Showdown at the WELS Convention

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Pastor Rick Avoids the Real Isssue - Again":

There needs to be a showdown at next month's convention. Either all WELS members are aware of the Church Growth situation and agree to stay and sway to the music, or it gets cut out 100% and we start over. Let the chips fall where they may. Church Growth will be a deal breaker for our family's involvment with the WELS.

If the CGM does not get cut, the time has come to look elsewhere.

Christ will spit out all those who seek to sit on the fence.

All will take the mark of Christ or the mark of Satan. There is no getting around it.

The apostates are making war with the saints.

Lawless deceivers, thieves, and betrayers hide amongst the believers in WELS.

You are doing the right thing by Revelation 18:4.

Reprobate WELS.

Does anyone think that WELS will alter course after more than 30 years of the CGM nonsense? Where are believers to go? Is there a better place than LCMS or WELS? If so, where is it?

Without an alternative believers are forced to hang out with the apostates.

WELS is flawed because their leaders are so easily corrupted.

What a shame that it has come to this. Who would have thought as we watched the split in the LCMS thirty-something years ago that our own dirty laundry would someday be hung out to dry? yep, it is time to make a choice. You members in the know, inform your congregations, members, even pastors of what is at stake here. If they seem not to care, you'll know which side they'll fall on.

"Church Growth will be a deal breaker for our family's involvement with the WELS."

C&C rationalizes such lose by saying you have to break a few eggs to make an omelet.

Lethargic, complacent, non-believing, and apathetic people avoid showdowns.
