis on nasty.

Rainbow stoles signify Lavender Mafia members and useful idiots helping them. They were abundant at the 2009 convention, where the tornado struck next door.

Variations on a Theme by Beelzebub

Management by Objective: kill the story by trashing the source.

Two people, who do not know each other, said the same thing. They have checked out my facts independently and found them to be true. In contrast, WELS has repeated the same falsehoods, verbatim, in stories that are obvious cover-ups or attempts to discredit any source that knows how corrupt the leaders have been.

Some may argue that all denominations engage in similar cover-ups, but that does not get at the extent and organization of the criminal enterprise in WELS. Some glimmerings include the disappearance of the Schwan money and the evaporation of the designated funds. I am no accountant, but I recall an $8 million figure vanishing and the Mary Lou Chapel funded but not built. Did the Love Shack drones spend the money on their own projects while robbing the chapel account? That humble house of God in New Ulm cost $8 million.

When SP Schroeder was elected instead of the designated driver Jahnke, the synod installed financial controls to track the money. The sinking ship righted itself in spite of a disastrous economy. It was almost as if Mama sewed a hole in that pocket that the money kept burning through.

Failed ex-SP Gurgle is now in Texas, working with Kudu Don Patterson, hoping everyone forgot.

Standard Operating Procedure is to deny the obvious, refuse to discuss an issue, and start shunning those who get in the way of the Shrinker Mob.

Why did WELS cover up the murders of Mrs. Tabor and Mrs. Just? The synod officials were not worried about the organization. They were protecting their own cushy jobs. If the members had found out the sordid truth, pitchforks and torches would have surrounded the Love Shack.

Strangely, the pastors get lured into the same cover-ups and evasions. They realize they will be ousted if they show any intellectual curiosity. They are expected to unman themselves and help silence others. And they do. The leaven of the Pharisees grows downward with ease.

UOJ is a contributing factor. If everyone is already forgiven and people know they are sinners, there is no Law. The Antinomian streak is even stronger in the CLC (sic), the rancid version of WELS - more Pietistic, more hypocritical, more sanctimonious.

Pietism itself is a major factor. It is easy to go from "girls cannot wear shorts" in Owasso, Michigan (an earlier WELS pastoral edict) to multiple adulteries qualifying a non-WELS ex-pastor to be a Church Growth expert (under DP Hategood). Oh, and do not forget the DP's buddy, another adulterer, being given a cushy job once his adultery was exposed. Was the VP punished? Oh no. Was the DP punished? Heavens no. The minister who uncovered the priapic pastor was thrashed for conduct unbecoming a WELS mobster.

The WELS pastors, who walk six feet above the ground, hate the facts being known. Al Just was convicted of murdering his wife in Phoenix, but the insiders still wig out about it being discussed. They do not realize or care that this attitude makes it easier for the next crime to occur.

The secret hazing ritual, called GA, trains WELS pastors to lie. They are still deceiving people about GA, which continues as an annual event. GA is a permanent stain on the Wisconsin Synod. James Tiefel was GA pope, so do not expect it to go away.

Mutual blackmail works well too. If they move a pastor because he had a affair with Bubbles, they own him for life. He is not going to go all Martin Luther on them. If called upon, like the clients in Godfather, he will do his duty for the Shrinker Mob.

O foolish WELSians, you let them organize Church and Change right under your noses while using your funds to do it. They skimmed your offerings to pay their tuition at Fuller, Willow Creek, Trinity Divinity, and other bawdy houses of Enthusiasm. And they call each other "Doctor" for getting a worthless DMin with your money!

They organize multiple meetings each year to support one another in the Mob. The invitations are public and the public must pay to have the poison dripped in their ears. The Shrinker Mob never works for free.

They trundle off to various rallies of Enthusiasm without facing any consequences. They are now so bold that Valleskey was able to become seminary president while endorsing Fuller Seminary, his alma mater. Kudu Don Patterson, called twice to the Sausage Factory, has gathered church workers for more of the same - and he wants to be DP!

WELS should move headquarters to Chicago, so the Democrat Left there could learn from the shameless, hardball tactics of WELS Church and Change.

But the basic members and pastors have been swindled long enough. I get the feeling that they will not let themselves be euthanized. They will not get back the millions wasted, but they may see the return of Lutheran doctrine. It will be a protracted battle, lasting many years. In the last 30 years, only one side has fought - the Shrinker Mob.

The Hymn #215 Draw Us to Thee 1:3
The Order of Vespers p. 41
The Psalmody Psalm 47 p. 123

KJV Psalm 47:
1 O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.
2 For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.
3 He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.
4 He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.
God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.
6 Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.
7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.
8 God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.
9 The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.

