Mark Jeske, "fifth generation WELS," was prepared to move into the Columbus, Ohio media market. Unfortunately for him, the Columbus WELS pastors are united in blocking him. I do not know what effect this will have on Jeske's media empire, perhaps none. But it is significant that Pastor Snowden Sims, now at St. Paul German Village, is part of the group opposing Jeske. Sims' home church is St. Marcus, Milwaukee.

Do Jeske and the Shrinkers sleep at night? The moment I share concerns about UOJ, and my stommach turns. I lost two nights sleep this weekend. Try to have a Justification talk with your pastor, and its insane. Jeske has admitted to the following of UOJ. What is the future of his "position"?
I love my pastor and he is very gracious. He is old-school and very liturgical. Closed communion and no unionism are his motto.(not so much a motto for Jeske)Also, male headship is what the Bible teaches. My pastor also teaches the six day creation.(Kelm says that can put people in the corner)He visits the homebound and leads all Bible classes. Pastor did two make-up classes at my kitchen table and I will always remember that. He praises all parish and Synod schools. He is against closing any colleges or prepschools. My church has no praise band or contemporary services. C&C gimmicks are not allowed. It is explained in our information to visitors.(does Ski tell his visitors that church is not a theatre?) My church does not subscribe to felt needs.
Yes, even the best of Pastors are teaching UOJ or a lighter version. I pray that they read GJ's Faith Alone book and are guided by the Holy Spirit.

Pretty sure John Balge got a call to St. Matthews in Milwaukee. So, he may have served his purpose at MLC but not in the ministry.

Pardon me for saying so, Wels lady, but I think you should earnestly be considering coming OUT from among them.
Have you thought to ask the Lord whether you would not be a whole lot more content as a member of Jackson's BETHANY ?
I think you would be a lot more full of the peace of god, there.
But God co-oerces no-one, and neither shall I. .
