Sassy tells me when she wants to go outside. She knows when it is going to rain, hours early, so she sits on the porch, ears down (determination signal).
Yesterday she barked non-stop until I went from the kitchen to the bedroom. She wanted her special blanket on top of the bed, not on the floor where she left it. She has to make her nest, with her paws, several times a day. I have said more than once, "Is your nest soft enough after 10 years?"
She grins when she is back up on her bed (which I lease at reasonable prices). "Tanned, rested, and ready..." is how many Nixon PR started.