The Sermon Hymn #225 Come Holy Spirit Come 1:39

The Sermon – Mark's Gospel

The Prayers
The Lord’s Prayer
The Collect for Grace p. 45

The Hymn # 200 I Know My Redeemer Lives 1:80

KJV Acts 1:1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, 2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: 3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: 4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. 5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. 6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? 7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. 9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

KJV Mark 16:14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. 15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. 19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. 20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Outline:
I. The Ending of Mark
A. Mysterious finds by the same man, Tischendorf. Vaticanus and Sinaiticus.
B. Used to undermine the traditional NT texts from the Byzantine Empire, 1100 years of Greek Christian rule. Constantinople.
C. First stage in undermining the authority of God’s Word.
D. That and the canon of the NT (books of the Bible).

II. Homiletics book.
A. Bad sermon – one that implied the Ascension actually happened.
B. This is not a liberal observance so conservative Lutherans make a point of recognizing it.
C. God accomplishes everything by His will, through His Word.
D. Doubting God means doubting His Word and His goodness. One may start at one point or another, but doubt will connect the points together. Atheists exult in the number of former ministers who fill their ranks, and these are activist haters of religion, especially the Christian faith.
E. Jesus upbraided the disciples. Important to realize that all preaching of the Word includes Law preaching – against doubting the Word.

III. We recite Psalm 47, and sing it in various hymns.
A. Did they know what they were singing? Not until it was fulfilled before their eyes.
B. God has gone up with a shout – only fulfilled in the Ascension and makes little sense apart from the Ascension.
C. Victory over sin, death, and Satan.
D. Justification by faith is essentially God declaring our sins forgiven because of Christ’s victory, and this declaration is received in faith, faith created by the Promises of God.

Ascension Day Service, Tomorrow at 7 PM Central

By Norma Boeckler

We Americans have turned the worship service into another day of labor. Someone said, "The Christian faith is the only world religion where God gives to man, instead of man giving to God."

That would be a Means of Grace perspective, almost absent in the Lutheran Church, but staging a minor comeback in some places.

The Pentecostal-Evangelical tradition turns the worship service into a recruitment drive. From that point it has degenerated into a time of entertainment and manipulation. Most of us ministers are not that entertaining, so that sends the majority into bouts of plagiarism to keep up with demands.

God has a marvelous way of tripping people up in their conceits, or perhaps it is Old Scratch hisself, leading false teachers along and betraying them at the end.

Robert Schuller claims to have invented the Church Growth Movement, and I believe he has strong claims in that area. Situated near Fuller Seminary, he had the chance to influence Fuller as a successful TV minister instead of just writing about it, as McGavran and Wagner did.

Schuller got to gloat about all his victories in Your Church Has Real Possibilities.

His empire is declining rapidly now. Purpose-Driven Rick Warren, profoundly influenced by Schuller, is rolling in money and enjoying his influence.

The multi-site ministers have the Syn Conference pastors slavering and slaving to be just like them. Loving praise, these Emerging Church boys invite people to copy them, and thereby enjoy the sincerest form of flattery.

Schuller is selling off his properties, including part of his own main campus. Ditto the old D. James Kennedy property. The other personality cults will do the same, eventually. They only prove that weed seeds do grow well.

Recipe for Pastoral Work
All the Lutheran churches need to do is provide liturgical worship with home-made sermons (ingredients: KJV, Triglotta, Luther's sermons, Lenski).

Add pastoral visitation instead of committee meetings and mission/vision planning sessions.

Add adult and youth education.

Subtract all parish activities. The pastor is not the social director of the Love Boat.

Subtract community events. Local leaders see ministers as handy volunteers.

Subtract most other activities to spend time with the family.

Clock Roll-backs Are a Mistake
Some people want a denomination which is like the one they remember from 20 years ago. Unfortunately our brains are better at Photoshopping than the software is.

A stricter version of Pietism is still Enthusiasm, and it will end up in a few years just like that bad old denomination which was left for good.

Missouri is almost identical to the LCA I knew in the 1960s because the LCMS is a Pietistic sect. Missouri will catch up with ELCA unless the leaders begin taking the Book of Concord seriously.

ELCA Has Church Discipline - Unlike the Syn Conference

Anticonfessionals from Church and Change run the WELS periodical. Jim Aderman was a founder of C & C, was fired as a pastor for shrinking his church, and has served or serves as a regular contributing FIC author. Other past and present Chicanery FICaries are: Peter Pan-denominational, Kudu Don Patterson, Frosty Bivens, David Valleskey, Paul Calvin Kelm, Joel Gerlach, Wayne Mueller, Jim Huebner, Larry Oh!, etc.

