WELS Members Paid for Tim Glende's Stinky Old Bar

"You paid over $500,000 for a failed bar in a dying downtown area?
You must  be WELS."
Tim Glende is a regular real estate genius. He got rid of a paid-for church right on a university campus, rented space for a time, and built a church out in a cornfield on the edge of town, away from all the students. He left the congregation heavily in debt, the members driven away by his bullying.

The past is prologue.

Now Glende has bought a stinky old bar in Appleton - not for a new church - but for the evening service for the Church and Changers in town. The charade continues with Ski as the "pastor" when he is only a staff-member at Glende's church (but not listed as such on either lying church websty).

They are moving into the bar this Sunday, just in time for ignoring the Reformation. WELS is copying the Enthusiasts by using Lutheran offering money. That used to be called embezzlement. Now it is called "missions."

WELS - that pastor you sent to prison forever. He only took $300,000 or so. The Love Shack staff made $8 million disappear from the MLC chapel fund. Did anyone go to prison for that? And this Appletone robbery is over $500,000 plus the loan money to refurbish and de-stink the bar. Why is no one going to slammer?

Ski went around Appleton, drooling at all the emerging church services there. He was renting an old WELS congregational building with another emergent church. That must have been confusing for the visitors. "No, this is not the Babtist emergent church service. This is the Lutheran emergent church service. Their rock service is in the morning. We are not in fellowship with them, except when we go to Andy Stanley gay activism worship conferences in Atlanta."

SP Schroeder made Otten apologize for printing my book review where I discussed the gayness of WELS.
Until recently Ski had his blog running where he bragged about worshiping with Stanley,
and he did say worship.
