Jackson.November 11th was originally Armistice Day, in recognition of the end of WWI.It was later changed to Veterans Day in order to honor all veterans of the US military services.Memorial Day, formerly Decoration Day commemorates men and women of the US who died while in military service.
Finally something tasteful on this blog. (Yes, I'm aware of the irony.)
