Erin Joy wore out the newspaper photographer, trying to get one good photo for the press. Nothing worked until one of us said, in a fake tone of anger, "Erin! Do NOT hold that teddy bear!" Erin wrapped her arms around the teddy bear and grinned at all three of us. I chose these photos because Psalm 91 is often called "The Soldier's Prayer." I have often asked Old Testament students, "Which is your favorite Psalm?" Many have said, "The Soldier's Prayer," based on parents or their own military experience. I often think of the patients and their families. Psalm 91 is linked on the top of the left column. The Psalm is hanging on the wall of many homes, including the one where I am staying. |
