The free conference with Presidents Harrison, Schroeder and Moldstad will not be in Portland, but Tacoma, WA at Parkland Ev. Lutheran Church May 5 & 6 2011.

I am a former member of an ELS congregation, and am presently a member of an LCMS congregation.
It is my hope that this meeting will be but the first of three, with another being held in a WELS congregation, and another being held in an LCMS congregation, all in different parts of the country.
The LCMS congregation of which I am a member is Confessional.
The ELS congregation that I left rejected being Confessional by removing its subscription to the Confessions from its website, and refusing/failing to add it when confronted.
My point is that I don't see this as a synodical issue. It's, plain and simple a congregational matter. Should the congregation of which I am now a member reject its subscription to the Confessions, in any way I would search for another Lutheran congregation, irregardless of synodical affiliation.
