ELCA and LCMS Join Farces To Defend the Crimes of CFW Walther

Someone has to set them straight about the Great Walther.
I seldom check on the ALPB Online forum, though long ago I was offered a possible position with that bunch - not a real offer. I had no interest in them, their agenda, or their doctrine. Someone on the inside wanted to suggest my name and I said no chance.

I signed up and mentioned seminary student loan debt some time ago. DP Dave Benke had a wise-guy remark and wondered aloud if the figures I presented (carefully researched and documented) were real. By the way, someone else did all the research, but he appreciates the platform. Eventually there was some recognition of the research in the LCMS, but not much came of it. The facts are too scary.

So, a LQ refugee posted more blather about CFW Walther and I posted some corrections to the Walther myth. The thread immediately turned into What Is Wrong with Gregory L. Jackson, His Congregation, His Books, and His Blog.

No one wanted to write about the facts. I thought LutherQuest (sic) was nasty and dishonest, but DP Benke and ELCA's journalist (Charles Austin) make LQ sound like material from the Awana program.

The more I answered them, the more they whined and carried on.

The next time ELCA gets together with WELS and Missouri, they will have a lot to discuss.

Here is some timeless rants from Charles Austin, an ELCA journalist who supports everything his apostate sect has promoted - and I do mean everything.

Check out any of the websites connected with Pastor Jackson, and then decide whether not you want to engage in conversation with him. We have seen his reaction to Scott's attempt to make a correction. What does that tell us? He is under no one's discipline, accepts no one's ecclesiology and is not on the roster of any of our denominations. Yet his critiques of us are as mean and harsh as any we have ever read. Let's leave him alone. Maybe he will leave.

A recent thread about Walther was totally derailed and I couldn't figure out how to delete specific posts since most of the others were responses to deleted posts, so I deleted the thread. If you want to talk about Walther's legacy, do so here.