Everyone is whining about ELCA's latest venture into diversity. ELCA is getting rid of CORE (anti-gay agenda) clergy on the roster. They are threatening to expel any congregation belonging to another denomination, such as LCMC or CORE's new entity. The seminary faculties are all behind these moves and support draconian measures to enforce the 2009 votes.

I respect ELCA for being honest about their beliefs and acting on them. They are just the opposite of the Syn Conference.

WELS claims to have fellowship principles, but Parlow, Kelm, and Trapp have belonged to the Willow Creek denomination without being disciplined. Their congregations have joined Willow Creek without being kicked out. (Ditto ELS, LCMS, and CLC (sic) examples, with some minor variations.)

ELCA advocates homosexual and lesbian pastor couples, homosexual weddings, the entire gay agenda - almost to the exclusion of heterosexuality. Any deviation from deviancy is called homophobia and roundly condemned. The Syn Conference is supposedly straight, but they have been doing joint work with ELCA since the 1987 merger, with the ALC and LCA before that.

The Syn Conference is supposed pro-life, but they have been cosy with ELCA, even though ELCA pays for clergy abortions through its health plan. ELCA uses its World Hunger money (with starving babies on the posters) to pay for political lobbyists all over North America, to advocate abortion on demand as a legal right.

ELCA practices unionistic worship because ELCA favors full-throttle ecumenism. In contrast, WELS and Missouri and the Little Sect are outwardly opposed to this, but...

1. WELS Pastor Ski brags about worshiping with the Babtists at the Drive conference. It is posted on his public blog and left there for everyone to enjoy. Bishop Katie boasts that there were 8 WELS church workers there. No discipline. No sir. Instead, Ski is a expert speaker at Mary Lou College, Jeske, and Deputy Doug district events. Ditto Kelm, Huebner, and the rest. (Imagine ELCA tolerating a second-in-command who is an ardent Triglotta, KJV, Luther-first orthodox pastor! Huebner is the equivalent of that polar opposite in WELS. And he went to Fuller Seminary.)

2. WELS and Missouri have devoted themselves to promoting the very doctrine they supposedly reject - Enthusiasm.

3. To train pastors and leaders, WELS and Missouri ship truckloads of money to Fuller, Trinity Divinity, Willow Creek, Drive, and Exponential - but they are against unionism.

4. Syn Conference leaders cannot articulate a clear Lutheran message. In contrast, Presiding Bishop Mark Hanson is the darling of the ecumenical Left. He is their poster boy, their white Obama, for forcing unwanted change upon his denomination, getting away with it, and enforcing his edicts.

5. The Syn Conference is supposedly scandalized by ELCA cuddling up to the Antichrist, His Holiness the Pope. However, the ELS invited a bishop to march with them in their religious dedication service - where he spoke; WELS had the homosexual archbishop and his scrofulous priests teach at WLC; and Missouri sends its finest to Rome and Constantinople, thanks to papalists on their seminary faculties.

6. Thrivent doles out money based on ELCA's agenda, and the Syn Conference has both trotters in the trough.

7. The Episcopal Church, the weak sister partner of ELCA, watches while entire dioceses leave the denomination with their bishops - all united in fighting the PB's lawsuits against them. However, ELCA has not had a single active bishop leave the synod. Nor has an entire group of congregations left at once. ELCA's leader looks like the reference librarian at the public library, but he takes no prisoners.

The Syn Conference is very strict in one area of doctrinal discipline. Although they are in bed with every denomination, every orientation, and the Lavender Mafia, they make a point of marking and avoiding me. For that I am grateful. I do not think I could stand the purity of their doctrine, the integrity of their confession of faith, the honesty of their practice.

CEO Jeske to graphics slaves - How can we get Jeske into this a few more times?

John has left a new comment on your post "Mark and Avoid Jeske Crosses the Wide Missouri":

Jeske appears to be another learned man who is so tied up in promoting his own agenda that the message of Christ, and Him crucified is totally lost.

One wonders whether Jeske has lost his identity as a Lutheran, or is denying that identity.

I have heard his program being praised as great for the W/ELS home bound and servicemen serving in areas where no W/ELS services are available.

How is this possible when there is no such affiliation mentioned in the program?

I dare say that if one looks at Jeske's program, simply applying the test of whether it spreads the message of Christ, and Him crucified, one will mark this program as having absolutely nothing to do with his/her salvation. Such a person will not only avoid this program, but also spread the word that it's a total waste of time.

