Jeske Video Rerun

WELS Pastor Mark Jeske is one of the kingpins of the synod within the synod: Church and Chicanery.

Check out the octopus.

Still no word on Brother Stetzer from the main page of Church and Change. When Joe Krohn asked them on their list-serve, they refused to answer. Correction - their answer was to pile on poor, little me.

Here is Page One of Church and Chicanery:

GJ - This video got people excited. I find Mark Jeske entertaining. He is so Saussage Factory-ish in his solemn declarations. One reader commented on the importance of having a captive ministerial wing in politics.

I keep thinking how far we are from the ideals of our Republic. Gibbons' The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire was published in 1776 and profoundly influenced our Founders, warning them against the dangers of imperial, corrupt, sodomite Rome. American has become the Roman Empire.

I get the Church and Change stuff and the debate on this blog about the conference next year. That is expected on this blog. However after watching the video I have to ask what in the world does that video have to do with anything found on this blog? Perhaps we are seeing more of Greg’s humor coming through with this video so I won’t get too worked up over this. 

The sermon talks about submitting to authority because all authority is from God but it was terribly taken out of context and edited for the purposes of an anti-government, New World Order conspiracy. I’m sure there is much to be debated on that topic alone so I won’t get into that either. The sermon also talks about standing up when the Bible says the government is wrong but that obviously wasn't shown. I went to the YouTube link and as a Christian I was troubled by the how far they went with their message. They even brought in a sermon by Mark Driscoll which again was taken out of context and as blunt as he is with his messages (affectionately called the “cussing pastor”) that has to be a challenge…but they did it!

Based on my perceived political views of the posters on this blog I would think that we would agree with Jeske in that video (with the full context of the sermon which wasn’t shown) and not the message the YouTube poster is trying to convey. I could however be wrong.

I had submitted this video link to Pastor Jackson. Pastor Jackson has in the past refrained from allowing posts that were more political rather than primarily focused on the doctrine and practice within the lutheran synods. If inclined, only he could explain why he allowed this post through. I can say that the reason I submitted it was as additional follow up to previous posts on WELS Pastor Jeske and his blashpemous statements that are parroted by other churches and pastors in the WELS. http://ichabodthegloryhasdeparted.blogspot.com/2008/12/jeske-thank-you-for-hiding-your.html Certainly since Time Of Grace Ministries is a WELS effort and receives money from churches that claim allegiance to Scripture and the Lutheran Confessions it's important to test the spirits. I don't agree with his sermon on submitting to the government. Primarily because the United States government is the Constitution and Bill of Rights. It is not the 3 bodies. That is why the president, congress and judges pledge to uphold the Constitution when they take office. He is also mistaken about being free to make ourselves slaves to anyone or thing other than Christ who alone is our master.

My interests are in Theology and Politics and how they are being used and changed to bring about the reign of the Antichrist. When practical I have tried to show how both are going in that direction in my posts. Like it or not the Lutheran Synods are heavily involved and responsible for assisting with the Antichrists emergence. Each person can decide if it is premeditated or not but their support for New Age doctrines, New Age teachers, support for Thrivent, support for Lutheran World Relief, the multitude of United Nations food and support programs and indifference to the destruction of Pure Scriptural doctrine and the Lutheran Confessions all support the effort.

In Christ,

Good God, Brett. Even Christ submitted to the earthly authorities because it was His Father's will. You climb a slippery slope with your comments that fly in the face of God's omnipotence. Have you not learned the lessons of Peter?

None of us a perfect. Insomuch as we are not to be of the world, we are in fact still in it. Keep on preaching all of your isolationist ramblings. That's right where Satan wants you...

Brett,

I've read a few of your posts about the Antichrist and the world government. Who do think the Antichrist is?

I too have read some of those posts from our friend Brett. Oh I can't wait to see this response...

Here is Jeske's message in its context:

Copy and paste into your browser and it will immediately open in your default video program.

Why in the world Jackson would post that hacked up garbage is beyond me.

There are and will be many antichrists.

What does WELS want us to do? Get ready for a new government?
