My question is: "Why are you still working with ELCA, if you have such scruples?"
I could not stomach copying more of the content of the renaming ceremony, etc. That is what ELCA leaders are promoting. It is not the fringe. The fringe is ELCA, yet WELS and Missouri work with them.

The fringe ministers influence everyone else because big names like Rick Warren and Mark Driscoll sanitize some of the behavior while bringing the same philosophies into the mainstream. There are LCMS, WELS, and ELS pastors only too eager to follow along.

Harrison and the other clerics are undoubtedly sincere in their views. What they don't realize is that their piety has been used for partisan politics. Suckers for publicity and suckers for seeking verification through the media.

Whether they know it or not, and I pray for the latter, they are playing into the hands of the ecumenical one world church agenda...the hooker of Babylon.
What a wonderful example as to how we are to carry out our various vocations, as we are able.
We need not be the president of a church body who is before a committee of a nation's legislative body. We need not be a member of the clergy.
We need not tailor who we are in order to please another.
We carry out our various vocations in a God pleasing manner when how we do so flows from faith.