What an opportunity this man has had to spread the Word. Has he done so?

2oo babies baptized in one year!
Those German immigrants were coming in by the boat loads. Now Jeske, it is 100 years later and more Lutheran churches have been built. Perhaps your faith lies in the Fleck Foundation. Maybe the LCMS? I know pastors who started a mission church on a shoe string budget. This was done without church growth gimmicks.(the pastor went out in the community and talked one-on-one with people) According to my source, this was no get rich quick scheme. The sad part is that these same churches with humble beginnings, are being lead by C&C/CG pastors. Jeske, do you subscribe to the Holy Scripture and the BOC? "Change or die." Sorry Mark Jeske, I will not sell my soul!

In Christ,

Deputy Doug Englebrecht presides over a Church and Change district. The Changers run everything...into the ground.

The chairman of Church and Change is Ron Ash, formerly of St. Peter Freedom.

The pastor of The CORE Lutheran Church is Ski, a board member of Church and Change. He and Bishop Katie came from Jeske's non-denominational church in Milwaukee. Jeske is the Church and Change rock star, because he lives off more government grants than Headstart.

The pastor of St. Mark Willow Creek, John Parlow, is a key figure in Church and Change.

St. Mattthew has been shrinking under its Church and Change growth program. I heard it is down to 100 members. Soon it will be as small as The CORE.

Deputy Doug is busy stamping out any traces of Lutheran doctrine and worship. Re-elect Deputy Doug, so he can finish his work.

Mark and Avoid Jeske Crosses the Wide Missouri

CPH catalogue: Jeske has no WELS affiliation at all.

Oh Shenandoah,
I long to hear you,
Away you rolling river,
Oh Shenandoah,
I long to hear you,
Away, I'm bound away
'Cross the wide Missouri.

Oh Shenandoah,
I love your daughter,
Away you rolling river,
I'll take her 'cross
Your rollin' water,
Away, I'm bound away
'Cross the wide Missouri.

'Tis seven years,
I've been a rover,
Away you rolling river,
When I return,
I'll be your lover,
Away, I'm bound away
'Cross the wide Missouri.

Oh Shenandoah,
I'm bound to leave you.
Away you rolling river,
Oh Shenandoah,
I'll not deceive you.
Away, I'm bound away

Church and Change - Their Five Lies about the Book of Concord and Lutheran Doctrine

WELS Pastors Bill Limmer and John Parlow
plagiarized Hybel's email.
Now Limmer copies Babtist sermons
and asks for financial support.

WELS pastors supposedly have a quia subscription to the Book of Concord. Therefore, every single thing done by WELS' secret lodge, Church and Change, is a lie. All their work is founded upon anti-Lutheran doctrine, from the Babtists, Reformed, Pietists, and New Age occultists. They learned this apostasy at the Sausage Factory in Mequon. No one seems to notice.

Babtist graphic.

WELS Pastor Bill Limmer is asking money for his generic Time of Grace campus ministry. He just sent out a letter with an offering envelope. he also advertised his sermons: Five Lies of the Devil. They are also posted on his websty.

The plagiarism of false teachers grew like kudzu vine
under the doctrinal leadership of Gurgle (left).
Ski (right) makes no bones about copying directly from Craig Groeschel.
The CORE is virtually a repeating mechanism for Groeschel.

The Five Lies of Church and Change:

1. Church and Change is Lutheran.

2. Church and Change is engaged in evangelism rather than sheep-stealing.

3. Church and Change pastors labor in the vineyard instead of lolling around at the conferences of false teachers.

4. Church and Change pastors write their sermons, studying the Scriptures and the Confessions, instead of copying and pasting them from false teachers.

5. Church and Change benefits the Wisconsin Synod and deserves financial support.

From NewSpring Babtist:

Satan. Beelzebub. Lucifer. The red scaly guy with a bifurcated tail, pitchfork in hand. Whatever image your mind conjures up when you think about the devil, the Bible is very clear about who he is and what he does.

He tempts (Mark 1:13). He accuses (Zechariah 3:1). He condems (John 13:2). Sometimes he puts evil thoughts into your head (John 13:2). He steals. And kills. And destroys (John 10:10). And he lies (John 8:44). He hates the truth. He schemes and whispers and manipulates, anything to convince you to believe what he says.

But you don't have to believe him. You can fight back. Beginning in August at NewSpring, join us for Five Lies of the Devil as we learn some common untruths the devil uses, and how to find the truth in every situation.
