Beautiful, isn’t it?
It’s the Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee Florida. The LCMS Council of Presidents and Board of Directors are meeting at there right now.
It’s also what your eye doctor calls a scotoma.
In medical terms, a scotoma is an area of partial or entirely degenerated visual acuity that is surrounded by a field of normal vision.
In other words, a blind spot.
It’s not that the CoP and BoD can’t see the incredible beauty of the Gaylord Palms Resort. That, they can see.
What they can’t see is how it might look to the rest of us.
