That is the absolute truth...whenever a council meeting goes contrary to the desires of the pastor (has nothing to do with doctrine, mind you)...the 8th commandment and Matt. 18 rear its head....
It seems to me that bringing up the 8th Commandment and Mat 18 is just another way of swearing at someone in the WELS. Instead of saying you !&?/%@#!, they bring out the Double 8 'n 18 Switch.
Frankly I appreciate the pictures of Ski. The pictures make it easier to “mark and avoid.” Most no-good pastors conceal themselves or keep a low profile.
Anonymous at 6:55am, if they are preying on members, and I'm convinced some do, are they praying to God or god?.
Mark 7:6-7,"He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."
UOJ is the WELS' man made doctrine as convieniently and accurately admitted to by Joe Krohn - voice for the WELS

Let me rephrase… The Gospel was meant to be simple; so simple a child can understand it. Period. End of story. UOJ is man's way of describing something that God has done and thus creating a doctrine. This is a slippery slope evidenced by all the discussion in this thread. By man's words, this is getting mucked up. God didn't intend for it to get mucked up. I gave the simple example of Jesus forgiving His executioners. They were forgiven regardless of faith or lack thereof of which I am of the opinion. Funny you looked right past that. I believe Lutheran doctrine assumes UOJ, therefore whatever has been written is cryptic within this context and not too much should be read into it. You think too darn hard, man. No religion deserves such an indecent and suggestive picture. Ski did not even allow or insist that MariQueen fully dress herself before the picture was taken.

No wonder so many people have a skeptical or cynical view of religion. Tragically many religious leaders prey on members while they pray to God.

Fire all the DPs. Hire religious police.
You only need one commandment when your religious leaders do your thinking for you.

Why did no one else take note?
