The UOJ Two-Step: Setting Up Faith as Some Kind of Mistake

 Justification by GRACE! through faith.
Why is UOJ allergic to the Biblical phrase Justification by Faith?

People will notice that when they talking about Justification by Faith, a Synodical Conference pastor (or ELCA clergy) will say, in the style of correction - "Justification by GRACE! through faith."

The clergy response is their way of replacing Justification by Faith with UOJ, making Justification by Faith seem to be false doctrine. No, they do not have the courage to be direct, but that is their intention.

Justification by Faith is the correct Biblical language because Paul contrasted faith with any form of work by man. That is the point of Romans 1-3, which serve as an introduction to Abraham as an example of Justification by Faith.

When the furtive UOJ salesman says Justification by GRACE!, he is creation an opposition between grace and faith, implying that the entire world is already forgiven and saved. They just need to be told - which is their version of faith, not faith at all. When Walther, JP Meyer, and the rest of the false teachers  claim that individual must now agree with this universal absolution, they are attacking the Scriptures and leading their fawning disciples to do the same.

Note that UOJ fanatics demand that people make a decision for world absolution, a twisted form of decision theology, but they cast shade on Justification by Faith.

To make matters clear, be assured that when ELCA and all the mainlines speak of grace, they mean God is so good that He has declared the entire world forgiven. Denying that - to them - means denying grace. Oh dear.

Karl Rahner, aspainted by Letizia Mancino Cremer,
constructed the Roman Catholic version of UOJ -
the Anonymous Christian.

As I wrote before, Karl Rahner's concept of the Anonymous Christian is another version of Universalism. Third World pagans are really better Christians than Protestant/Catholic America, even if they do not know the Name of Christ. They are already Christians without the Name, so they only need to be told. That is why mainline missions are a combination of medical work and Marxist revolution.

American Lutheran leaders are so pathetic that they now fulfill the prophesy of Krauth, above, a paraphrase of St. Augustine. They will pounce on Justification by Faith and exclude anyone who agrees with St. Paul - but gladly work with ELCA and ELCA's rainbow clergy.
