This Is the Cross Fashioned by the People Who Attend The CORE.
It Looks Like a Craig Groeschel Idea

Members were encouraged to bring objects that became part of this "cross" - more of a mockery of the cross.

This is a professional photo, so they went to a lot of trouble to make fun of the crucifixion.

In other news, WELS congregations are holding carnivals as "evangelism," even during Lent.

Absolutely disgusting.

There really isn't anything else to be said about this...

Is this a joke? I'm asking seriously.

GJ - "By their fruits ye shall know them."

I understand the sheep were encouraged to bring in their favorite objects and pose with them, adding them to the mock-cross.

I didn't know a football, a keyboard, a soccer ball, a pipe, or hammer died for my sins.

What self-worship. Let's replace Christ, the slain Lamb, with our world and fleshly fascinations. Replacing Jesus with worldy wants and gratification started with the music and has more obviously, now, ended up at the cross. Truly disgraceful.

GJ - This fits the definition of modern theology, by H. Richard Niehbuhr, roughly - "A God without wrath sent His Son without a cross into a world without sin."

UOJ is mainline religion. UOJ is not Christianity: it is anti-Christianity in the name of the Faith.

'Tis fitting that Tim Glende, who insisted on monitoring this blog and Rick Techlin's blog, cannot manage himself or his underlings.

Tim Glende is big on UOJ, plagiarism, Craig Groeschel, and manufacturing a personality cult. He must be grateful for Deputy Doug, the weakest DP since Bob Mueller.

Ichabod -

This mockery of Christ by the WELS church, Core, is as low as it gets! I would not doubt that the good and just Lord will curse this wanton (so-called) "Christian" congregation!

The video on The Core's site had the lady minister announcing Lent Madness, with a March Madness BB-ball bracket in the background. So nothing surprises me about The CORE.
