"For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ." Galatians 3:26,27
So to be baptized into Christ is to be clothed in the entire Christ by God himself. God imputes Christ's righteousness to you in baptism in the name of God the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Here in your baptism God justifies you, makes you His child, and gives you the gift of the Holy Ghost: the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost.
"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior; that being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life." Titus 3:5
Baptism is God's time and place for you being justified by God in His name, and by His work, will, word, and power. So beware the objective justification heretics who brush aside your baptism in favor of their lie that claims you were justified prior to and without baptism, faith, the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost. St. Paul wrote of two heretics who dreamed up a similar timing lie that said the resurrection had already occurred. See 2 Timothy 2:17,18. The objective justification lie has also eaten like a canker. Pastor Jackson, PhD explains this lie and teaches the true understanding of justification in two scholarly books:
ISBN: 9781072530428
and
ISBN: 9798429093451.
I urge you to read and study both of these books!!!
