Do Not Admit To Reading This Blog

Adolph Hoenecke has left a new comment on your post "Understanding the Art of Polemics":

I have always found it interesting - many in WELS object to Ichabod, its author and comments made therein. To object to Ichabod, one has to read Ichabod. I thought that was verboten in the WELS. Hmm......

GJ - They have condemned themselves in condemning this modest effort.

Pastor emeritus Nathan Bickel has left a new comment on your post "Do Not Admit To Reading This Blog":

GJ -

You say:

"They have condemned themselves in condemning this modest effort." [I take it (then) that "this modest effort" is referring to this informative Ichabod website].

Consequently:

So from what you say and what Adolph Hoenecke has said; am I to conclude that WELS synodical president, Rev. Dr. Mark Schroeder has condemned himself? After all, why would he have concerns about what I said in public? And, what I said [remarked about] was on this public online [Ichabod] website. How could he have known without coming here (on Ichabod) to find out; and / or, to confirm what he heard and / or understood me say?

GJ - From what I gather from various people, Mark Schroeder is a daily communicant at this blog. So are the synod officials.

The Martin Luther College faculty members put their own names in Google Alerts, so they can see if their names are coming up.

Although the MCL faculty members deny it, they change plans to avoid getting their efforts mentioned on the blog. Much hilarity has ensued from what students have overheard or heard directly.

One obvious example is Martin Luther College's list of speakers for Mission Day being hidden, with only a few listed. Someone I got the complete list and identified all the Church and Change (tm) members featured.

Once WELS students found out who the Church and Change leaders were, they realized that those were the same people being lauded as superstars at their schools. I told DP Buchholz this, but he denied.

P-Boy is the consultant for Parlow, whose church belonged to the Willow Creek Association for some time.
Mark Freier turned a WELS/LCMS mission into an Evangelical Covenant congregation.
Not alone - he had help from WELS CG stars - Rick Miller and Kelly Voigt.
