Luther's Sermons at Your Fingertips

Jesus Cleansing the Temple of Thrivent Salesmen,
aka Planning Giving Counselors,
by Norma Boeckler.
As many know, I have published the 8-volume set of Luther's Sermons (Mequon warning - misleading!) and linked them above on Ichabod.

This link will take you to the Table of Contents for the Lenker set of Luther's Sermons.

I thought it would be handy to have a sticky post on the left, so people would not lose sight of the Luther sermon or sermons for the upcoming week. So I decided to post a group of links for easy reference to the recent Luther sermons and update it each week.

I post the link to the Luther sermon in my sermon when I publish it for Sunday. It is my hope that some plagiarist will shriek that I am quoting Luther. Perhaps Mequon or Texas will host a conference asking whether it is proper to quote Luther and to establish parameters for safe Luther quotations.

The sermons for this Sunday have a good lesson built into them, one which the apostate Lutherans will never heed. The papists used this lesson about the Great Feast to justify their Corpus Christi celebration. Luther mocked their processions as being a travesty. He did not look to Rome as the gold standard for liturgy. He did not feel bound to follow their errors.

Today the "conservative" and "confessional" synods follow the Vatican lectionary and Rome's gay-friendly liturgical colors. Few use the historic lessons and many ape the liturgical finery of the priests.

Luther says it better, so read his sermons on the Great Feast.
