This verse speaks volumns about the resistance most in the Lutheran Synod's administrations and clergy have concerning one Justification solely By Faith Alone.
The false gospel of UOJ, which violently dethrones Christ as the object of faith and replaces Him with their forgiveness and righteousness, is the root of all of this evil in the Synods.
Standing on the doctrine of UOJ they forgive the adulterers, murderers, pedophiles and adulterous murdering pedophiles who do not repent. And on that same doctrine they condemn, excommunicate and bludgeon those who teach Christ's pure doctrine - rightly dividing the God's Law and Gospel.
Consider this verse the next time you see false teaching and practice coming from the Lutheran Synods.
