In Case You Wonder What Paul McCain Does For a Living

Paul McCain - no call, no advanced degrees, no problem.
He has an opinion on everything.
Like all UOJ Stormtroopers, he is the essence of charm and winsomeness.
A graduate of Concordia, St. Louis,
sent me the review of McCain's epic fail.

From Extra Nos

Mr. Jackson is a sad and pathetic character. I believe he suffers from some serious emotional conditions about which we can only but feel a lot of pity.

I've learned over the years that personalities like Mr. Jackson thrive on attention, and so desperate and hungry for it that they will do anything they possibly can to be noticed, recognized and given the kind of respect they think they deserve.

Mr. Jackson has moved from Lutheran church to Lutheran church, bouncing from one to another and another and then yet another.

He is now reduced to a fake house/bedroom church and feels a need to lash out and any all real/imagined errors.

His anger and bittnerness oozes out of his every post.

The only thing to do with people like Mr. Jackson is forgive them, and commend them to God's grace and then simply ignore them.

By the way, at its latest convention The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod specifically named and commended "Concordia :The Lutheran Confessions" and recommended it be the edition of the Lutheran Confessions read and studied by the congregations and members of the Synod.

GJ - I search the Net for tidbits about Lutheran doctrine. My favorite stop is Extra Nos. I wondered - why does he have so many comments about his proposed trip? Offers of help? But no, Paul McCain wanted to publish his standard rant. Alt-F8 macro, name - Jackson.

I have done everything wrong. I signed my name to articles in Christian News.

McCain did not.

I opposed Church Growth and published extensively on the topic.

McCain ducked, bobbed, and hid from the topic, with St. John Ellisville a few miles from the Purple Palace. And Benke worshiping with anything that moved. "Ecumenical wherever he went," Benke bragged.

I took the time and spent the money to get a PhD in theology, not to mention the money I spent going to see various theologians and leaders - not synod offering money, either.

McCain managed to spend two extra years at seminary without earning an advanced degree. Dyxlexia? Torpor? Too much time politicking?

I have served congregations since 1973, taking a three year break, so that means 34 years of pastoral service.

McCain has no call, served only one parish while running Barry's covert campaign via Otten. Time allegedly in the parish - three years.

I continue to write books about Lutheran theology. In fact, I reviewed a book in CN that McCain suggested and it sold like hotcakes. He reviewed one of my many books, too.

McCain has no bibliography to speak of...

I find myself humming the words from the HMS Pinafore whenever McCain publishes on the Net, hourly, even on Facebook, even on the WELS discussion page. And you know the topic. Here is the real message:

Sir Joseph.
When I was a lad I served a term
As office boy to an Attorney's firm.
I cleaned the windows and I swept the floor,
And I polished up the handle of the big front door.

Chorus.
He polished up the handle of the big front door.

Sir Joseph.
I polished up that handle so carefullee
That now I am the Ruler of the Queen's Navee!

Chorus.
He polished up that handle so carefullee,
That now he is the ruler of the Queen's Navee!

Henry Lytton as Sir Joseph 1920
Sir Joseph.
As office boy I made such a mark
That they gave me the post of a junior clerk.
I served the writs with a smile so bland,
And I copied all the letters in a big round hand.
Chorus.
He copied all the letters in a big round hand.

Sir Joseph.
I copied all the letters in a hand so free,
That now I am the Ruler of the Queen's Navee!

Chorus.
He copied all the letters in a hand so free,
That now he is the Ruler of the Queen's Navee!

Sir Joseph.
In serving writs I made such a name
That an articled clerk I soon became;
I wore clean collars and a brand-new suit
For the pass examination at the Institute.

Chorus.
For the pass examination at the Institute.

Sir Joseph.
That pass examination did so well for me,
That now I am the Ruler of the Queen's Navee!

Chorus.
That pass examination did so well for he,
That now he is the Ruler of the Queen's Navee!

Sir Joseph.
Of legal knowledge I acquired such a grip
That they took me into the partnership.
And that junior partnership, I ween,
Was the only ship that I ever had seen.

Chorus.
Was the only ship that he ever had seen.

Sir Joseph.
But that kind of ship so suited me,
That now I am the ruler of the Queen's Navee!

Chorus.
But that kind of ship so suited he,
That now he is the ruler of the Queen's Navee!

Sir Joseph.
I grew so rich that I was sent
By a pocket borough into Parliament.
I always voted at my party's call,
And I never thought of thinking for myself at all.

Chorus.
He never thought of thinking for himself at all.

Sir Joseph.
I thought so little, they rewarded me
By making me the Ruler of the Queen's Navee!

Chorus.
He thought so little, they rewarded he
By making him the Ruler of the Queen's Navee!

Sir Joseph.
Now landsmen all, whoever you may be,
If you want to rise to the top of the tree,
If your soul isn't fettered to an office stool,
Be careful to be guided by this golden rule.

Chorus.
Be careful to be guided by this golden rule.

Sir Joseph.
Stick close to your desks and never go to sea,
And you all may be rulers of the Queen's Navee!

Chorus.
Stick close to your desks and never go to sea,
And you all may be rulers of the Queen's Navee!
